I read the OP as laughable conspiracies to share as banter with one another, not trolling. That's just me though.

I would have to say the most implausible conspiracy I have ever heard is Big Foot......I mean come on...how long can this guy hide from all the tv shows that hunt him down....

The most implausible one for me has to be the whole NWO/Illuminati conspiracy.

It just defies all logic that people a century ago would give a damn who controls the planet in centuries to come. The kind of people supposedly perpetrating these plans have a psychotic personality, they're driven by greed and self-interest. They wouldn't give a damn about their grandson being wealthy or holding power over millions of people, they would only care about themselves being in such a position.
I've believed for a long time that people are confusing corporate corruption and unrestrained greed with this fictional entity, because they need a more simplistic explanation. But all of the evidence I have seen makes the NWO conspiracy implausible and proves to me the massive web of corruption that exists between media, state, military and corporate powers.

Then there's the whole FEMA camp thing too. That's another part of it that makes absolutely no common sense. Why would anyone want the responsibility of holding millions of people prisoner? Where is the benefit to any government?

There's simply no reason to believe that either of these conspiracies exist beyond the fantasies of a minority.

That the world is only 6000 years old (or whatever it is they say)
Dinosaur bones are fake and 'God' planted them

The world is going to end in 2012

and there's this one I heard on another thread. Not really a conspiracy, but still implausible none-the-less:
That ALL (yes I mean all) women who are raped are making it up to get sympathy from others or to get back at some guy.
That ^ one pisses me off the most as I am a rape victim.

Sounds totally insane and something teenagers sitting around late Friday night thinking of ways to pull the wool over someone's eyes.... "Hey, why don't we make up a crazy ass story about aliens wanting to only eat people who have eaten Spam and then post it at ATS under an article asking members what totally insane conspiracy theories they've come upon"......

Contact the writers of South Park, your story sounds like something they'd base an episode on....... Actually they did have one on alien anal probes......

1. Young Earth Theory
2. Flat Earth theory
3. Inner Earth theory -Still, I find this extremely interesting.
4. God
5. Religion (including, Angles, Daemons, possession, Satan, fairies, pixies, creation, soul, etc etc etc) Enjoy reading the books.
6. Reptilians controlling/being the Elite of this planet. I keep an open mind... maybe there are reptilians... somewhere out in the universe.
7. Channeling(sp) i.e. getting info from someone or something out 'there' then making money off of it
8. Alien intervention in our affairs.

Our jump in tech can be explained using communication as an example... check it out

I remember a big thread about flat-earth believers which really blew my mind. And I still am more than a little dumbfounded at how many people don't just believe in shapeshifitng, pedohile, royal, reptilian, hybrid aliens but rather how they have such specific "facts." There was a thread around somewhere about cats being alien cam corders...that made me laugh. Some crazy theories are simple, benign fun--like the latter, IMHO. But sometimes people take the crazy too far. For instance, there is a flat earth society. They have a website...a message board. I do not know if the site owner is serious or if it is some elaborate, tongue-in-cheek joke, but it is amusing.

I usually give a lot of conspiracy theories the benefit of the doubt just to hear arguments for a laugh

For me it would have to be the brown dwarf star hiding in our solar system to whip us out in the future or mix and match that theory for Niburu/Planet X/Alien Planet hiding behind the sun to take us out in 2012. That theory even tried to blend in with the comet Elenin that was supposed to kill us this year.

Especially when you consider that SPAM is made in Austin MN at the main Hormel foods plant.

If aliens have all these powers they could just levitate a truckload of it some night.

That way if the folks they abduct haven't eaten SPAM they could just feed it to them first. Or better yet, just eat the SPAM and forget the people.
