I dont believe one word of what zcheng is spewing here. 320 soldiers in three days is a roughly a COMPANY of soldiers. We couldnt support those size losses for any length of time. Thats basically 3200 soldiers plus a ton of armor each month. Its more than the entire Vietnam wars death rate(around 32K right?). We would certainly hear more about this is western media, French media if nothing else.

I have relatives in the Army and have served as a soldier myself. Everyone I know (Army and Marines) tells me we are wiping the floor with these scumbag Arab fighters. We are only withdrawing to prevent more widespread civilian casualties / rest the troops.

What about the following report from:
www.turkishpress.com...

The number of US soldiers passing through Shannon is expected to exceed last year's total of 125,000 before the end of this month.

While nto conclusive, the figures give some indication of the scale of the continuing US involvement in Iraq.

A spokeswoman for Shannon Airport Authority told AFP that in the nine months to September, 112,803 soldiers on 1,114 flights had passed through the airport.

Most of the flights were going to, or coming from, Iraq or nearby Gulf military installations, with a few also headed to Germany or elsewhere.

This compares to 96,403 soldiers on 1,239 flights from January to December last year -- a period that included the March 2003 invasion of Iraq by US, British and other forces.

Both military and civilian aircraft carrying soldiers are using the airport, and the number of troops on board has been rising in recent months.

The highest monthly figure went through in September, with 22,525 troops stopping off on 150 flights. This followed 14,830 who went through in August and 11,932 in July.

Are they for rotation, replacement, or lots of wounded and killed?

Why need so many soldiers now, if Iraq war is going so well as Bush/Cheney are trying to paint?

Resistance pushes puppet forces out of al-Qaim on the Syrian Border.
Fighting rages in the city as Resistance forces drive towards area of Hit to link up with forces there and open new fronts.

Iraqi Resistance forces on Wednesday expelled the puppet police and puppet so-called Iraqi national guard from the al-Ubaydi area 30km east of al-Qaim, and also from the cemetery in the ar-Rabtah area. The Resistance drove the Iraqi puppet police out of their police station headquarters in the city of al-Qaim itself and from the al-Karabilah puppet police station 2km east of the city.

By those acts, the Resistance has seized basic control of the city of al-Qaim and the police districts under its jurisdiction, in a clear escalation of the Resistance efforts in the area. In his dispatch posted at 6:25pm Mecca time (7:25pm local time) the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent wrote that Resistance forces were moving towards the areas of Anah and Rawa in order to open more fronts in their struggle against the US occupation.

Also I have to point out that the islam memo where zcheng gets much of his information from does offer many different things going on in the news that you don't read about form US papers. You can find this to be true with any foreign paper as with the Jerusalem post.

I do not read arabic so I must translate everything which is fine just takes longer. Many of what zcheng says is repeated over and over however you can be sure of this people that you will see a better scope fo the war if yuo go to foreign papers. Sorry to say but our media is controlled like the Russians but instead of government owership it's Republican party kickbacks that control the scene. You can thank your republican senators for the censorship. I love it when they say they hate big government. Really they should say, "I hate it when I don't have control over everything."

why not tally your total since starting your "reports". I have close friends in Iraq right now that spend 99% of their time in the Green Zone doing nothing - bored out of their minds. What our media is telling us and what my friends are telling me are two completely different stories. What your "reports" are telling is very similar to the laughable quotes from the former Iraqi Information Minister, al-Sahhaf...

March 22nd
"We counted 19 missiles that landed in a small area of Baghdad."
(Coalition forces claimed that over 300 missiles and bombs hit Baghdad that night)

March 24th
"A small number of peasants - brave peasants - shot down two Apaches"

March 26th
"Americans are now in disarray"

March 27th
"They will try to enter Baghdad, and I think this is where their graveyard will be"
"Their objective is to get to the outskirts of Baghdad. So be it"
"We will see how the issue will turn out when they come to Baghdad."

March 28th
"Iraq will spread them even more and chop them up."

March 29th
"Until now they have refused to do battle with us. They are just going places."

"The Cruise missiles do not frighten anyone. We are catching them like fish in a river."

"...over the past two days, we managed to shoot down 196 missiles before they hit their target."

March 30th
"The Iraqi troops and the Iraqi fighters are in control of all the places, as we have witnessed,
No big change in that. We are fighting against them."

April 2nd
"They've not been able to control any Iraqi city. We're waging war against this snake and we will be victorious."
"They are going to surrender or be burned in their tanks. They will surrender, it is they who will surrender."

April 5th
"The force that was in the airport, this force was destroyed."

April 6th
"Their casualties and bodies are many. Their equipment and vehicles, several were destroyed,"

April 7th
"There is no presence of the American columns in the city of Baghdad at all. We besieged them and we killed most of them."
(With American tanks occupying the Baghdad parade ground, he stood calmly a couple of hundred yards away, on the roof of the Palestine Hotel, to tell reporters that none of this was really happening.)

I think we've found Baghdad Bob's new occupation

He is right. US is now in a quagmire and unable to escape.

Do you trust Centcom with No US troops die from hostility in the past 5 days? Although it is admitted to have about 80 attacks a day.

Above information is for those that doubts Centcom truthfully disclosed the loss of US occupation. If you prefer to read Centcom report, there is no need for you see these reports.

zcheng you are reading stories that are duplicated. Yes we are being bled and no, U.S. casualty figures are not accurate. You have two goals in this thread zcheng:

Inform readers of the 'real' situation as deemed through your eyes, and

your cultural chinese propaganda of lowering morale.

You are on the wrong forum to attempt winning hearts and minds. As Americans we don't give a rats arse about figures. I can tell you all day long that there are 10,000 bodies out side stacked up like cordwood - what the hell does that mean? It's not like anyone can believe it and even if they did the only people who have a clue to the fighting is the ones over there anyway.

This ain't 60's vietnam with peace, love, and long haired youths running around humping and dropping acid (forgive the pun). This is the millenium baby and the Yankees are not going to the world series.

We still have an overwhelming support of President Bush in our country that should tell you where our hearts and minds are. Go ahead and paste, but man you sure are wasting alot of your time.

You will know yourself better, when you have a mirror. So is for the true reality in Iraq.

With so much trust and support on Bush, you certainly should not waste time on this thread. If you prefer to live in your dream, no one will prevent you. Just think all the above reports are created from vacuum by Hollywood Genius in Iraq, and have a good laugh.

It is not heart mind of US people I need to win. I only wish more US people will know the great peril that those US troops face everyday, and they are dying everyday for the lies engineered by Cheney/Bush and the mass media in US.

I never said I support President Bush or his administration. What I did point out is that you don't understand what makes Americans tick. For as many soldiers that fear going to Iraq there are just as many or more that want to fight and do not shirk at a fight. This has nothing to do with Iraq or Cheney oil. It has to do with American balls.

Our boys like to fight. You give em a war and we will kick arse. Thats the whole problem don't give our boys a war unless you want alot of body bags. The motto is not 'lets have peace and security,' it's 'lets break things and kill.'

Please don't use "we" when you say something totally disgusting like not giving a rat's arse about figures. Those figures, my war mongering friend are people. Dead People. No we don't still have an overwhelming support of Bush, FYI alot of us think he's a lying chicken hawk. You can't speak for right about 50% of this country at the moment if the polls are any account, and you sure don't speak for me. Zcheng is posting this stuff, I say let the man speak. Hell our own government won't even let us show photographs of coffins to prevent an unfavorable opinion of the war. I think its great you guys are getting a real good taste of the other side of the story. If you really want to see what we are doing over there, do you a google image search of "iraqi children" or "depleted Uranium+fetuses". Regardless of what happenes there we are going to be killing these people for a long long time. Depleted Uranium has a half life you know, a damned long one. You support the war, read your body counts and keep waving that flag. When they come get your kids to fight in it, maybe you can read about them in a future zcheng post eh?

I understand that twitchy so don't get twitchy. I do not support the Bush administrations policy to go to war in Iraq as I know it was for power, oil, and prestige and it created more terrorists than in Afghanistan over twenty years ago. When I say, 'we,' that means this country - the USA as a whole. And yes sorry to inform you much of the population does not give a rats arse about figures. If we did there would be an overwhelming support to oust Bush but as you notice he still has 50% of the vote which proves Americans are more concerned about the economy and really don't give a crap who we waste in the world just as long as you don't F with us.

With the overwhelming evidence against the administration. Their lies and ties, no one should support Bush, but 50% still do. Why? Were deluded with commercial ads, school, work, business, video games, holidays, birthdays, and busy busy lives. The people who really care are the moms and dads who have kids over there. Some support Bush others don't but they are the ones who really care, but they make a small percentage of the population less than .02%.

I am only going to say this because I saw someone say the US Vietnam losses were 32,000. To justify thier statement Iraq loss rates exceeded that. I don't know if he was trying to include wounded. Its 1100 dead for anybody wanting facts.

I have not seen any others because other people are trying to generate enough facts on both sides to bury Mt Everest, and even I don't have the time to read it all.

Us dead in Vietnam were 50,000 approximately. Enjoy doing your maths and statistical excercises folks.

Heres another one .approx 400,000 US personnel died in WW2.

Make what you want of it.

Actually in Vietnam those are just deaths. X2 for casualties. It's disrespectful having a death toll without the casualty toll as many young boys who came back to the world were dead or maimed for life.
