Hmmm... Wasn't Megavideo that place where you could watch just about any TV show you could think of? Didn't they have a limit of how many minutes of video you could watch for free in a 24h period? Also, didn't they offer unlimited access for a price?

It seems folly. The people are with the internet. If anonymous burned down the white house, the people would cheer.

In an age when insulting the government is a standard practice in common talk, it is impossible to stage false flags, for they merely reinforce the secular and religious beliefs of the population that their government is doomed. As such, the results are cheers for the act, and celebration for their fall.

soon the 51% will be able to vote away your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness from across the planet.

i dont agree with piracy in whatever form
BUT this is more than just about piracy
this is about a certain group of individuals deciding "this is what you can see and this is what you cant because we say so"

dos that not take away freedom of speech based on that alone

there is im sure many other ways to combat piracy rather than pulling site after site down
and for all the people who think Anonymous are "script kiddies"
there are a section of them that are i guess low level script kiddies
but the people running that machine are far from kiddies and far from ignorant as far as exploits and online war goes
what the powers that be might find out is this wont go away and people globally wont be told "this is how its gonna go from now on"

and if this bill does come into full effect expect the web as you know to diverge into complete carnage and warfare
i just hope the usa departments of defence etc have prepared for this as its all well and good having "uber counter attack systems in place"
whats gonna happen when tens of thousands of people focus on that 1 target and keep the attacks going?
if there security ,easures fail at some point its game over for the people pushing this bill

Anon wont go away and they wont be stopped as iv said on previous posts
how can you catch something that does not exist?
(ps be carefull what weblinks you click in association with this whole attack ongoing now as you could easily be sucked into dossing websites without even knowing it)

I totaly agree with you, but dont waste your time explaining it on ATS, nones can understand you here
They're ATS, so they KNOW everythings

Very seriously, you could even show as many proofs as you want, again and again, nones WANT to understant it on ATS

thats why we need to create the free internet for every human without some government imposing restrictive controls on our freedom of speech, it would be self governed by admins and moral crusaders to stop the scum of society for using it for child smuggling and human trafficking and crime syndicates.

Although these perils exist the the plus side of a free interenet for humanity means we can speak to each other and the world will know its us vs them TPTB.

we need to launch our own satellite internet for the world and make it free

for all i know, the dossing equipment is installed on every machine at the factory, so they can pick and choose who to implicate. i'm not naive enough, after having watched tv news for a generation, to believe this country is capitalistic or fair and balanced.

i guess its hard to explain to people what exactly goes on out there in the invisible parts of the web
specially on a conspiracy site
end of the day Anon shall prevail maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but it will happen

WE HAD a free internet. there's tons of open software and other types of free programs! the point is, there's a war against software that costs money and the only answer for why that would be is, that the push is to make this whole planet one big global plantation, where we're all slaves and a handful of people live the cushie life and we accept less and less compensation for our labor until it's virtually a do it or die scenario

wake the hell up.

if i told you there is human experiments happening daily would you believe me?
if i told you the goverments from round the world know this goes on and does nothing would you believe me?

probrably not huh?
guess what tho
its happening

so i echo the previous post iv quoted
Wake The Hell Up

where do you thin Anon and types like that hang out?
do you think they just sit on google searches then go for a certain webhit?

Time for the gov't to come out and remind the American public through the MSM

that all gov't assets connected to the public internet aren't mission critical and the

hax pose absolutely no threat to national security.

They can they do that can't they?? Without lying, I mean.

oh i am not arguing that there's a bunch of crooked evil stuff going on. you don't have to convince me.
what i'm saying is, what you see going on now, is leading in the same direction. demanding or simply stealing access to information that has a price on it, is still theft, no matter how bad the other guy acts. in fact, if you sink to his level, he's just created darth vader redux. you're doing exactly what he wants. these people are master manipulators. they got that way from millenia of manipulating human beings. it's a not new thing. it's an old trick that works because people have short memories or are being kept in the dark about how these things work, and only think past their immediate circumstances.

whats happening now has been brewing for quite some time in the underworld of the web
and as for truth well the truth is out there to coin a phrase but it depends on what subject/answer you want truth for
my personal thoughts on Clearweb (the web we are exchanging views right now on)
is that its a numbed down staged version to hide the real things going on
and what iv seen and know of the real things going on its brutal and horrific

my argument with this whole sopa act is..who the hell made america lords of the web?
yet they activley work on the policy of "do as i say not as i do"
i personally believe that whats happend in the past 24hours is just the start of what could turn out to be the worlds biggest tech fight between common man and the powers that rule

who is going to win that i cant say for sure but anon should be taken seriously

what's the point of hacking places because they make money? if you can answer this one simple question and do so in a way that doesn't require i decipher 4 paragraphs of hints, i might actually agree you have some vague point, but at this juncture, it just seems like they are being used to help usher in free everything. and if it's free. that means someone built it for free or paid for it out of their own pocket. where'd they get the money to pay for it out of their own pocket? out of the kindess of their heart, they offer it for free or because they aren't being allowed to take part in the benefit package that the elite maintain.

this is my entire point. they are using the young and not so young people of the entire planet, to force global socialism on everybody. where they get to keep their "personal property" but get to call your personal property, property of the state. they do this by saying private property does not exist, and then claim your personal property is private property. see how that works? it's all about stealing from everyone else, their time, labor and creativity, and doing so, for free. after that we get to learn who gets to breathe air and who gets to die.

the main people who organise and carry out this kind of web attack do so not for piracy or "i want that cos i dont want to pay for it"
the people i associate with and aint the regular "script kiddies"
are hoping that the fight for freedom of information and non goverment censorship can be taken to a wider audience

as with any cause thers allways people who jump on the bandwagon and divert the original cause for there own gains

do i believe people should be able to take whatever digital product when they want for free? NO!!!
do i want the american goverment or my own goverment dictating what i can and cant see as far as web content goes?.NO

hacking is a way of life
its not a game and the low level people diverting this cause off rails will be the very same people who soon have there front doors kicked in by various law enforcement agencys and hauled in front of the legal system
do i agree that should happen..YES

and on hacking and making money....Anon have hacked quite a few sites and not disclosed information such as bank details

yes they have let out peoples personal details such as phone numbers..do i agree with that?NO

the true Anonymous members are not basement dweller kids there Professional people from many many walks of life

apologys for the wall of text

Its a catch 22 situation. We dont want censorship of the internet, but because were all to passive and/or scared of what TPTB will do if any action is taken against them,we end up not knowing whether to back up 'anonymous' as continued action from them may lead to even greater censorship and give the governments the excuses they are looking for! I believe in the anonymous movement, and I really do believe its a genuine group, not a false flag operation, but im also worried that their actions will get us nowhere. We ought to stand up for ourselves and have a voice, at the same time though are we playing into their hands?

well see, there's the rub. as i mentioned in another thread here, more than half the planet's religions and high level organizations believe they are morally and/or righteously endowed with the luxury to lie to everyone else for their own benefit or the benefit of their world view and other people who keep the same world view. so why should anon be any different? they are people after all, people who could arise from many of those different world views that claim the authority to lie to you just because you aren't them.

i don't see how this makes things any better. since i can't prove that any of the people who are directing anon are interested, even remotely, in the constitution or bill of rights, i have to assume they are rather more interested in their particular world view, and as many of these other world views have outright stated in their documents, it's okay to lie to people in order to fulfill the goals of their world view.

it's like asking me not to be naive about stuff i already know most of them believe, and which i also know is certainly not interested in my well being or the well being of anyone i know. being a female, doesn't help either, cause alot of the anon members are from countries that think women are either evil or maggots in the rice.

i have no answer to your question on "why is anon any diffrent "
and on your point of "being a female doesnt help" you would be suprised how many females are out there that are just as smart if not smarter than certain Anon people

as somebody said in the post before yours "its catch 22" and sadly thats exactly how it is

we can all put our arguments for and against but is it going to stop or alter the current events? possibley not
for now Anon have 1 up as its gone global and people are slowly starting to sit up and read about whats kicked all this off
so in 1 way that could be seen as a positive
but leaves the question then..is this the right way to go i cannot answer that

i do believe tho if anon were to show up in the flesh and do this legally and lawfully how long do you think it would be before they all vanish never to be seen again

as my signature says "so many questions so little answers"

Could somebody make a fresh post and put this in i think its important for people to read

The New Tactic Behind Anonymous’ Massive Megaupload Revenge Attack

The hacktivist collective Anonymous is in the middle of a huge revenge spree after the Feds shut down popular filesharing site Megaupload today. But they're using an evil new tactic that tricks people into helping their attack if they click an innocuous link.

The Department of Justice, MPAA and Universal Music websites have all been taken down in the past hour as part of Operation Megaupload, which is shaping up to be the biggest Anonymous campaign in months.

Here's one reason they've been able to muster so much firepower: Anonymous members are distributing a link that ropes internet users into an illegal DDoS attack against these websites simply by clicking it.
The link is being shared widely on Twitter and in Anonymous chat rooms,
often with no context except that it relates to Operation Megaload.
I clicked it a few minutes ago because it was being spammed in an Anonymous chatroom and found myself instantly DDoSing Universalmusic.com,
my computer rapidly pinging the page with no way to stop except quickly closing the window.

The link is a page on the anonymous web hosting site pastehtml.
It link loads a web-based version of the program Anonymous has used for years to DDoS websites: Low Orbit Ion Cannon. (LOIC).
When activated, LOIC rapidly reloads a target website, and if enough users point LOIC at a site at once, it can crash from the traffic.
Judging from a Twitter search, the link is being shared at a rate of about 4 times a minute, mostly by Spanish-speaking users
for some reason. (Here's a link to the Twitter search, just don't click the PasteHTML link.)

The thing is, DDoSing is a criminal offense that could earn you 10 years in prison, if you do it intentionally.
With previous versions of LOIC, participants had to acknowledge this risk and press a button labeled "fire."
But now, it appears some enterprising anonymous member has retooled it so that it automatically fires if you click an unassuming link and leave a window open.

This is completely evil and could lead to huge numbers of witless internet users inadvertently attacking, say, the Department of Justice by clicking a random link they stumble across on Twitter. It may greatly increase the effectiveness of today's attacks, but it also renders them largely meaningless. Anonymous' previous attacks had what political power they had because they were acts of conscious protest; participants knew what they were getting into. This recent round seems to be not much better than a Facebook worm. The safest thing now would be to avoid clicking anything to do with operation megaupload or Anonymous—especially if it's a mysterious Pastehtml link.

seems i cannot make a new post
and i feel people should know about this before they unwillingley dos a site and put themselfs in legal
source gawker.com...
