It's either the sound of THOR's homeland making the sound across the rainbow bridge, or we have yet another Big Foot story about to emerge.

But trumpets of god, I don't think so. A broken woodwind instrument maybe. Hahaha

I like the Thor idea

Concerning the trumpets of God
no one has ever heard them before
they could sound exactly like that
loud noise in the sky and or ground
people in the past could take that sound for the trumpets of God
and it would probably be the first thing that come through their mind at that time

Well folks... i got no idea about the 'sound'. Everything from fracking, to Project Bluebeam, to Hollow Earth theories, to HAARP, cloakcing alien ships, cloaking government ships, cloaking shadow government ships, underground cities, ELF, to caves and coke bottles. I LOVE a good mystery and this scares the beejezus outta me. LOL. Fascinating nonetheless. I, personally, think that more than a few of these are hoaxes or disinformation. The original few, not too shabby. Love the creative hypothesizing on here. My personal terrifying take on all this?!?!? ANGELS. Not the Bible 'Angels'.... the Neon Genesis Evangelion 'Angels'. Don't know what I'm talking about??? Go blow 15 hours of your time watching the 26 episodes and the movie. Change your perspective on things.

The Earth farting methane gas? Priceless rationalization.

Conklin, that's about a 7 hour drive northeast for me. No sounds here.. yet. I'm keeping my ears open, though. Until I hear something myself I'm still hoping someone will either debunk this, or offer a reasonable explanation. So far a lot of theories reek of nonsense.

First I have not personally heard the sounds. However, in another thread, maybe two, there are maps that are tracking the locations of the sounds. In looking at the map I noticed that a small city 7 miles from me was included. There are no caves in this area. The only thing close is a salt dome that is used to store natural gas. I don't think caves are the answer. BTW this area is within 50 miles of the coast and nothing but prairie. I have not found a video of the sound in this area so I don't know if it was the same or if it was one of the 3 or 4 sounds that have been recorded.

If anyone has an audio of the sound heard in Katy, TX I would love to hear it.

I haven't personally heard this sound...I feel left out lol

From what I gather and hear it sounds metallic, like twisting metal, or big heavy rusted gates opening slowly.

Costa Rica Volcanologist and Seismologist Organization is saying there is no Earth movements recorded at the time of the strange sound.

I found this here

www.costaricanewssite.com... rica

I'm sitting on the fence with this one. But I am digging
Could it be an advanced warning system they are playing with? sounds that travel farther so people that can't be warned due to isolation can still hear the warning and prepare?

Fake or Viral.

I say "Viral" The sound is far too polished, the Kiev thing drowns in cheap Behringer tape-loop FX. Traces of discernable samples through it. The Kiev sound is used again&again, sometimes stretched a bit, sometimes compressed for a bit.
It's a stretched-out sample (of a synth-generated sound) with some good filtering and some layers of synced multi-osc. pulse-or square sub-wave for that cool rumble. And even some reverse sample that's doctored to such an extent that it's untraceable, but still influences the original sound due to interesting interference-effects. (think FM-synthesis)
Pretty darn slick&professional, so I lean the most towards a viral for some summer-blockbuster. Especially because it's basically 4 or 5(!!!) distinct notes. (sci-fi buffs will get the reference)

take the sound, compress the wave/or just reverse it and speed it up, and voila, 2-osc. ring-modulator sound with long Attack, shorter Decay, almost no Sustain and a short Release, and a second layer of babbling voices going "oy! oooh! and some filtered, cut white noise -always great for that "breathy" organic quality. A 4 sec. forest-type reverb layer over it, with some noise-filtering and the balance towards the wet signal. Or just a doctored sample of someone swinging around a vacuum-cleaner-hose. try it and be amazed!

As I said: Smells of professional sound-engineers.

(I own about 10 synths and a lot of fx-boxes, so I have made my share of eerie, stomach-churning rumbles and squeeks. Not too fond of sampling. Too much work cutting&splicing to make 'em unique)

Sorry guys. Nothing exotic (hoevermuch I'd loooove to experience some really extraordinary sound in the real world)

But hey, what do I know, I am into this synth-stuff for a meagre 25 years, and still find peculiarities about sound....

I have worked in the Fort McMurray area

I have worked in the Conklin area.....no caves but alot of huge petroleum extracting projects in the region.

Unless those filmed that within 1 km of a major gas-plant...it would not have sounded that loud..looked like an iPhone recording.

these guys were either forestry workers..or seismic workers..judging by their PPE.

Totally agree....alot of those sounds you hear in dubstep...very creatively created sounds..using massive over-dubbing. but they are sounds that are very new...BTW i'm 41..like IronMaiden and think dubstep is noise..not music...I have kids who make me listen to it

brrr.. not too fond of those "womp..brzzzzzooozzzooozzoo" sounds of dub-step too. I am from the Klaus-Schulze generation..

The closest to these cool sounds that I know of in "real-life-outside-the-studio" are the sounds of harbour-cranes with slightly rusty bearings. They could have used a sample of that too. It has that cool. reverberating, moanig metallic sound, almost like some organ from Hell, and those cranes often have different pitches too. Making for an odd, yet almost musical experience.

I don't hear trumpets, sorry. I hear something strange, but without higher quality, I cannot even say if it is real.

Hey I thought they had an eerily familiar human quality as well. I wonder if any sound guys/gals could speed it up or tweek it to see if there were any words that may be recognizable? If so please share, I would love to know! Thanks in advance!
