I went on for years paying all the bills and mortgage first, it left next to nothing after dog-cat-chicken feed, food for the family cleaning supplies and TP, very few extras and my beautiful deserving intelligent kids did not even own a cell phone or pocket game, no new clothes except back to school and xmas, it has been hard to watch as others got bailed out and received pity because they drove new cars, had all the latest gadgets and went way over their heads to keep up with the Jones.
I could go on, I would love to see a real revolution happen where mediocrity is not rewarded, but those days are over.

Just be thankful this isn't Syria.
1. Machine gun everyone.
2. Front end loader clear the bodies.
3. Fire hose wash the blood and brains from the area.
4. Park is open and ready for business as usual.

go ahead and pick sides...i'm still wide open to it...
it wouldn't be so widespread if not for our government...hate it all you want...label it all you want...it's still the people's freedom of expression...
I lack understanding as to why so many people are supposedly proud to be american, but at the first chance they get want to take away people's right to protest just because they don't personally believe in it...it's so hypocritical to consider yourself a proud american if you're willing to take away other people's right to speak their minds and their unhappiness in our government, unless it coincides with your own personal belief's...
as for the protests being unsanitary in any way...the only one you need to thank is your state government for not allowing urinals for these people...edit on 15-11-2011 by here4awhile because: (no reason given)

Thing is if they were expressing and not just taking over and setting up encampments it may have gone differently. Parks need to be cleaned, they need to be a safe place to take your kids to play, they need to have order and not chaos as they are public places for everyone.
I would no sooner go down to my local park which closes at 6pm, and set up camp to break the rules trying to change the rules. If I were to get involved... I would become a representative for first my community and then my county, I would do it through the system and not through a big party.

Yes. Jump me, call me names, label me but this is how I see it, it is only going to cost those who pay into the care of the states and cities more in the long run. I am not rich or even in the middle class but these movements are going to raise my taxes which will hurt me not make anything better.
I still have not seen a single gathering where anything was substantially raised or where solutions made made any sense.

I think they are losing the white collar workers, the services that could have and did join on-board in the beginning, and that has defused this before it even started.
I suspect there are serious changes being made behind the scenes to regroup and come back stronger and more organized, or at least I hope so. When I see the change I wish to become I will join in myself but not like this.
Think about the countries we have seen rebel, nothing changed there either but loads of people were taken to the streets by the millions worldwide, but they also were only a disruption and in the end made matters worse for the poor and common person.
This is going to serve tptb in the end to have even less empathy for the common person and that will equate to a much worse situation in the end.edit on 15-11-2011 by antar because: (no reason given)

There are ways of dealing with those problems that are constitutional. This is just an excuse to remove Occupy from the picture, and I don't like it. last I checked, unlawful seizure of one's property and unlawful destruction of that property was unconstitutional.edit on 15-11-2011 by Evolutionsend because: (no reason given)
Hmmmm
Think about this. If I decided to pitch a tent on your lawn, and tell you its mine, would you have a problem with it?
If I decided to protest,at ANY time of the day, because the size of your house, was bigger then my tent, would you have a problem with it?
Would you want me gone?
Or Would you open your doors, and allow me to stay, because I believe that right is mine ?

new york should have to pay for all the gear they are currently trashing. they easily could have kept them out them brought them in to collect their gear. there is NO NEED to trash private property
now i don't back them but this is JUST SO WRONG
OWS should have to pay for all of the stuff they trashed and all of the costs they have racked up on the cites around the country.
how about asking the fat cat bankers to pick up the cheque for the cleaning crew ...out of their big fat bonus payments that they worked so hard to screw the cities out of?
