Oh sorry. I really don't have a theory I'm actually quite baffled by it. I was hoping to kinda review everybody's thoughts kinda for my own opinion. I know I'll take the time in ri through everybody else's thoughts in then I'll get back to you

Welcome Shamil my brother!

Okay i think I'll discard my "moving ground-pole-shift-theory" there is no seismic activity.
I'm afraid I may have to go to a more deeper suspicion that it is a dimensional crossing. ours and another's is crossing and the horrifying sounds are created from the elements present from both dimensions. I know this sounds bogus but, years ago people think that it's bogus that the world is round.
the cave, yellow stone and volcano theory is just not adding up as well. and it is now happening in cities and residential areas. If this is the trumpet of gabriel we don't know but, 2012 is said to be a time for transition.

guys dont go screaming apocalypse, these sounds have been heard since the 70´s. The x-files did an episode on it for thor´s sake.

Media coverage

The Taos Hum was featured on the TV show Unsolved Mysteries.[18] It was also featured in LiveScience's "Top Ten Unexplained Phenomena", where it took first place.[19]

[edit] In popular culture

In a 1998 episode of The X-Files titled "Drive", Agent Mulder speculates that extremely low frequency (ELF) radio waves "may be behind the so-called Taos Hum".[20]

My first thought was how much it sounds like when a dragon attacks in Skyrim. I cant figure out if its real, or a fake. Something about the reaction from the people in the video seems off. They are all looking around like its no big deal. I would be hauling ass in some direction to change my shorts.

I like the OP theory of caves. It seems plausible to me. A spin-off theory that came to mind when reading the OP is something I have never seen or heard of it myself. Couldn't it be possible for wind blowing past a cave entrance to case a sound, similar to how blowing air over the opening in a glass bottle can make a sound?

Awesome video OP, fake or not!

Somebody trollin'...

I just recorded both of them to look into this. I don't think it is.

This is how most of the sounds on the Kiev video look like:

And this is the audio from the Alberta video. Note how they seem to fade more:

The only ones from the entire Kiev video that fade similar are towards the end, and are completely different sounds.

If someone wants to state exactly what second on the Kiev video the Alberta sounds come from, I will give it a listen.

As i said in another sound threadwww.abovetopsecret.com... with a compilation video including the one on this thread
Why are they wearing earmuffs ?,if i heard that noise the first thing i would do would be to take off my earmuffs so i could locate the sound and hear it more clearly.
Highly suspect.

They cannot remove their helmets for OH&S reasons.

If you look closely, the earmuffs are not covering their ears.

Wow! Just looking at the thread of the same sound in Mexico posted today as well. Found this interesting comment...

Fracking maybe?

I have no way to verify this but one poster on the youtube comments mentioned that the film "Red State" at time code 1:10:15 has the same sound effect. It sounds familiar.

"cannot remove their helmets for health and safety reasons" But boss ,what if it sounds like a T-rex is running towards me "

One thing is both people in the video and the cameraman seem to be looking up as if it is coming from the sky. You would think if these sounds were coming from the ground, they would have a general idea of what direction they are coming from, but it doesn't seem that they do.

A member on the Mexico thread claims to have heard them, and thinks they came from the sky also:

I have heard these same exact noises...about 3am to 5am

I specifically remember being like WTF is that so I look outside nothing...then I run downstairs to see if maybe there is construction on the St but then I very specifically heard it from the sky...

Well, they don't seem to be scared by it.

And yes, they would get in huge trouble if they removed their helmets while on site. Which isn't really the point anyway because their ears are not covered by the muffs.

The video in the OP was posted a few day ago and someone suggested that the sounds had been lifted directly from this video with the voice edited out.

After listening to it for a while i think i agree the sounds are the same , minus the spoken Russian over the top. How do they compare?

I still state the idea that this is a viral video advertising for a movie (Prometheus probably). But this could be something from the sky.

Also the coulds at 0:37 is called 240p low quality ... any lower than that and we whould be watching Minecraft.

Same sound was heard in Brazil on the same date of the Alberta's sound (1/12/2012), that's very interesting once we don't have caves in Curitiba-Br. I don't think the cause of this sound is not related to the caves. We should collect all those sounds and examine the sound duration, its behaviour, location that the sound was heard etc..
