We really ARE alone ("Aliens" are not "E.T's" they are "E.D's")

In order to give an inkling of what I think of this OP’s post, I am going to have to borrow from Carl Sagan’s character, Eleonor Arroway, and expand on one of her most famous sayings a bit.

If we are alone in this universe, then it is a “frakking-frickilous retardedly-humongous stupendously-horrendous and head-splittingly” aweful waste of space.

Now seriously... What was God thinking? Creating our little planet and all of life on it. And then continuing on with the creation of the never-ending too-vast-for-our-little-pea-brains-to-comprehend Universe (and possibly a multi-verse and then some) and then decorating the Universe with all those stupendous sights which we will NEVER EVER have the opportunity to truly appreciate?

Boy – Our 70-odd year transient life-span on this little dusk-fleck is truly a fantastic experience and does enough justice to all of THAT! Sounds like one hell of a divine plan to me!

You've yet to post a single piece of historical evidence. You can call bible verses historical evidence, but they aren't. Catholics are christians, because they believe accepting jesus is the way to heaven. That is literally the definition of christian. Your own beliefs are no less cult-based than theirs.

Again, you can SAY you posted historical evidence... You can BELIEVE you've posted historical evidence... But nothing you've posted would hold sway in a court of law... And in this material world, that's really what matters... And just because you have a gut feeling about something doesn't make it even a little bit true.

Anyway.. Where is your evidence that the OT is much older, or the oldest known historical document? Please, do provide it.. because if your refering to the torah then your talking about a different religion.. then it dosent count.. plus.. a conversion of hebrew to english, writes a completly different story then what the OT tells us..

Eviloution? Really? A demon, by definition.. is a soul-less being.. or lack there of.. Now if a demon entered my life, wouldent it want to have some fun? Actually, one of the only groups of people who read these documents as historical context other than the religions which revere them are Ancient Astronaut Theorists.

Which of the bible creation stories do you believe?

For record theres at least 2 in the OT alone... and a third depending on your interpretation.. But I cannot add that one in because I dont have 'the good book' to sit and reference from..

The first is in genesis.. 7day blah blah.. second.. duteromy? maybe? and third, no idea..

But im sure you understand my question enough to answer it at the very least.. Whats your belief on creation?
