Four Corners did a documentary last year on what goes on behind the scenes in Asian maintinance of Qantas so it's not a bunch of lies.

For any sane person reading this thread - the word 'maintenance' is used as an excuse by Australian white trash (aka bogans) posters here. It is thin fascade used by gimps to spread their unworldly, zenophobic and racist views towards Asian people.

Pity them, as they believe that only a true Aussie - a half drunk, muscle car driving fellow bogan can fix a plane.
That's right only within 21 million in OZ as against 3+ billion in Asia can maintain an aircraft properly.
It is pathetic.

not sure if it was on that but i heard a lot of the people in asia were doing 10 hour+ shifts and not getting overtime

It will be interesting to hear what Fair Work Australia have to say today after they reconvene. I've also been wondering what the legality is of a company locking out union employees, I thought that was covered y the discrimination legislation.

I could be mistaken because I don't know if Qantas is locking out just union employees?

Its not about race... its about nationality ...perhaps...but safety definetly.

Its not racist to want to keep jobs in Australia is it?

Many of Qantas employees are Aussie born or brought up , they have pride in working for an Aussie company with one of the best safety records of any airline in the world if not the best.

How much pride will a foreign nations citizen have in maintaining aircraft to the standard of those who love Qantas?

What about the security risk...or is that just nonsense?
