On the "Moderating Policies" page I read 'what is' and 'what is not' allowed, not "Who". Perhaps the 'Names' were edited out yet I see no evidence of this. Even if this is true it has been edited, meaning corrected. I'm sure they will let Alex post comments in the forum as long as he abides by the policies.

somebody should tell mr. jones then. and boy would i like to see the
reaction to any such post.

You may think Alex Jones is responsible for a large portion of the people that are protesting OWS. That's fine and I happen to disagree. However, the protest is not about discussing conspiracy theories.

i didn't say "large" portion, i said "decent" portion. might only be 10% but that's certainly quite a few people if the movement contains at least 10,000 people. don't misquote me please.

Where is the distain for these despicable groups? Does OWS support these people or will you, as a voice for OWS, denounce these groups right now? Pick and choose! I’d love to see which one’s OWS will defend.

hitler and stalin were buddies.they had a pact of non aggression between them. when hitler invaded russia, stalin supposedly didn't know how to react and was so stunned, he didn't do ANYTHING, while hitler marched thru countless russian towns and cities and killed everyone in his path, all the way up to the gates of moscow. the excuse for stalin's inaction was that he was shocked. the excuse for hitler's defeat was that german troops didn't know how to fight in the russian snow. what? you mean there was no snow in germany?? do tell! and if you believe that, i have yet more mountain property acreage in the florida everglades to sell you. cheap.

most likely there were anti-stalinists in that part of Russia and the german troops that marched thru were sent to their deaths there. they got rid of each other's bad eggs, perhaps? i mean there must be SOME reason why a guy as ruthless as stalin was shocked by anything and why hitler's german troops which trained most of their military careers in mountains and snow, couldn't handle snow. it's .....well .......you know.

Alex Jones has been cashing in on human stupidity for 18+ years. He hasn't done much for the cause he preaches. Kind of like the pope.

free speech isn't predicated on whether you agree with it or not. that's the whole point of the ows protests not being denied their free speech.

I guess the people that made the rule on their forum got the idea from Stalin. Silence political freedom...

They may not want him to cash in on it. I'd ban Alex Jones from anything. He'll take anything and twist it into misinformation. He's really very talented, but taken seriously far too often.

well i agree that since it is a private website, the owners do have the right to say what is and isn't allowed. the point is, it's hypocritical to deny people to post just because you disagree with "conspiracy theory," yet have a ton of conspiracy theories driving your movement in the first place. and the phrase "conspiracy theory" doesn't automatically equal lies or truths, they're just points that need to be researched and decided upon.

i also agree with their right to curtail the amount of advertising on their site, as it is a private site. however, all they really had to do was tell jones that his data was okay but spamming ads was not, if they were truly interested in free speech for everyone.

anybody wanna use the way back machine (internet archive) to see what that page looked like 3 weeks ago? maybe there's a snapshot, and if there is and it doesn't contain alex's name... new questions arise

I like this ban. OWS is trying to promote a serious image, and while I might agree with some of the banned information, you have to admit that it definitely does not help the cause. Try to consider the overall goal and who OWS is trying to appeal to.

Their free speech and not others'. They believe that when they speak, they speak for the rest of the 99 %. Yet when people with opposing viewpoints try to express themselves they are banned. I've watched the chat activity myself and they police it very intensively. People with opposing views are quickly banned and all their messages deleted. They talk all about direct democracy and the people's voice and all, but only when it suits their specific agenda of Utopian socialism.

Alex Jones hasn't been spreading the truth, he's been a loud mouth attention seeking lunatic who cashes in on people's guillability. He always wants to take over festivities, anmd make things look ridiculous.

Just check out who signs his paycheck, and his legal team, and who they have ties to. Seriously.

I support OWS but you won't find me at their rallies.

So now the movement that detractors claim is about nothing is now about free speech because Alex Jones lies and isn't banned like he says he is? His free speech is being denied on a private forum that he isn't banned from? Is he being pepper-sprayed by OWS too? Did OWS send police with swinging batons to encourage him to practice free speech elsewhere?

As I read about OccupyWallSt.org and then the attacks on Alex Jones by ATS Members, it only goes to confirm what I have been saying all along. I support and agree with Alex Jones but I am decided to withdraw and let all of you kill each other...maybe America will have a chance after most of you are gone.

What did you expect? Occupy Wall Street is a full blown Democrat movement. Anyone who does not fit into Obama's plan for reelection will be rejected. MSNBC, CNN, CBS, and ABC news have been putting the progressive stamp on this movement since day one.

"Redistribute the Wealth!" is their battle cry.
