I believe there is something secret going on down there otherwise why would they have no photograph areas, I can understand the no fly zone - it's not very often that planes are able to fly in the conditions down there.

But as for other explorers or such as these rememberance missions - the only time it should be allowed is if they can prove that they can cover the cost of any possible rescue mission/medical expenses/damages to the families involved - and also prove they are aware of the agreement between nations to keep Antarctica's' Environment Prestine.

NZ is not a rich Country and as far as I'm aware it still hasn't been settled as to who pays for the last rescue mission.

I too read of this today and thought to myself, "Wait a minute, so he went once, lost people and now is like 'O no this time we have more food and we're going back to find them', It sounds like a story of children who stumble upon something amazing and take it to a treehouse and then they need snacks because they're hungry by now so some return back for food and pretend like everythings normal grab that food and return and hope that no one noticed" . So what's in the treehouse?

There is probably a military base or something like that. If there is an entrance it isnt necessarily to the center of the earth which would fill up with magma.

No, we want to avoid spending millions rescing fools, so that we can instead use to the money to help people in poverty all over the word, incuding in NZ.

There is finite money. If some of it is wasted on expensive rescues of incompetent romantic adventurers, there's less for other purposes. Simple.

Agreed, my point is that instead of spending money on these fools, we should just STOP responding when they get in distress...SINK OR SWIM. Don't make it OUR problem.

This is an alarming trend I'm seeing lately: "Who cares? It's not our problem." I'm all for that when we're discussing useless wars and such, but when it comes to saving peoples lives then we should help them if we can.

Our society is slowly flushing it's heart down the toilet. =(

Someone needs to tell that to the federal reserve and the idiots in Washington DC.

Don't you love the money tree?

why do they need permission from the government? thats bullcrap governments are owned by TPTB and if there are entrances to the hollow earth at the poles they certainly wouldnt allow you to go there

military bases , seed banks etc thats the reason the ptb don't want anyone to visit these areas .
as for the hollow earth theories , sorry but i don't buy that .
maybe vast subterranean caverns and maybe traces of a long lost civilisation .

...as opposed to poverty, which is fine to make our problem? I don't get it.

This blog has quite a few channeling sessions with Agarthans, for those interested in our alleged underground friends: Intuitive Choice: Parcival on Agarthan Culture

Within our home are walls of caves, but we have the capability to mould matter as we like. We create caverns, clean caverns, with various elements and crystals. We have enormous caverns like you have never discovered and crystals larger than any you’ve seen or made. We have walls of crystal used for viewing consciousness Itself, Gajun, as SeRen#ha or SaLuSa might notate. Our lightsources are living beings: moss, algaes, phosphorescent beings. Our world is clean to us but there is a mustiness so we have heard – and to answer a different question we do have visitors from Earth surface and from other Galactic entities.

The air we breathe is composed of oxygen, 61%, Nitrogen 18%, Sulfur 12% and various other small percentage minerals and elements; we have no pollution and our atmosphere, as it were, is constantly balanced and pure, again maintained by living beings of Essence and typicality

It's channeling so of course take it as you like.

You people are luny.

Maybe NZ is just tired of rescuing the stupid people that go down there to look at the snow.

Yes, maybe i am but i would like to see how much rescues operations did cost to New Zealand.

And i would like to know how many rescues operations New Zealand did in Antartica in the last years.

Honestly i don't find much on the web, maybe i'm not a good google searcher but if someone have statistics i would like to see them.

But for now i agree with another member who said it is about biosecurity.

Simply tell them they are on their own this time and no distress call will be answered. Travel at your own risk.

Let them do as they will.

meh...

you'd think if there was a hollow earth we'd know about it.
...and if there are people there, I'm fairly sure we'd be trading or something; some rogue dude from in there wanting to see the world you know. Just as rogue dudes here have travelled there to find... snow. And scientists with radar mapping of the land mass beneath... those meddling scientists and their fancy shmansy machinery and shtuff!!

In this ridiculously lawsuit-happy world, I can see a "non-response" to a call for help being grounds for family members suing whoever did not respond. So either you spend lots of money rescuing idiots, or you spend lots of money paying the family of the dead idiots who called for help and received none - or, you get in so much trouble that you get fired from your position on the base for deciding not to help someone. It's a lose lose situation for those bases, and, I am sure in their minds they are thinking, "Why would anyone want to come to Antarctica? There's NOTHING here. And for NOTHING, we could potentially lose thousands of dollars and our jobs and have to trek into that NOTHING to save these idiots?"

I am not saying it's not possible that there's nothing in the Antarctic that 'they' (the entire world?) are keeping secret, but that I don't think that's why they don't want you to go there. They don't want you to go there because it's ridiculously treacherous and live or die, they are responsible for you...

It's late fall where they are going, and they will have to face ice and storms on their way.
With improper equipment the chanses for a new rescue operation is large.

As the yanks have left their bases for the winter and there's gonna be few other ships that far south another rescue op will be complicated and very expensive.

I've got no problems understanging that Norway and NZ don't want that kind of jackass-ism in antarctic waters this time a year.

Sometime in the 40's after he got back from the pacific he changed commands and got sent on some trip there when he was in the navy. Now as I'm older I read about it and whaddya know pops was telling us the truth

Well, there are the Dry Valleys, but the further you go inland there are kilometres (thickness) of ice.

Ant 1

Ant2

Ant3

Whaddaya know, Pops wasn't telling the truth!

I know people who have worked at the South Pole, at McMurdo and at Scott Base and Mawson. I know the head ofGateway Antarctica at Canterbury University as well as the executive secretary of COMNAP. They will also disagree with your Pops.

Also, related to the OP: Rogue Antarctic Trip

One of the many reasons people need permits to visit Antarctica is due to Biosecurity.

Hmm, honestly i want to beleive you, but it does sound EXACTLY like what someone spreading disinfo would say...

And just like everything i read or hear, im not gonna just take "your" word for it, that would be just as dumb as beleiving any one theory without firsthand proof.

And thats the funny thing about this site and conspiracies in general, No matter what someone says or what proof they have, we all want firsthand proof and in the end, your proof, is nothing more than a few little grey words on a page, that mean about as much to me as any fictional book.

I can't believe ATS sometimes.
Everyone here except two people are going on about the hollow earth theory, and how they would rather believe in that then flat earth theory. IT's so stupid! Where do you believe this information? You think your informing yourselves, but your just filling your brain with useless junk! ITS RIDICULOUS!!!

Then some guy says he hasn't heard about the hollow earth theory, and answers that by going outside more?
RIDICULOUS! You bring that to any scientific community and you'll be laughed at with good reason! ATS is a festering hole of looney, absent minded conspiracy theorists.

I think sometimes it's a question of etymology. I recognize some people believe in an actual hollow Earth which has utterly no scientific background and has without doubt been proven wrong, however, there could be giant caverns with beings living under our crust... no one really can prove that right or wrong yet.
