For me, when I worship, I allow myself to be given over or used by the Holy Ghost, but I never just open myself to whatever is out there, I will never allow just anything to come into me.

That is the trap, right there. The "Holy Ghost" you speak of is the Human Spirit, we all have it. The thing that possesses Christians is just that, a possession. This is why Christians, especially the devout, show signs of possession. If you have willingly opened your heart and soul to Jesus, then you are probable possessed, it is just that simple. I offer my soul to no being.

I have lived long enough in this world surrounded by people who do not believe and people who do believe, I have lived surrounded by evil and good, I have lived surrounded by entities and real humans, and in my life experience I can tell you the Holy Ghost is not human spirit. There is a great difference in what is already inside us, and the Holy Ghost. We all who have experienced it, knows there is a difference.

God is a spirit, God is not human. God does not have human spirit, that is something we have been endowed with, even children have a spirit. But the Holy Ghost is so beyond our human experience that we know there is a difference. The Holy Ghost is not possessive, he is invited, the Holy Ghost does not answer according to our understanding, the Holy Ghost brings a new understanding of God and man. There is a peace that surpasses all understanding, that peace comes when we worship and that peace remains in us, and teaches us and guides us. If I must be possessed, at least it is a possession of peace. And the thing about it is....whenever we choose to walk away and say we no longer want it, it does not stay. We have the right to say, which is not what demonic possession does.

Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost and with fire, when you have it, you know the difference. Take it from me...I am 44 years-old, have lived a life surrounded by many kinds of people and have talked to those people and have been a part of their lives as they have been a part of mine. I can tell you, your statement is no different than what many of us has felt in our lives before we received the Holy Ghost, it changes your life so completely for the better and teaches us how to live better and guides us into better ways. I have lived long enough to know. What you are really doing is saying I can't know what happened in my life because you know what my life has been like because of the way your life has been. Don't assume Christians know nothing, because you have not lived our lives before belief, you want to discredit our testimonies on the basis that it makes no sense to your life.

I have lived my life, I know what my life was before Jesus Christ and what my life is now with Jesus Christ. Don't diminish my life experience, because it makes no logical sense to you.

Hi Autowrench.. I was thinking over what you wrote. Usually I agree with most of your posts. This one has me a little confused. If it was the same thing as the human spirit wouldn't we all be possessed, not just the devout? It has to be something more I think. I admit that for a couple years back in my early 20s before deciding to leave Christianity for good I did attend a charismatic church (after leaving the Catholic church). I saw people who "were filled with the Spirit." It was very real to them. In some societies the Shaman does kind of the same thing (I'm not saying its exactly the same but similar) and women who draw down the Goddess are channeling as well. Even artists claim to have channeled Inspiration.

I"m just looking to understand. We always walk around with the human spirit, but it doesn't seem the same.

I was just wondering, why did you leave the church after attending a Charismatic one? I am Pentecostal, but never considered myself Charismatic, but people think we are the same. It just struck me as interesting and wondering if the church caused you to want to leave.

It sounds like you were searching and did not find answers. That is sad that the church who claims to have all the answers sometimes do not and people find themselves wanting more than that church can give. I don't think it is the failure of Christianity, but the people who call themselves Christian, and know very little about their Bible.

I hope you have found your answers, if you ever decide to come back to this faith, I would welcome you. But at least for now we can have conversations about our faiths. It is possible, for those out there who think not, to have civil discussions with others without feeling attacked and feel the need to defend.

Take care of yourself Lunakat, we should talk more often.

You raise a very good point here, I am tired right now, and cannot formulate a proper response for you. I know that an inferior spirit can only enter upon direct invitation, that right there explains the shamans and such. I too have seen people who are filled with the spirit, and they cease to be like they were before during it. Even I become filled with energy sometimes, enough to make me feel like Superman. Know this, I do not have all of the answers. If I did, I would just order a ship and go home right now.

Thank you for understanding.
At this point I feel even one person reading -- actually reading, as a thoughtful process -- is something to be truly grateful for.
All too many others seem too engrossed in their own monologues to do that.
Funnily enough, often those are the ones who swear by "En-lightenment"....

Too bad, because it IS an important message.

*All women* are the Goddess -- every shape, size, color and age. And men have an Inner Goddess.

You are exactly right in that. It took me awhile before I found the Goddess within, but I shall never forget the experience, and the feelings of the most pure love I felt. Women, everyone of you, are visible representations of the Divine Mother of us all. You might be interested in a few threads I wrote....

Vision about the Woman of Revelation 12

Let's All Face It, We Are God/Goddess

Mother Earth, Destroy, or Love?

Thanks autowrench I will check those out

LunaKat and autowrench,

Hi, I am replying, if you don't mind because it is important. John in the final
words of Revelation Chapter 11 talks about the Ark of the Covenant. The
Ark of the Covenant in the New Covenant contained God Himself! That would
Mary most holy.

Why do you think Our Lord addressed His mother from the Cross and in other
places in the Gospel as "woman?" He's God, He would know the plan. Mary is
the "woman" in Genesis 3:15, the first book of the Bible and Mary is the woman
in Revelation 12:1, Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

Mary is not God, nor are you. Mary is the mother of God. The term Goddess
is pagan.

The New Age "the goddess within" is such a crock.

Colbe anything outside of Christianity is considered a crock to Christians. But unlike you I don't find the fact that the Goddess is pagan to be an offensive thing at all. I am Neo-Pagan Colbe. The Goddess Within has just as much validity as the God Within (whether he is Osiris, Pan, Jesus, and so forth). Are you saying that "God" does not dwell within people? For the Goddess Within to be a crock you would ultimately also have to agree that the God Within is a crock as well.

LunaKat,

Give me an example of the miraculous, the result from praying to a Pagan God. This would confirm to me why you are a "Neo-Pagan." The true God, yours and
my creator is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. A mystery our human minds can't figure. All the miraculous points to Them, not Pagan Gods created by men.

The true God "dwells in you", in your soul if you have been baptized and are free of serious, mortal sin. This is why Jesus established Confession - John 20:23, instructing the Apostles, the first priests.

True repentance and confession of one's sins to God. Catholics have the fullness of faith, they must do more, they must go to Confession. This is the way, because of our "fallen nature" for God to return to our soul. After the Great Warning, everyone who says "yes" will believe in Confession to a priest. It is
Our Lord you are confessing your sins to, the priest is "In Persona Christi."

thanks so much for replying Luna K, I like that we talk...it's very good.

take care,

colbe

John 20:23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.

Colbe, I guess I wasn't firm enough with you. Take your crap and move along. I'm not playing your game. Find another victim.

You didn't have to be vulgar LunaKat. You're upset because you can't answer
my question. Give witness to a Pagan god or goddess who granted a miracle?
Especially, would be better, a miracle in the last 100 years. Why follow a god who can't deliver?

The true God. He gave you life LunaKat.

To set it straight once more, Mary the mother of Jesus is not a goddess, she
is the mother of God. Everything comes from God, it is prophesied Mary will
crush the head of the evil one. She is the New Eve. It is God's plan.

Through Jesus, Mary will do this, you are right on that...

take care,

colbe

Genesis 3:15
I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

[15] She shall crush: Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.

Read the footnote to Gen 3:15 found in the translation of the very first Bible,
the Latin Vulgate. From the Douay-Rheims Bible: www.drbo.org...

Where do you get off thinking I owe you or anyone an explanation of what goes on in my spiritual life? I'm not playing your game of who's God is bigger and better. You act like a child Colbe. Thats playground stuff. I participate here but ask no one to accept or convert to my beliefs. You are participating in these discussions to win converts obviously.

I tell you for the final time BACK OFF. And I hope a moderator removes this thread because this is the 4th time I'm telling you no.

Hi WarminIndy, you are a very nice person and under normal circumstances I would tell you the answer to your question. Unfortunately Colbe comes here and has been trying repeatedly to bait and convert me. He is now entering harassment because he doesn't listen to no. So I will not publicly give those reasons. He would have more information on me and I don't want that. Just trust that I did have my reasons and it was 30 years ago and never looked back.

Its nothing against you WarminIndy.

LunaKat,

This is a discussion forum. The thread is a mock of Our Lord. I replied to your vulgar personal comment. You choose it, better for your soul to speak in a civil way and with kindness. You're angry because you have no proof of your pagan beliefs. The moderators know the meaning of your delicate language, the word you used was "crap."

I have never read in history or now of the miraculous coming from a pagan God.

Come back to the Jesus, He is the way, the truth and the life.

There is a reason you never saw a Pagan God grant a miracle. Its because you do not even understand the most basic mystery. And I refuse to share it with one such as you.

That is sad that the church who claims to have all the answers sometimes do not and people find themselves wanting more than that church can give. I don't think it is the failure of Christianity, but the people who call themselves Christian, and know very little about their Bible.

An honest question deserves and honest answer. I was about 15 years of age, and had been seeing the dead for some time. Every time I went into the woods at home, there were six grown men there, they all called me "Captain," and we played war, like many kids did in those days. My Mom one day, when I was a little late coming to supper, asked me what I had been doing, and so I told her I was with my men. She, a devout Christian, Church of God, went into a rage, she slapped me several times, and told me they were demons, and that I was possessed. I was made to go to her church after that, in the hope I guess that I would get rid of the "demons" she was convinced was within me. I always felt like I didn't belong there, I cannot really explain it. Those men are still with me, and have saved my life on two occasions that I am aware of. Anytime danger is near, they appear, my entire family has seen them, and a few others I know too.

There came a Sunday, the service was over, and everyone went toward the door, where the preacher stood with his wife shaking the hands of everyone. I said to him, I have a few question for you, about the Bible. He patted me on the head, and said to me, "go home, son, and read your bible, all of the answers are in there.
Well, he did not know me. I am an avid reader, even today at 58 years old. I read 3 or 4 at a time, and I am the only one who can check out as many books as I want at a time at our library, and they all know me by name.

My Mom had a Strong's Concordance, and her uncle my marriage was a Jewish Rabbi, and a Scholar of Hebrew. He gave me a copy of an English to Hebrew dictionary, which I still have. So, I got out my King James and a notebook, and went to work. Two weeks later I went back, and asked for a conference with the preacher and the deacon. I had a rather long list of questions, and things I had found in the book, and I demanded answers from these "Men of God," as they freely called themselves.

I wanted first o know about the 18 Gods and two Goddesses in there. There is only one God, the argued, but I had taken notes, so I began to name them off.
Here is a list if you care to look for yourself:
The Gods Of The Bible

Then I wanted to know why this God they always talked about was so mean? They were shocked, and said they did not know what I was talking about. So, I got out my list, and began to read it to them. I will never forget the looks on their faces...

He made false prophecies (Jonah 3:4. Gen. 5:10)
He caused adultery (2 Sam. 12:11-12)
He killed people (Num. 16:35, 21:6, Deut. 32:39, 1 Sam. 2:26, Psalm 135:10)
He ordered the killing of people (Lev. 26:7-8, Num. 25:4-5)
He was often jealous, and said so (Deut. 5:9, 6:15)
He wasn't omnipresent (Gen4:16, 11:5, 1 Kings 19:11-12)
He wasn't omniscient (Deut. 8:2, 13:3, 2 Chron. 32:31)
He often repented (Ex. 32:14, 1 Sam. 15:35)
He sanctioned slavery (Ex. 21:20-21, Deut. 15:17)
He degraded deformed people (Lev. 21:16-23)
He punished many for the acts of one (Gen. 3:16, 20:1)
He prevented people from hearing his word (Isa. 6:10, John 12:39-40)
He supported human sacrifice (Ex. 22:29-30, Ezek. 20:26)
He ordered cannibalism (Lev. 26: 29, Jer. 19:9)
He demanded virgins as a part of war plunder (Num. 31:31-36)
He required a woman to marry her rapist (Deut. 22:28:29)

The list is quite long, but I think the reader has the picture. You can look these up for yourself.

Why should I give my heart, my will, and offer my soul to this God?
He really seems like a very spoiled child who needs a good spanking. I also wanted to know why Diana of the Ephesians (Acts 19:35) called the "Queen of Heaven," was ignored?

Well, with that, I was asked, no in a polite manner, to leave and never return. So, with that. I left religion completely. I didn't even think of religion again until in 1985 when I got hurt bad in a semi roll over wreck with broke my back and neck, and put me on my back for over two years. I decided to study religions, all of them, so my good son, bless his heart, brought me books to read. Wicca really appealed to me, my Great Great Grandmother was a Gypsy, and some in my family called her a Witch. There were stories of her powers. I studied all of them, and guess what? Christianity bears a strong relationship with Egyptian Sun Worship.
Now you know why I left.

Jesus is truly God, He said so Himself.

Thanks for the Scripture references Nicholas H.

~ ~ ~

Jesus Called Himself "God"

Jesus referred to himself as God. "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am" (Jn 8:58). "I AM" is the Divine Name, the unutterable name, the name revealed to Moses in the burning bush:

Exo 3:13-14 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" 14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

By taking upon Himself the Divine Name, Jesus is declaring His divinity. At any rate, how can He exist before Abraham and not be God? If Jesus is not God, then His words here are completely nonsensical.

Jesus' words during His Temptation in the desert are also instructive. When Satan tempted Jesus to throw Himself off a cliff, even presuming to quote Scripture so as to make the temptation more persuasive, Jesus responded by saying, "You should not tempt the Lord your God" (Mt 4:7) -- in reference to Himself! Satan was tempting God by tempting Jesus, and Jesus made sure Satan knew it.

The Warning will prove that God Exists

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 @ 07:00 pm

My dearly beloved daughter strong now, having endured the worst trial so far, you will move to impart my urgent pleas to the whole world.

They, My beloved children, need to know that when I come soon they will come face to face with Me. How I long to show them that I really do exist and how I await the joy on their faces when they witness My love and mercy.

For many of My children will fall down and cry tears of relief. Tears of joy and happiness. Tears of wonder and love. For, at last, it will be possible to live a new life thereafter where all can follow the truth of My teachings. My children will not realise the significance of this Great Act of Mercy, the greatest gift ever bestowed on mankind since My Crucifixion. For it will be through this gift of The Warning that man’s eyes will be finally opened to the truth of their entire existence on this earth and beyond.

Those who are alive in this world today must understand how privileged they are to be given the proof of the existence of God, the Eternal Father and I, His beloved Son, although this is beyond your comprehension.

After the Warning do not turn back to your old ways

I urge all of you that when you have seen My presence and shown how sin, not only offends me but propels you down the pathway to Hell that you must not turn back to your old ways.

The period after the Warning is crucial for world peace and your salvation. Do not reject this gift. Grasp it with both arms. Let The Warning bring you as one in Me. When you do this and pray for guidance you will be rewarded with the New Paradise on Earth where you will want for nothing.

Rejoice. Listen to Me. Heed My message and allow My love to envelop you towards My glorious kingdom.

I love you all. The next time you feel a stab of love in your heart for another fellow being remember that this gift comes from Me. Without love there is no life.

Your Divine King of Mercy

Jesus Christ

Son of God, the Eternal Father

Hi, look at the subject of the thread. Jesus Christ. Do you believe in Him or not
Gigatronix? I just posted a message from Heaven, from Our Lord. Believe, God speaks through prophets, He speaks to every generation.

It can't be just a thread to deny Him. Proof once more, He is alive and well and loves everyone.

My bad, I misread the title and though I was in a different thread. The point about sermonizing and constantly quoting bible passages stands though. You can't prove that Jesus isn't a ripoff anymore than anybody can prove that he is. Both sides are using the same exact type of evidence and it falls on it's face in both cases.

No matter how hard you try, friend, many of us know better, have actually read the Bible, and researched it, and know the truth of your little cult. One day you too will know the truth, but I fear it will be too late for you to do anything about it then. This is not a flame, I love you, colbe, and am attempting to educate you. If you choose to run away and plug your ears, that is your choice, and your right, and I myself will fight for that right. May the Goddess bless you, friend
