Little FYI for you.

Fluoride has absolutely zero value for protecting the teeth, after the internal growth stage.

What this means is fluoride only works and is needed when teeth are developing, under the gum-line, so in essence we only need trace amounts when we are younger.

Bad teeth stem from poor diets, rather than lack of fluoride.

perhaps instead of a new thread about how bad fluoride is on ats every month, ats members can start a petition or SOMETHING, ANYTHING to actually get fluoride out of our water systems


or, just have everyone flag this thread like crazy, forget about it by next week and have another thread about fluoride in about 4 weeks from now

Funny thing is people have been drinking fluoridated water for ages, like my father, who is over 80 years old and still going strong. He did loose his teeth but al least they lasted longer than people whose teeth rot by 40.

When you say "it" as in "blame it" what do you mean by that? If you mean failing health, no one is blaming fluoride as the sole cause of failing health or the main cause, nice try though.

And judging by your logic a person cannot question the negative effects of cell phone radiation if they smoke cigarettes.

Caffeine is not an industrial waste byproduct, so this would be an extremely poor analogy.

Again there is no evidence that fluoride prevents, nor works on cavities. It's amazing what years of propaganda can to us from a young age.

That is a large area of the earth where the ground water naturally contains amounts greater than recommended amounts or fluoride.

Side Fact:

Notice the area of land that is the furthest from the fluoride. The UK... they also have notoriously bad teeth!

I am bringing out a point to you. Even to this day my father drinks right from the tap, he made it to 80 years old. Luckily he gave up smoking over ten years ago but i cant say the fluouride had a negative effect on him. For that matter most of his "healthy living" friends are dead. I even estimate that for 20-30 years he was on a scotch, cigarettes and tap water diet. It is funny because when i see him and he goes for a drink of water i say "not that" meaning the tap water but lately after turning 80 years old i say "go ahead, drink the tap water, your 80 yo ffs."

Edit: That was an exaggeration, dad's diet was not only scotch and cigarettes. He always kept it under control.

Calcium Fluoride is a natural substance that causes no harm in it's natural concentrations. Wouldn't surprise me to discover research on Calcium Fluoride being cited in defense of municipal Sodium Fluoridation.

Your argument is wholly invalid. This issue is not about the old maxim that "the dose makes the poison.

The difference between fluoride and alcohol consumption is that alcohol is consumed by choice. The imbiber pays for his drinks voluntarily. It is not forced upon the imbiber. I have yet to hear of any municipalities that add Bloody Mary’s or Martinis to their water supply. Fluoride is forced upon everyone who lives in a community where it is added to the water supply. Where in the charters that define their powers is it written that they are granted the power to add drugs of any kind to the public water supply? Their responsibility is to provide clean sanitary water. How does adding toxic fluoride promote that purpose?

Imagine humans.. caveman like creatures living in small sects move to an area. This area contains fluoride naturally in the ground.

My state has been adding fluoride to the vast majority of supplies, for decades. My town has been fluoridated since the 60's, and the CDC and government "assures" that there is at least 0.7ppm to 1.2ppm in most if not all municipal supplies.

While I totally agree with you that people shouldn't be forced and blah blah blah... show me proof that it is indeed toxic in the levels we are given it?

It has been the standard since the 60's. Think about that for a second. The 60's. That's 50 years.

We are more intelligent and we are less sick. The only area we are less healthy is we don't exercise as much.

So all I can think of that would make your argument valid is that if Fluoride made us American's eat a lot of Micky D's and other unhealthy fatty foods.
