Well, I don't care too much, porn doesn't upset me too much. I haven't had any on my Facebook, but maybe that's 'cause I don't ever click on links?

But I find it really distasteful that so many here make hostile comments about the users of Facebook.
I have my whole family in different parts of the world, and it is through Facebook we keep some knowledge of each other. That's how I find out when neices and nephews graduate, cousins have babies, uncles are going into brain surgery, aunts are retiring..... pictures to see how they have all grown and changed over the years.

Living without any family near me was very difficult and depressing for years before Facebook, and it has been an aid that way. Why so many wish that people like me "suffer" is incomprehensible to me and shocking!
I don't think porn is going to make anyone suffer- but that desire is shocking. What the heck does my looking at Facebook to keep in touch with my family do to YOU?

Star for you Bluesma.
You said what was on my mind.

With facebook and yahoo email I can keep up with family and friends all over the world.
You just can't beat the price.

Any and all public communication is subject to abuse.

I grew up in a home that had a picture of a huge ear by the telephone stand/seat.
It was to remind us that no communication is safe.

Facebook is fun as long as you keep it light.

Peace

I've been laughing my ass off all weekend on Facebook. In fact, I just saw photoshopped pick of Justin Bieber sucking a you know what. Nasty, but friggin hilarious. I guess it's bad if little kids see it though.

LMFAO, I JUST literally saw this 1 minute ago, too.

all my facebook friends have been complaining about this porn thing but I haven't seen anything on their accounts, then again I go on there about twice a day for a second at a time, I should delete it already.

I am surprised people are still on facebook. I thought facebook went to the order of the myspace. The land of last year.

Anyway, I'm sure porn will be spread around facebook sense sexuality is the 2nd most basic human instinct of coarse.

What is the next fad anyway?

man every time i click a naughty link on facebook i get some bull posted on my wall , i don't know bout you guys but the first time was enough to send me back to google like everyone else with common sense

LMAO

It's like the dog going for a fake throw....

I had often wondered why certain sites had "like" buttons on their content. They were planning this for many months.

This explains how it can be proliferating, though. Curious George clicks on a link and then it has it post on his wall that he likes the rooster and his friends should check it out. - A couple of them click on it as well, and bam.

If Face Book doesn't have a way of killing a redirect to a specific link, and/or the reposted redirect is constantly changing to another link or server.... I could see how they are having problems containing it.

hahahahaha uhh well that wasn't quite where I was going with that. I was merely making the point that it is a social networking website, so people that join shouldn't be afraid of a little hardcore TLC.

I am glad ATS isn't saturated with porn! I go here to get away of all the crap media tries to spoon feed us! I want information, not things to waste my time!

I do not belong to (Facebook)....and now I am glad that I don't.

There are many (young people) on Facebook and being subjected to porn....is just not right.

Obvious to me... the person or persons who did this are very selfish and self-centered. They don't care about who they subject porn to...against their wills. They obviously too don't care about the consequences...of how this spam may affect some people.

I personally find the actions of the people who did this... inappropriate and disgusting.

Ok, I think I found the source. There's a page called "CHICA CASA BLANCA SANTA ROSA EL ORO ECUADOR

I seen that a friend of mine 'liked' the picture of a naked girl on there and it appeared in my newsfeed with the picture that he liked.

It seems if you like the page or a photo the spam will commence- I don't want to test this theory.

Star to you, Domo.

I, too, hate facebook because it encourages mindless idiots to show off their empty and pointless lives.

And it encourages bullying.

Idiots who hack sites are also mindless.

I sincerely hope that there a few people left in this world who are intelligent.

Your response was grossly exaggerated. No one is hoping you are tortured, we're hoping you are put out enough by this to quit using Facebook for the good of all mankind. Why don't you try calling people you care about? Because you don't really care. That's why I hate Facebook.

SHOCKING AND INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

I don't really understand the logic behind this.

If I started putting violent images and pornography inside your home mail box, is that still amusing?

If I came to your place of business and actively prevented you from working by harrassing you, is that still amusing?

Just because it's the internet and it's people you don't know doesn't mean it's not hurting people. Some violent images I've seen have stayed with me my whole life.

If people don't want to use facebook they should vote with their virtual feet, not try to force people to stop using the service.

Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I'm not a fan of this at all.
