This is just another battle in the longest war mankind has been engaged in: Individualism v. the State.

Even the state is far more innocuous than the true enemy of individualism and that is collectivism. It is entirely probable for any state to be within the realm of harmony with individuals. This is just not the case with collectivism, which is wholly dischordant with individualism.

If we blame the state we only scratch the surface of the problem, of which you have so succinctly identified, and that is the war on individualism. Once we dig deeper we understand that the state is nothing more than a territory, be it physical or ethereal, but collectivism is much more than a state it is a political ideology that intends to conquer all individuals regardless of what state they exist.

So many of my friends believe this has nothing to do with normal USA citizens. The arguments they post make sense to me so I'm not sure what to believe if it's just for terrorists or for anyone ever. It's so confusing how it's worded.

If DHS Inc. decides to label YOU as a terrorist by false definitions,

then you become the target.

We are not dealing with normal rational people in the government.

They are achieved psychopaths.

A terrorist should be one who employs "terroristic" tactics against an enemy. It should not apply to mere pacifist dissidents against a government or it's policies. However, as these definitions getting broadened over time by the government it could include not just "enemy combatants" but those who speak out against the government (ATS, Infowars, online, etc), those who hoard "contraband" (weapons, survival tools, excees food [including seeds], and precious metals), and those who refuse evacuation or inoculation orders. Welcome to the Brave New World (Order).

Excellent Jean Paul. The state is a natural progression of human civil evolution (which can still protect the individual and family) while collectivism seeks to not only supplant the individual and family but wholly integrate them into it's collective clutches. This is not natural but rather the "progressive" evolution only of those who seek to make the state supreme.

So?

What are you going to do about it?

nothing... that's what.

You're simply going to get hauled away with all the others.

Just like a "victim" in a Jason movie. Lay there curled up in the corner on the floor while the boogieman hacks you to death.

You would all do better to try and find out who is worthy of trust in your locale and organize: prepare.

If you won't do that, you might as well get ready for your cyanide shower.

What you do about it? You fight to the death if they come for you. The military needs to refuse orders and/or desert the army and go public about the army being used to kidnap people in the middle of the night.

The Gulag Archipelago :

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, polkers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you'd be cracking the skull of a cutthroat.

Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur – what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If... if... We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation. We spent ourselves in one unrestrained outburst in 1917, and then we hurried to submit. We submitted with pleasure! ........... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward."

Is this what's gonna happen? Or will people resist?

Fact is, we are at this point where we have nothing to lose.

So if you're worried that you're going to be thrown in jail never to be seen again I say, keep your nose clean. You're not a terrorist. You will be fine. If you are a normal person, goes to work, has a family, pays taxes and generally just lives life you have absolutly nothing to worry about regarding this law.

Riiiiiiiiight. That's what they thought during the Soviet Union too, well guess what, you ended up in a camp anyways... because you follow anyone for a long enough period of time, and they will commit a crime one way or another, and if they don't, well, just make up new laws till everybody is a criminal.

No but I think it's become law because of the 10 days rule. Anyway, if it isn't already law, it'll be within the next week.

In an ideal world, dozens of members of the government should be the ones being detained. They're the real terrorists, the ones using fear in order to push forward an agenda of systematically eradicating the Constitution while bankrupting our country through several unnecessary wars and killing tens of thousands in the process without losing any sleep over it.

The war criminals bombing children and innocent civilians in order to "save those people" and "makes their lives better" should be the ones going to jail. Have you guys seen that video of the two kids who were blown up and crying in a hospital? Where's the justice? Why don't any of those sick bastards responsible get held accountable? Why aren't the real terrorists being imprisoned and punished accordingly?

Why are the Libertarians and gun owners the threats? Why do people who make numerous refrences to the Constitution qualify as suspected terrorists? Where's the option for "war mongering idiot who proudly supports killing innocent civilians and taking away of our rights to save us from Al Qaeda"?

This country is beyond screwed.....

I just don't know. I think it is both sad and pathetic that we should consider this in a real sense.

It's neither you nor I nor the OP who did this. It is a definite Anti- American event.
We did not throw the first stone.

We will not know until that fateful day just how many will moo cow it along, or will die in their front yards unless they prevail against the provoking force.

What American in his right mind would work for these oppressors against all their fellow Americans?

In a simple sense, all it takes is for NO ONE to cooperate. But that's too much to hope for. There too many evil and stupid people around.

Those who side with this are ignorant of the fact that eventually, their master will annihilate them too.

So, in the mean time, they may as well become bullet traps.

I never thought I would see the day that simply being and thinking like an american as I was raised would be "~PC".

organize and develop tactics, that's all I can really say about it. Start deciding what you are going to do about it.
I am still unsure.

But for God's sake, whether there is one or not according to your belief system.. DO NOT turn on one another.

Not only that dude, but your average American is completely oblivious. When I bring up the NDAA to people who I don't spend much time with, they always say "What's that?". If the media doesn't cover it, they don't hear about it.

And obviously the media is on the same side as the corrupt crooks who have hijacked our government, so they select whatever information suits their agenda. They slipped this thing under the radar, passed it with overwhelming Congressional support (big shock), and most people have no clue about what can be done all over the world now.

I tried to shy away from this...for obvious reason -- but honestly do you think anyone here really care about about the deeper and profound understanding that you presented -- that law does not equal legislation?! No! We my friend are no controversial enough!

As opposed to any other alphabet soup agency? JPZ offers up the philosophical aspect and point of view to the situation. Are you willing to engage in and discuss the larger picture? This is what Men did 200 or so years ago -- now -- we just complain and moan about the situation presented before us. We are so far removed from an Enlightened society it is sad.

the day the "P"act became law is when the USA died , the US bill of right's, the amendments and the Constitution, all went up in flames, but we did nothing then, so why should we do something now? , When this becomes law HR1540 .. well you do see the big picture right?
