US, Russian French and British air and naval forces streamed to the Syrian and Iranian coasts over the weekend on guard for fresh developments at the two Middle East flashpoints.
The Russian carrier Admiral Kuznetsov anchored earlier than planned at Syria's Tartus port on the Mediterranean Sunday

Our sources report too that Saturday, the giant RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV, took off from the USS Stenning aircraft carrier for surveillance over the coasts of Iran. The Stennis and its strike group are cruising in the Sea of Oman at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz after Tehran announced it would not be allowed to cross through.
This was the first time the US has deployed unmanned aerial vehicles over Iran since its RQ-170 stealth drone was shot down by Iran on Dec. 4. It was also the first time the huge drone was ordered to take off from an aircraft carrier for a Broad Aerial Maritime Surveillance Mission (BAMS).

After the Admiral Kuznetsov docked in Tartus Sunday with much fanfare, the Syrian Navy commander Dawoud Rajha was received on the deck by a guard of honor of marines under a flyover of Russian Su-33 and Su-25 fighter-bombers. This was taken as a signal of Moscow's willingness to back the Assad regime up against any Western military intervention as well as a gesture of support for cooperation between Syria and Iran in their operational plans.Sunday,

This got interesting. The Russians have the best missile technology and their supercavitating torpedoes are unstoppable. I surely know they have the ability to wreak havoc on the HMS Daring and perhaps a few US Naval vessels. The question is how much are they willing to side with Iran. Is this the beginning of the Gog-Magog war? Sure seems like it.

This is utter maddness, if it be the Gog/Magog war then so be it, it's been in the book for hundreds of years, but it is really starting to look to me that the NWO is in fact true. I pray that this can be headed off before there is no world left.

They have supercavitating torpedoes? That is scary indeed. I would not be surprised if we have them as well. I think that modern navies are behind the times in terms of weapon technology. A lot of our best and brightest, particularly in the navy will probably get killed towards the beginning of this war, should it happen.

Correction: The Russians were the first to develop and deploy supercavitating torpedoes. But since the turn of the century, other nations have their own supercavitating torpedoes.

Torpedoes aside, this is scary. A possible flashpoint between multiple nations. Lets hope saner minds prevail.

Russia cares about trade. They do not care with whom in Syria or Iran they trade so long as they continue to get favored in those trades. They will support Syria until such time Syrias regime is likely to change then they will support the new guys. They will not go to war for either because they lack the ability to project power and even if they had it do not care enough beyond securing trade rights. Anyone who thinks Russia is going to go to war with pretty much the entire world over Syria or Iran is fooling themselves.

And the drums of war beat louder by the day. I truly can't believe my eyes on this one...it's like watching a really slow car accident that no one can (or will) stop.

Bunch of posturing nothing more nothing less. Nothing to collective panties in a wad over.

I think the continual banging on about impending WW3 is the real disconnect from reality.

It is not going to happen. It seems the only people who want war are those who keep predicting it.

But to humour those people who like to fantasise about such things. The Russian naval presence in the Eastern Mediterranean tiny in comparison to the potential NATO presence. The Mediterranean Sea is a NATO domain. The Iranian threats down in the Persian Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz represent another (yes, another) guff of hot air.

Hot air is all there is at the moment. No substance, just a bit moist.

Why does Iran shout death to America and Britian and Israel and then say they want to build bombs and go nuclear in the process, because words like 'death to America' does not help either especially if they can wipe you out in an instance if they ever decided to that is.

i have read it 2 times ... didnt see any part where they would exagerate or lie
since 2001 i have started to research much on the ME subject and conspiracy theory about it
things are getting extremelly tense .. i wouldnt be surprise if before the end of the month

It's there probably because the Russian fighter jets can quickly travel above the Syrian airspace, and reach Iran...

And also, the fighter jets can quickly reach Israel....
