Song fits the 'OWS' like a glove. I used to listen to this song when I was a teen in the early 90s.

Too bad this generation doesn't know what real heavy metal music is about.

Thank god I grew out of that mind frame.

I was a really angry teen and young adult, so I can sympathize with these protestors. As a result of becoming more informed, I now see where all the bull crap flies. Protesting doesn't solve anything.

If you want to make a serious change, get people to boycott certain stores, banks, and institutions. Hitting them in the pocket is more affective. Even though it may be a slow process, the end results are much more constructive. Look at what happened to NetFlix. When they separated and raised the price of their services, people started to head toward their competition. As s a result of the massive exodus, NetFlix had no choice but to revert the changes.

The sheeple? Sounds likes an awesome group. Yes, life is hard. Everyday there is a story on the news about another person who is being prosecuted for getting rich by filing fraudulent paperwork that lead to people like you losing homes. The 53% work hard and struggle to get by while the 1% is actually getting richer and richer doing nothing but screwing the 53% I worked today. It was hard. I earned my money and I am happy with that. Now if I could somehow make more money by simply making up fraudulent documents that eventually lead to me making a gambling win and you losing your house I am glad to hear you support me still because you understand that # happens and that is just too damn bad.

Actually, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CNN, and CBS got caught in making the 'TeaParty' look smaller.

Even though FoxNews (the only conservative station on tv) was showing everyone the exact size, through live news feeds, the other stations angled their cameras to make the protests look smaller.

Its a very well known fact.

Also, the media ignored the 'TeaParty' for a really long time.

Agree with all of those statements.

I've been against the Occupy movement since it started because unlike a lot of others on ATS, I know exactly what happens because I've seen it too many times over the last few years to be unable to ignore it any longer.

Group of people take public land hostage and refuse to move while espousing comments and chants that most people agree with and support but don't want to push in the way the protestors do.

That group then uses any excuse to blame police for being brutal and using unnecessary violence against them by instigating the law enforcement until they have to react, either to quell violence or make arrests or even to charge in and pull someone out to get them some medical treatment.

Said group then manipulate the media and post online with videos and comments with a very one sided view so as to gain sympathy while weak minded sheep agree and make their anti-police rants.

Truth comes out at times about how it was the actual group protesting that instigated police action but by that time, most of the aforementioned weak minded sheep have already made up their minds to hate and despise police for doing their job in the face of physical and verbal abuse perpetuated by said protest group and ignore any ounce of fact, truth or evidence to continue their own agenda and mindset as conspiracy theorists usually do.

FACT - The UK student protests were hijacked by people who attacked police and royal vehicles and defaced and vandalised property for fun including businesses, homes and war memorials before claiming the police were too heavy handed and violent for no reason

FACT - The UK riots had nothing to do with a career criminal being shot by police in a shootout and had more to do with young criminals deciding to run riot smashing property and stealing from businesses and homes while also assaulting and even killing those who tried to stand up to them, again, blaming police when they had to make on the spot arrests

FACT - The OWS people ignored pleas not to block the Brooklyn Bridge or roads in the area and decided to do just that to gain notoriety and instigate police into making arrests and forcing them away from those areas to allow commuters, people going home and tourists from traveling before then claiming that police were the ones who started the trouble and violence.

Just three of many many examples. If people on ATS would take their heads from their backsides, open their eyes and actually pay attention to what's REALLY happening in these protests then they might actually learn something instead of taking in one sided coverage by those involved in the groups themselves as fact.

FACT: you are making your very partial assumptions into looking like FACTS. And in itself, it is a way of lying. A fact is an element of objective reality, not the use of faint evidence to express a one-sided view.

This proves the FACT that you're a LIAR. Moreover, you are insulting people's intelligence on this forum.

The Royal vehicle was not attacked, it was only merely kicked by a kid in a protest. Where does the Royal vehicle has some superior value than any other in the UK is beyond me. Oh the Terror!

The student protesters did not riot out of "fun", but out of rage. Rage against the despotic order of high criminals that Britain is.

The answer is because that many many people and groups are attempting to hijack the movement, thus far unsuccessfully. once they succeed, if they succeed, the hijacking that is, you will see the hate diminish rapidly.

it is all a partisan ploy to pit us against each other and get us to ignore the truth. I am an American and I am tired of my country being raped by corporate interests. I am tired of MY government being run by corporations and banks instead of by THE PEOPLE, ya know like in the constitution.
