Although i feel for this young lady, i must stress that (as a victim of sexual abuse myself), i had very little to NO support from anyone around me whilst this was ongoing in my life, even afterwards, my mother refused to believe me...instead siding with the abuser over me. But what i would like to stress is that even with NO support or LOTS of support it is a personal choice on how you deal with it. There are those out there who receive support but still commit suicide, there are those who get NO support and don't commit suicide.
And your point being that Ashley was weaker than some?
Sorry for your pain and even more sorry for Ashley. Glad that some people have the dogged determination to roll with the abuse but I have to say the weakest, most vulnerable and most fragile are MOST in need of outside intervention and help. Someone to notice. Someone to care. Someone to act.
And to the OP. There was a teacher who knew of the abuse and went to the Police.
How is this teacher different than Joe Paterno who reported the crime to officials and then let it rest?
He felt he had done enough. I applaud that teacher for taking the initiative but am critical as well because they stopped there.
That was a boy (and perhaps many) and this is a girl (also perhaps her sisters).
Someone should go down for this.

This is such a sad story.
Regarding the younger sisters: I wouldn't be surprised if she protected them by distracting the abuser and taking more abuse on their behalf.
That's what I used to do.
I'm not even going to try to read her posts, it would affect me too deeply.

The CIA would have shown up on her doorstep if she had posted a picture of a gun or talked about drugs. They monitor everything, right? If the CIA didn't seem to be connected to a satanic child molestation network, they might flag that stuff.
I don't blame her at all. Our system is a complete and utter failure and many in the human race make me feel like it's hell on earth being alive too! RIP.
Look at the pic of her with her Dad.
Look at his eyes....yuck!

No my point is NOT that Ashley was weaker than some, my point is that support, whether recieved or not, only has a limited effect. You can be supported to the hilt by everyone, people can be punished etc but its the battle with the self thats the defining point. Support isnt the only ingredient required in this kind of scenario, yes it can help and does help but not for everyone though.

What is it going to take for people to pay attention and do something. This young woman cried out for help...and (apparently) got none. As you pointed out...there are some fakers out there. I think we should take all of the abuse and suicide statements seriously....then if we find out some are fake ...deal with that and move on to those that are not.
There are too many suicides (in reality) among the young people....where is the help?
