Just seems to recent to me. Can't really discredit OP for bringing it forward tho.

You're right. OP is innocent and has nothing to do with this (do you OP?
)

But one should ask themself: Where has this been for 31 years? Why does this surface, so theatrically, at the 11th hour like this?
No explanation as to where the YouTuber found it?

It seems too hokey.
Besides, where's his credentials? Or his track record of all his accurate prophecies?
What? He doesn't have any? I do declare. So essentially, anyone can do this. And here's how:

1) Decorator 'set' with that vintage feel
2) Grab your 50-year old neighbor
3) Pretend he predicted the invent of the iPhone back in the 1970's
4) Tell him NOT see himself in the year 2012
5) Upload to YouTube
6) Wait for it to make the rounds on conspiracy forums.
7) Sit back, chug a beer and laugh

The End

second line :-)

Dont ask me to put a finger on it, but from the first second this vid started, hoax came to mind. I know its not very scientific, but im sure people didnt wear jeans that colour back in the day,it was all dark denim wasnt it? I was a teenager then so i can remember that. I might be wrong tho. There is something very out of place about this guy, im not sure if its the hair or clothes or both.

Whether this is a hoax or not, I definitely think it's the same guy in the photograph – his nose, chin, general facial structure and cheekbones are the same.

So, my general questions are:

• Who was the poster who found the image of this person in the audience (what are the slim chances of this unless this poster on GLP was in on the hoax?).

• Was it the same person that posted the original YouTube video?

• Who edited the original 1980 footage? Again, the same person as above?

• Why now?

This is becoming more and more intriguing... something doesn't add up (I hope).

ya he would talk about his home which he briefly did in the begining but if you watch he says that he moved to america if you live in america arent you going to see things from were you are your perspective when he was living in france the moon landing would come up because it was historic to all humans.

Maybe.

Anyway, someone did well to find him on a French tv program from 1980 as well, imagine the chances of that. (i don't think it's him in the tv picture, it's just similar glasses, different hair colour and face if you take the glasses away)

im 90% sure its the same guy...i am rarely wrong on this type of stuff

Are we being ordered to a time-out in the ATS corner??
Or can we just rest our heads
on our desk for 15-minutes?

yes, but what is such high tech doing in California in the 80s?

It can certainly be fake and since no one has seen this before it probably \ may be is fake. That said, to get that kind of quality in the early 80s was possible. The thing people think of when they see clips from the 80s is old VHS copies. VHS was not used in broadcasting.

As a matter of fact you can watch old movies from decades ago that look real close to HD quality. Just depended on how good the cameras were and the camera operators. Since this was for broadcast, supposedly, we cannot rule out expensive high end cameras.

Dude - pay attention to this - the film is so different that it sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm assuming you're too young to recall things from the era that the french guy film is supposed to be from but it looks too differen't.

It's bullpuckey.

Let's take a 10-minute recess. Feel free to rest your heads or read a magazine from the racks.

We'll reconvene after this goes viral and ends up on the evening news telling us it was a marketing bit all along.

Someone go to the YouTuber's account (paranormal74, I think that's it) and check his recent activity. He posted on some show where two people talk about psychics. The guy on the left looks like the guy from the video. Maybe they're trying to get his for that show.

What you think? They look like the same person?
