Also I would like to point out how even holidays with meaning like Christmas are celebrated my many non religious people. I have a very personal sort
of belief, I believe that we are reincarnated upon death and that our bodies are just basically vessels that we occupy. I believe our souls are as old
as the Universe even and that our lives are eternal (no heaven and hell) although I believe that we can eventually end up in a form of heaven
eventually (some might call this belief similar to reaching different densities or dimensions. I can't explain exactly how I feel this way to be
honest, its just how I feel. Also some reincarnation stories are very compelling, especially those from children which are proved accurate.
Anyway sorry about all that I just wanted to demonstrate how despite this I celebrate many Christian holidays just because is a tradition we have that
is more about friends, family, love, sharing and giving that just uses a Christian name. Many maintain that Christian holidays were changed anyway to
convert people with other beliefs, making holidays closer together to make them feel that they are changing less. Sounds odd but in history converting
people sometimes began by just changing the religions name and practices were gradually phased out. It made people feel that they still had their
religion as they couldn't be stopped from practicing their holidays etc.
Basically holidays often have nothing to do with religion and are simply a tradition for the people who want something to look forward to and lets not
forget an excuse to get paid time of work!
(why is spell check saying that 'practicing' is not the correct spelling? lol
