It's pretty serious if they're spreading deadly diseases. 21st century "Black Plague". Whether your for OWS or against it, this needs to be addressed and taken care of immediately. The organizers of these protests should know better. Where's the CDC on this?

I've no problem with the idea of plague still existing.. or that various agencies are out there monkeying about with it, and no doubt worse than that..

I was addressing the idea that some people seem to have that every disease under the sun is going to end up linked to ows. That kind of rhetoric was flying around pretty thick at the time.

And knowing what our government once did with small pox and some blankets... I don't put anything of that sort past them.

From wikipedia

The plague disease, generally thought to be caused by Yersinia pestis, is enzootic (commonly present) in populations of fleas carried by ground rodents, including marmots,

The importance of hygiene was only recognised in the nineteenth century and until then it was common that the streets were filthy, with live animals of all sorts around and human fleas and ticks abounding. Any transmissible disease will spread easily in such conditions. One development as a result of the Black Death was the establishment of the idea of quarantine in Dubrovnik in 1377 after continuing outbreaks.[citation needed]

note: filthy unclean living conditions greatly contributed to the spread of the disease carried by fleas and rats.

Perhaps these Occupy camps would be the perfect locations to relaunch another small pox epidemic when you consider the following...

Over the last year, the Obama administration has aggressively pushed a $433-million plan to buy an experimental smallpox drug, despite uncertainty over whether it is needed or will work.

Senior officials have taken unusual steps to secure the contract for New York-based Siga Technologies Inc., whose controlling shareholder is billionaire Ronald O. Perelman, one of the world’s richest men and a longtime Democratic Party donor.

That being said

As you probably know, smallpox was eradicated in the wild decades ago: mostly because it was a genuinely terrifying threat to humanity, and humanity didn’t get to the top of the food chain by being anything less than ruthlessly efficient when it comes to threats. So the virus now exists only in a few research locations, and we do in fact maintain sufficient stocks of existing vaccines to control an outbreak (whether via accident and/or terrorist activity).

Perelman’s drug (ST-426), on the other hand? Not tested on humans, costs 85x what the existing vaccine does, is only intended for people who missed a four day window after exposure – and was fast-tracked through the approval process by administration officials anyway, to the point of reassigning health care experts who kept pointing out all of this. And, oh yes, said officials denied the existence of correspondence between them and the company (Siga) that makes ST-426.

And a link to SEIU ANdy Stern and a link to the OCCUPY movement via SEIU

the administration deliberately eliminated competitors to Siga from the bid process (claiming urgent need) to the minor detail that Siga brought SEIU leader and key Obama ally Andy Stern literally on board in 2010.

Straight From NY City Zuccotti Park a new Respiratory Virus has been born.

"Zuccotti Lung"

The Symptoms.

There's no Web M.D. page yet for Zuccotti lung, but the symptoms are: deep, phlegmy cough, low fever, and a near-fatal allergic reaction to bongo drums.

Link to Story

So, you think the hospitals treating the protesters with "Zuccotti Lung" will seek federal aid for this.('

I don't think that it is a new virus. It is just what the protesters are calling it. It's probably just bronchitis.

Like most fool's you think that just because you say it ,it must be true. I have gone far beyond just this post to support my beleif's on what your OWS has turned into and what is still to come.

Watch and wait my friend, you will see the end result of your false movement and fade just like all the other new registered poster's that come and go for every event that makes fools of you.

It´s not my OWS, nor am I a part of it. I do sympathize with them and I´ll fight against the obvious propaganda against them.

And are you suggesting I registered on this site for supporting OWS? Well I must´ve had a vision back then.

Besides, I´ve been an acrtive member here since at least 2006.

It has nothing to do with being a "man ,bro",there is no point to it and accomplishes nothing. All your trying to do now is argue with no debate and it only ends in ridicule.

If that is so, then why did you make your initial remark?

Seems like you were the one that was starting this.

They ARE lowlifes, blaming everyone but THEMSELVES for their mosfortunes, and/or bad decisions to get them where they are, AND THEN creating conditions that cause disease/illness, which no doubt, they will blame on SOMEONE ELSE, so yes, in my eyes, they are LOWLIFES!

And you magically know what all these people are about because....you watched some videos?

Or did you go to an OWS location and talk with these people and ask about their lives.

Or are just a biased sour grape that is spouting wild assumptions and accusations?

Jeah, probably the last.

This is the best example to make the point to you slick. You are nothing but a self absrobed A** that wants to argue and force your opinion on other's with no facts as you admited that you were not or had no part of the OWS movement.

Flame on fool...............I am done here.

You keep swinging, but keep missing. You are trying too hard sport. Force my opinion with no facts? I only asked the guy questions, valid questions that is. He seems to be labeling the OWS people with everything that is negative.

What does me not being a part of OWS have to do with asking this guy what he bases his accusations on?

Seems that the guy I responded to is the one that is forcing his opinion without facts.

Flame on fool...............I am done here.

Your feeling of victory is a figment of your imagination. The only thing you have proven is that your anger towards me is making you post things that don´t make sense at all.

Also, you are the one that has to resort to direct personal insults, and so does the poster I responded to.

Jeah, you guys are obviously the bigger person.....

Do you know both of you are in violation of the Tand C of this site, and that I am absolutely not?

You think about that before you pat yourself on the back.

Welcome ringworms and scabies!

www.thegatewaypundit.com...

Police issued four tickets from Friday to Monday morning to people smoking in the park and having an open flame, police spokesman Zach Friend said. One woman also was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Sheriff’s deputy April Skalland said deputies have issued 16 tickets for illegal lodging and arrested seven people around the protest since Oct. 7. The arrests have been for being drunk in public, being under the influence of drugs, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, Skalland said.

Police said there have been reports of ringworm and scabies at the camp in recent days. County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment about health conditions at the camp.

LOL

OWS now are spreading disease? Sounds like fear mongering, first of all we are not the ones in the tents screaming about how corruption has infiltrated and is screwing up our government with lobbyism instead of the PEOPLE, and not to mention our job market when they can pitch their own tent in some far eastern country and pile children in there to make our shoes and shirts, and belts and whatever else, playing them 2 bucks a week instead of providing work for Americans to keep them out of parks and tents, to keep the ignorant idiots from posting stupid fear mongering posts like this one, because they do not understand what is or has happened around them.. Instead its easier to call the kettle black...

I think people in general are just dumb, and follow the leader just like they did on the way to the lunch room in kindergarten...
