They should put big speakers in orbit over the middle east and get that guy who does all the voice overs for film trailers to pretend to be God, or better yet, Seth MacFarlane, with Matt Stone as Jesus.

That would work better than nukes, or war.

Iran should be left alone.

Human life must not mean much to you.

Your comment is very disturbing IMO and this mentality of yours is part of the reason why we are at this crossroads of historic proportions. And it's all a joke to you...

I find it funny that the people most advocating war have never seen the whole horrors of it. Most people think war is fun like COD or a good military movie. Just 5 more kills and I can get the predator missile!! I have seen firsthand the horrors and atrocities of war and know that it is something that should never EVER be considered unless America is being directly threatened. It disturbs me to see so many people say things like...."just bomb em". Or "they gonna nuke us"! Or "they hate freedom". Things like that. Irony is a beeyatch and one day these same Americans may find themselves on the recieving end of these statements from other countries WHEN America collapses and implodes from within which is bound to happen soon.

FACT: Iran has not attacked the U.S.

FACT: Iran is looking for alternative sources of energy so they can sell their oil instead of using it up. It is after all their number one source of wealth.

FACT: Iran is co-operating with IAEA and UN inspectors.

FACT: The persian empire has been around a long long time. They know alot about fighting a conventional army with unconventional means.

FACT: The U.S. has actually commited an act of war against Iran by trying to destroy/devalue its currency.

FACT: None of these statements will ever appear in the MM because they dont want people who actually think for themselves to put 2 and 2 together.

FACT: Iran attacked the US in 1979
FACT: NO COUNTRY will allow themselves to come to the brink of world war for "an alternative energy source"
FACT: The cooperation with IAEA and UN is far from full cooperation
FACT: The persian empire will not be around much longer if they don't wise up and start cooperating with the rest of the world.
FACT: The sanctions were a response to Irans refusal to quit their nuclear weapons program
FACT: None of your statements will ever appear in MSM because they are simply NOT TRUE

The only ones beating the drums of War is the US. And before you go off on a " They're gonna nuke us if we don't stop em" speil let me say this. Does this whole thing with Iran not remind you of something that happened in recent history? A little debacle called "Iraqi freedom"? Can you see any parallels with this situation and Iraq in 2003? I sure can. It was all lies. All of it. And don't tell me it was'nt because I was there. The reasons for the war kept changing so much even the flag sucking officers had a hard time trying to tell us enlisted why we were there. They lied about WMD in Iraq to get people afraid. They lie about everything. and I mean everything. They lied about Saddam, they lied about 911, they lied about Vietnam, they lied about Pearl Harbor, they lied about the Spanish American war, they lied about the civil war, they lie lie lie to get people AFRAID. They know what the rest of us cannot seem to realize and thats the fact that fear is their most poweful manipulative tool and boy do they use it to great effect. I for one am in awe of propoganda. It is so powerful that logical critically thinking people are held sway by it, even when they have been duped by the very same method time and again.

Do you know why the US embassy was attacked in 1979? here ya go.
stpeteforpeace.org...

Show me your sources for them not co-operating with IAEA and UN inspectors please.

"FACT: The persian empire will not be around much longer if they don't wise up and start cooperating with the rest of the world".

And neither will the American empire my friend.

"FACT: The sanctions were a response to Irans refusal to quit their nuclear weapons program"

Hard to quit one when you don't have one.

For starters, I was there as well, albeit probably years before you were. In my time Lebanon and Iran were the soup of the day. Iran is not Iraq. I cannot personally attest to anything concerning the whole Iraq debacle but I can with Lebanon and Iran by eyewitness account. I can tell you that the Iranian hostages and the Marine barracks bombing were certainly not false flag lies perpetrated by our govt.

I will not go into a "they gonna nuke us" spiel either. First, I know they are not capable of this and secondly. I have too much experience to see this as a reality.

I will never say that our govt is this all-good, for truth, justice, and the American way entity and Iran is the evil empire but it certainly is not the other way around either.

I never thought or said the Iranian hostage crisis was a false flag. I think it was a predictable response for the US granting asylum to their dictator (which was U.S. installed in 1953 btw) that had oppressed them for the previous 25 years. Lets say we have a Hitler like dictator oppressing us in the US. Lets say that that dictator was installed by another country like say I dunno France. Then when a revolution overthrows him and he flees to France, and France will not give him back to answer for his crimes. I for one am pretty sure the French embassy would be in ruins pretty quick.

Iran has just as much right to use any means available, to protect itself if attacked, as has any other nation! Unfortunately for those countries who have chosen not to become involved, there will eventually come a time when their neutrality will become useless. Nuclear fallout has no borders!
After what happened to Iraq, we can bet Iran has long been well prepared for any attack, and if any invader thinks going into Iran will not be much different than the invasion of Iraq, they are in for one hell of a rude awakening!
Another problem could be if Iran's religious leaders start screaming out that the invasion is an outright attack on Islam, and start calling Islamists all over the world to unite in a jihad against all non Muslims. It makes me shudder to think that due to years of lax immigration laws, Canada has allowed hundreds of thousands of Muslims to enter the country, thousands of whom never showed up for their immigration hearings, but instead disappeared into Muslim communities coast to coast. Because they bring their political problems with them, I often wonder just how many 'sleeper cells' are spread across the country, all ready to arise and fight at the command of fanatical religious leaders back in their countries of origin.
Even without the powerful allies Iran has, this will still be a war that won't only be confined to just the Middle East!
Supposedly Christians and Islamists pray to the same God, well it's sure going to be interesting to see which side He listens to!

What would some of you people like Iran to say?!..That they honor the countries that allow a strike against them, and will give them free oil as a token of their appreciation?!....of course they will kick their Deshdasha wearing grasshopper eating arses to the stone ages (not that it would make them any different than what they are right now) .......sheeshh.....no wonder all the Empires have expiry dates.and that's when this kinds of foolish assumptions and behaviors comes out of their citizens minds, and then the fainting empires ACT based on it!,out of a total desperation....and that's when god,the earth ,nature, people, animals, cells and the whole universe says: ENOUGH is ENOUGH.....you know what west is reminding me of?..some one who's shot on both legs and at the same time trying to fix the neighbor's car just because she happened to be the landlord's complaining wife...........What has become of you America!

Why do we bother teaching our children to settle their differences without violence ?

I would not condone a preemptive strike against a schoolyard bully where my son is involved....could you imagine??

What would you suggest if the bully brought a gun to the schoolyard? And none of the authorities would do a thing about it?

IMO this situation is very different when compared to a schoolyard bully scenario. Iran are the ones being bullied, but a preemptive attack on their bullies would not be a wise move, but once they're cornered and attacked, they will have no choice to fight back.

Personally, I would go for the bully's throat the very first chance I get, but I'm just an individual and Iran is a nation rich in culture who has a lot to lose. It's a shame that it's come to this, but this is where we're at.

I think in this situation it's more akin to rumors about a victim of a bully carrying weapons, and the bullies are ganging up because the victim kid can't be seen to be putting up a fight and having weapons to protect his/herself.

'rumored' to be carrying around weapons that is. Thus, the whole gang of bullies will jump him/her all at once, just in case he/she is carrying weapons.

Maybe?

Then again, throw Isreal in, and U.S. could be seen as the Parent getting involved and threatening blows in the schoolyard.

Eh. the metaphor gets sloppy and unwieldy

Who is bullying who here? Oh yeah, Iran and the US are picking on pour little Iran. Right? They are not hurting anyone, and are only baking brownies at the sites prohibited to the IAEA weapons inspectors. They don't want the bomb, but a peaceful nuclear program to the light Tehran and the surrounding areas. They are besieged by enemies on all sides. Boohoo!

If they feel so threatened? Why are they going around kicking up dirt, throwing egg in the face of their neighbors, threatening to kill and destroy anyone and everyone, and other feeble attempts to encourage an attack by their opposition? As far as I am concerned, bullying is a misnomer, because Iran has been given ample opportunity to cooperate with the international community about their nuclear program.

There have been calls for negotiations, inspection after inspection, and just overall patience by those who want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Iran means what it says. That is not asking much, and I know others will find all kinds of reasons why it is. Some like to make this out as a rather recent change in rhetoric, but this little drama has been brewing for years. They have not been attacked or threatened with an attack like Iran is threatening everyone else.

There has been no talk among foreign leaders amounting to calling others cancers, advocating death and annihilation to other countries, and other vitriol being thrown around by the Iranian government. All I have heard by the opposition about Iran is military contingency strategies should inspections fail, and if their questions go unanswered by the Iranian government. Nothing in the form of threatening the Iranian nation with annihilation like they so nonchalantly say about others. So as I have said earlier, who is bullying who?

This could be the case. I can see the US acting like the helicopter parent (always hovering) for Israel. And you are right, the metaphor can get sloppy very quickly. But, as is the case in most schoolyard fights- neither party is 100% innocent.
