Was I confused! When I saw the headline I had a very strange thought. Perhaps it's my Italian heritage, but I assumed the mob had caught up with a very large snitch, and stuffed him in an old foot locker.

Well, it is. Rats can get huge. My grandfather ( Mom's dad) used to work in a City of Dallas Building and reported seeing rats the size of a cat, numerous times in the basement. Scared the pants off him every time.

That's a serious problem that can't be understated, nursing homes can have huge problems from rats eating on people. I've seen it happen.

I hope i am one of them, I remember when i caught swine flue it felt like i had caught the plague then

Looks a whole lot like a river rat I saw in San Antonio. I worked downtown and went to get supplies out of the closet. He was sitting on shelf on his hind legs. I just quietly closed the door and left. The supplies were not all that necessary after all.

His explaination was not good enough for me , nor did it really answer my question just told me about how to hold it lol , whcich is pretty obvious.

They are all sewer rats, if you do not know , with 1 dollar a day a person, we hardly can buy anything so we have no choice but eating rats , we are living near the garbage of the city so there are many rats around
For the people ask why we must hold the rat's tail and smash them like that, they are very big rat ,their teeth is sharp and they eat rotten fresh so it's dangerous if they can bite you, virus in their teeth could infest into your blood , make you fever and septicemia then die . Hold rat's tail is the safest way to avoid being bitten

you guys can tell me why not eat chicken? Well image there is an earth quake, big game gone ,all you have left is 1 chicken and 1000000 rats , if you refuse to eat rats then with one chicken you can only survive in one day ... now you are pushed in the edge of the mountain : you have only two choice eat to survive or dead. There is no kind of third choice alike go to the super market and buy food when your refrigerator is empty Till you are in our circumstance then you will understand us

I'm in north UK and I've seen bigger. My friends and I used to go shoot rats on a nearby farm when we were younger. You would be suprised how big they get!

They carry every desiese under the sun. For the record I would kill every last one of em! Remember, your never more than 6 feet from a rat, so the saying goes.
