Yes there is a world that u cannot sense naturally that makes up part of reality. Take audio or sound for example. A standard human ear can hear frequencies from about 20 Hz to about 20,000 Hz. I agree with acidhead, civilization evolving million years doesnt mean nothing. They could have technology, maybe they couldnt. Evolution doesnt mean advanced technology, they could easily be sitting in trees for million years and now they discover that you can kick a donkey, so the next step - sitting in trees -> kicking the donkey. I have just one question. If the government uses fear to control us sheep, then why would the government hide the fact that aliens are visiting us on a regular basis? For claims like these in reality, i would stick one of my percings into one of your eyes, apart from that, say something useful, or prove my opinion as it would be wrong, other than that, dont write here no more.

How do you define sentient? Tool using? Birds, apes, insects have been shown to use tools. Language? Again animals do seem to have that. Coco the gorilla has thousands of words in her vocabulary and has strung them together into cognitive thought without prompting. Building things? There are people on this world who have never set foot in anything close to a town or city, let alone a grass hut. I don't ask or say anything purely out of antagonism. I would like to see your point of view without the typed yelling or threats. Dialogue, that's why we are here.

The title of your thread is Aliens do/don't exist..So what? You did bring up the doubt that there are no other sentient species in the galaxy/universe. I kind of thought that sentience was the crux of your argument. Based on just the thread title then.....

Aliens do exist- Cool, hopefully we can and will have some communication with them. Find out the similiarities and differences. What's going on out there.

The world does suck in alot of respects. Sometimes I feel it's circling the rim. The thought of life elsewhere, and sentient life, personally keeps me from giving up all together. It's not much to go on, but there you have it. If your right, oh well, not the first disappointment in my life, not gonna' be the last. I'll deal.

Grady, its really not a point of his disagreements with me. In fact, it was never a point in my numerous disagreements with you. Unfortunately, some people cannot take someone telling them that they are narrow minded in any sense of the word, even though nearly every word that oozes from their fingers and mind is in fact "narrow minded". I just want people to open up their minds and accept the probability that life is not as it seems. My disagreements with you about Politics actually had nothing to do with, say, your support of Bush, but rather your utter lack of the possibility that he has done something wrong. There have been a few times I have argreed with what you have said about things like the Pentagon Attack, etc., but even in those times we should do our best to challenge someone's beliefs.

PS- If you haven't already noticed I try to play the role of Devil's Advocate in many of my posts because everyone needs to back up what they are saying with either information they have learned, examples, statistics, evidence, etc.
