You don't know me so don't judge, I actually know a lot about central offices...and the whole Bell system, working in the field for 30 some odd
years.
And, to confuse Interstate traffic, with infra-state traffic, vs long distance...is missing the point. the connections will begin with small groups at
a local level.
That is the beginning, and quite frankly, how it started in the first place.
I guess you did not read my post, so.... what is your point? Do you have any idea about "regular telephone numbers"? Behind the central office, alot
get routed via the internet as well.
And, I did read your post...Ham radio is great for voice, just not data...we thrive on data...I'm just not ready to go back to the 50's Ty, though we
may have to...and your words and advice did not go unheeded. I prefer to pick up at a different point in technology...and to state that modems, and
local phone numbers, won't get the job done is just not being completely truthful, and point to point relay services do not go through the
internet,
maybe it is you who do not understand, that is all.
