zcheng,
How in the world are we supposed to take your figures as anything near accurate if you do not provide source materials.

Can you do a total on the above reports of Nov 13 and Nov 14?

The statistics are based on the reports from your "enemy" Iraqi Resistance.

There is no problem for you to treat them as pure propaganda or fantasy, and take whatever Faux and CNN tell you as 100% truth.

Ok, so what's the total US soldiers reported dead from those reports? It has to be a crapload higher than the US tally.

223 dead.. with 10,000 US attacking and taking over a city of 225,000.

5x more than pay-per-news networks like cnn are reporting...

doesn't seem beyond the realms of possibilty. how many terrorists killed is the next question.

Islamic sources say no more than 200, other sources say 1600...

According icasualties.org/oif, at least 44 US troops are killed in Fallujah or Ann Arbar province. They are:

LOL, I can't stop laughing at this.

I especailly like in the last report that the resistance had shot down 2 F-16's ( with what I don't know
), 12 CIA men and 7 Mossad men. This is so ridiculous I almost can't laugh.

Interesting how zcheng belives all this, and still belives that his government is truthful and transparent in China.

I wonder why the US is not keeping a tag on the casualties of "war" in iraq, when it comes to the civilian population.

And also with so many "Insurgents" death in Fallujah I wonder if the US is planing dig mass graves to bury all of them after all been "insurgents" there is not need to tag and identify them.

The irony of it is sick. I remember that sadam did mass graves also.

Bejing Bob sorry I mean Zcheng,

Where oh where do you get your material. If we really censored you or worked for the U.S. Government why would we allow you to post so much in this thread. 15 pages long with 200+ posts eh?

Once again we find your unique point of view a challange

That is exactly why US mass is still considering US a democrazy. The controlled media embedds lies and propaganda with a few truth.

ATS declares "Deny Ignorance" , but you seems to be wanting everyone peddling the lines from CNN, Faux.

What is going on with this thread I am missing something, people the thread tittle is "enemy" account of Iraqi war.

So the sources will always be challenged by anybody here, so what is the big deal.

Can anybody here really go and do a head count of casualties? US is not even keeping tags on the "civilian" casualties for god sake.

I guess the casualties of war in the civilian population side are not important.

Our troops casualties can not be hide, and I know that for a fact.

But civilian deaths can be and so the insurgents casualties too.

Well it seem to me after reading the thread, that these claims by the ' enemy' are so outlandish that they are ridiculous. The casulties for the US are high but losing like 100 troops a day is fallacy. There wouldn't be anyone left by now.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighters in Amiriyat al-Fallujah shoot down two US helicopters.

In a dispatch posted at 9:20pm Monday Mecca time, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported that Resistance forces had shot down two US Apache helicopters over Amiriyat al-Fallujah in the last couple days.

The first of the two choppers was downed on Sunday, 14 November, the second was shot down around sunset today, Monday. The correspondent noted that the Resistance brought both down with C5K rockets.

Mafkarat al-Islam apologized for the delay in reporting the downings but noted that the the whole of al-Anbar province was ablaze and it was difficult to travel and to follow events closely.

Amiriyah al-Fallujah - a town to the south of al-Fallujah - appears to have acquired some special skill in shooting down American helicopters. Several days ago they brought down a helicopter that was carrying some 60 US troops.

Fighting rages for hours as Resistance attacks US positions northeast of al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Fallujah attacked US troops located in the agricultural area northeast of the city in an attempt to break up their camp. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the Iraqi Resistance struck the most important US position northeast of the agricultural area. Fighting spread to al-Jarmah northeast of the city and continued for more than four hours.

US columns have moved up to the area where fighting has been underway in the agricultural area and the area of the city cemetery. The battle zone has stretched over 35 to 40km.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired Grad rockets on the headquarters of the puppet so-called national guard in al-Jarmah, destroying an American force that was there.

US Apache and Black Hawk helicopters attacked northern al-Jarmah in an attempt to retrieve their dead and wounded.

Calm prevails in the city. US snipers on buildings along main roads. Resistance moves freely in neighborhoods.

In a dispatch posted at 4:17pm Mecca time Monday, the al-Fallujah correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a noticeable quiet has descended over al-Fallujah, broken only by intermittent fire by one of the American snipers scattered on rooftops in places in the city. The calm prevails both in the city center and on the outskirts.

US snipers are deployed on the main streets of the city in six or seven positions along ath-Tharthar Street, the main street leading to ar-Ramadi (ar-Ramadi Road), and buildings overlooking the Euphrates to the west of the city.

Dozens of US snipers deployed on the main thoroughfares prevent the people in their areas from moving about normally and obtaining drinking water and food, though the citys residents move freely in the narrow side streets.

The grip of the snipers themselves has also loosened to the extent that people sometimes can even manage to sprint across the main streets.

Decomposing bodies still lie on some streets where the people cannot get to them to bury them. Some people have buried relatives in their homes for fear of risking snipers on the way to cemeteries.

The Iraqi Resistance has changed its positions within the city, distributing different districts to different militant organizations, allowing the groups to reinforce one another whenever fighting becomes fierce. The Resistance fighters move about easily within their own areas.

Resistance sharpshooters attempted to eliminate the American snipers by taking up positions on other high buildings to pick them off, but US Apache helicopters would unleash intense gunfire upon them whenever they made such attempts.

Nineteen Americans killed when Resistance blows up building over their heads.

Sources in the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of al-Fallujah told Quds Press on Monday that Iraqi Resistance forces blew up a building in al-Fallujah as American forces were entering it on Monday morning, killing 19 US troops.

The building in the al-Bazarah neighborhood opposite the al-Wuthbah Secondary School in the city was blown up using a large amount of TNT as the US troops were entering it. The US forces brought in bulldozers to dig out the remains of their dead. Many US troops who were still outside the building when it exploded were wounded.

On Sunday the US military admitted that the Resistance in al-Fallujah had detonated a building killing three and wounding 13 other American troops. Resistance sources told Quds Press that the real number was 60 dead and 40 wounded in that blast. The building that blew up was the office of the Governor of al-Fallujah and more than 500kg of high explosive TNT was used to demolish that large structure over the Americans.

Al-Fallujah doctors issue appeal.

Al-Fallujahs doctors issued an appeal for assistance on Monday, noting the extent of the criminal activity of the US forces that had no qualms about blowing up hospitals and clinics with patients and doctors inside.

The doctors denounced US-appointed puppet prime minister Iyyad Allawi and his so-called health minister Ala ad-Din al-Alwan. They noted that US forces attacked al-Fallujah General Hospital in the first hours of their attack and arrested doctors, nurses, and medical professionals. These people were beaten and humiliated on the grounds that they were terrorists.

The doctors in their statement said that the puppet so-called Iraqi national guard who accompanied the Americans, drove nurses out of the delivery room as an Iraqi woman was giving birth, leaving the baby still attached to the mother.

After that US troops bombarded the substituted hospitals that had been set up inside the city, and the blood of doctors and that of patients mixed under the ruins. After the bombardment, if they found anyone still alive in the rubble, they crushed him with their tanks.

The doctors statement noted that US snipers killed more than 17 Iraqi doctors who had rushed to respond to an earlier appeal for help from al-Fallujahs medical personnel that went out over al-Jazeera satellite TV.

The doctorss statement also pointed out that US forces prevented aid teams from getting into al-Fallujah, terrorizing and repressing the Iraqi Red Crescent teams and humanitarian and Islamic volunteers.

The doctors in al-Fallujah denounced the puppet so-called health minister saying that he had threatened to cut off the salarie, take away their licenses, and imprison them if any of them talked about the outrages committed by the US and puppet forces in al-Fallujah.

The doctors concluded their statement calling on all doctors to condemn these barbaric acts and to take the initiative to save all the people of al-Fallujah who can be saved. They also insisted on the need to expel those who cooperate with the occupation, including the so-called minister of health, from the Iraqi Federation of Physicians.

Resistance commander scoffs at claims US controls al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance commander Abu Muhammad, who leads fighters in the north of al-Fallujah scoffed at pictures broadcast by some television companies showing US soldiers resting on beds in al-Fallujah. Abu Muhammad observed that the Resistance was still looking for where those beds were so they could set them afire.

Abu Muhammad said that the occupation forces were good at forging photos. He said that images of US troops strolling about streets of al-Fallujah looked like images from the storming of any Iraqi city. Although he had not himself seen the images, he said that those who had seen them maintained that no houses recognizable as being in al-Fallujah showed up in them. As to the claims that the US forces were in the city, Abu Muhammad said that they might have taken pictures on the day they did enter the city - 26 Ramadan/ 9 November, but since then the situation had totally changed. Abu Muhammad offered the explanation that some of the pictures could be of places of no strategic importance that the Americans occupied.

Abu Muhammad told Mafkarat al-Islam that unbiased observers had acknowledged that the city had never been in the hands of the US occupation and that the war in al-Fallujah was still on.

Two Mafkarat al-Islam correspondents martyred in American bloodbath on Hayfa Street.

Iraqi Resistance forces battled US aggressor troops on Hayfa Street and Vanguards Square Sahat at-Talai in Baghdads al-Karakh district at 2:30pm Monday afternoon. The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance destroyed two Bradley armored vehicles and killed three US snipers as well as 11 other foot soldiers.

The Resistance also shot down two airplanes and destroyed two vehicles with BKC automatic rifles. They also disabled a Black Hawk Helicopter which began to emit smoke as it headed off for the al-Muthanna airstrip.

Altogether, US losses in the battle totaled 22. Three Resistance fighters were killed and three others wounded.

In reply to the attacks, American troops opened fire indiscriminately in the area, killing 15 individuals including two correspondents for Mafkarat al-Islam - Mahmud al-Jabburi, 25 years old; and Hasan Lamhadani, 33.

US gunfire cut down Hasan first, and then as Mahmud tried to rescue him, American sniper fire struck him in his neck, killing him instantly. The wounded Hasan tried to approach Mahmuds body but American snipers opened fire again, blowing up his head.

The bodies of the 15 dead Iraqis, including the two correspondents of Mafkarat al-Islam lay in the street until sunset, as the American snipers prevented anyone from approaching them. Just about six weeks ago two other Mafkarat al-Islam correspondents were martyred in the same location.

Baqubah.

Bahraz still in control of Iraqi Resistance.

Iraqi Resistance sources in Baqubah denied that the town of Bahraz had fallen into the hands of the puppet so-called Iraqi national guard, saying rather that two headquarters of the national guard in Baqubah had been destroyed recently.

Furthermore, Bahraz is not a strategic location that the Resistance is intent to keep under its control. The control of the Resistance in that area is merely a demonstration of the power of the Resistance and its ability to hold on to whatever towns and cities it wants to retain.

Bombardments across Iraq on Monday.

At 6am Monday morning Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight 82mm mortar rounds into the US al-Muthanna airbase in Baghdad.

Message from inside al-Fallujah.

The following message was posted on the albasrah.net website on Tuesday night.

11PM, 16 November 2004.

Peace be on you and the mercy of God and His blessings!

We wish to inform you that a group of civilians are now located in a factory and are in very difficult straits. The Americans came to them on Sunday and gave them a little dry food. Those civilians asked them to turn the electricity back on. But the US troops took the electronic cards from the Yugoslavian-made electric power generator that powered the factory. They asked the Americans to allow them to transport the sick to the Jordanian Hospital, but the officer said that in an emergency the sick could walk. After that the besieged civilians only saw a few guards. Until today they have not been given permission to transport the sick. The civilians did take a car with wounded to the ash-Shihabi area behind the factory, but were met there by gunfire.

What is happening in al-Fallujah is a war of revenge against the civilians and it is more intense than what you are hearing on the news. The Americans are now only present in the western neighborhoods that they entered on the first days of the fighting. They did not get into the al-Jawlan, an-Nazal, or ash-Shuhada neighborhoods, or the industrial zone. They have blown up or bombarded with shells every mosque they got their hands on. They have done the same with every building and with apartment blocks. The civilian victims account for more than 90 percent of the total casualties, and they have been buried in mass graves. The American losses and the losses of the so-called national guard are many times what they declare. For this reason, they do not allow the news media to enter the city. The national guard has begun to rob houses, taking everything they can carry, and loading it on cars to haul it out of the city. May God suffice for us, for He is the best patron.

Our morale, God be praised, is very high. We have made them taste death in every lane and byway. They only control the main street and the neighborhood near the hospital near the entrance to the city on the road to ar-Ramadi.

We have a new battle plan that we are preparing. It has been presented to the commands of all the mujahideen.

God is greatest! Victory to the Mujahideen!

Statement from the Iraqi Baath Party on the Battle of al-Fallujah.

The Department for Political information and publication of the Iraqi branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party issued a statement on Tuesday in which it said that the current Anglo-British offensive against al-Fallujah is a premeditated criminal act of revenge against the heroic al-Fallujah in which the official Arab regimes and the Arab news media owned by the wardens of the oil fields of the occupation forces are taking part in accordance with a distribution of roles that have been imposed or agreed upon beforehand.

Nevertheless, the heroic battle at al-Fallujah, the Baath Party said, would be an example to be followed in Iraq, first, and then in Palestine.

The Baath statement said that the Battle of al-Fallujah in which the fighters of the Baath Party were taking part in fighting formations of the Forces of Resistance and Liberation, and under the slogans of Resistance and jihad, and in which the military expertise of the Army of Iraq and the courageous Republican Guard were being used, is a continuous and on-going battle, one that is not isolated.

The US and the puppet regime in Baghdad hoped in vain to get political mileage out of al-Fallujah in the up-coming meeting of regional regimes with the United States in Sharm ash-Shaykh next week. But the continuous and comprehensive battle will lead instead to the exhaustion of the aggressor and the downfall of the puppet regime. It exposes the strategic disability of the occupation and will eventually be reflected inside the US on the question of the mobilization of forces.

The battle will compel the US to make difficult and harsh demands on Arab regimes, the Baath Party statement predicted, for the future of the political game it is playing in Iraq depends on the security of its puppet regime, and that regime has no security.

Just as the assault on al-Fallujah is a crime, so the Resistance to it has national and human legitimacy that demands that the Resistance proceed untrammeled and without restriction until the occupation has been routed and the puppet authority destroyed, the statement said.

Resistance holds 60 percent of al-Fallujah as Resistance organizations seek different routes to carry on the struggle.

A leader of one of the Resistance organizations in al-Fallujah confirmed to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city that many of the Resistance organizations in the city have resolved to disappear from view in order to wage a war of attrition against the US forces inside and outside the city.

The Iraqi Resistance leader described to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent the tragic situation in the demolished city which has become unbearable due to the large number of dead Iraqi civilians in the streets whose bodies are being eaten by dogs.

He said that bodies of children shot dead by American snipers yesterday or the day before as they tried to cross the street, were also being devoured by the dogs. Neither the families nor the Resistance fighters are able to retrieve the remains of their mangled bodies because of the American snipers are still perched atop high buildings.

The commander described whole buildings that were totally burned with everyone inside.

All such things, he said, have compelled some of the Resistance organizations to incline to taking up the method of war of attrition.

The commander said that this decision was not unanimous among the Resistance organizations, some of which have opted to reduce the pressure they exert from within the heart of al-Fallujah, in view of the determination of the American forces to destroy the city and commit a wholesale slaughter of the inhabitants. Other Resistance organizations have resolved to continue fighting at the same pace as before.

The Resistance commander noted the contrast between the determination of the American forces to kill children, women, doctors, nurses, and civilians and the silence of the whole world in the face of such atrocities. No pressure has been brought to bear to save the civilians suspended in the city despite the unparalleled success that the Resistance has had in waging a street war against the invaders.

Some of the Resistance organizations in al-Fallujah have chosen what has been called the option of our brothers in Samarra who sought to reduce the pressure on their main support - after God - that is, the civilian population, by withdrawing to the suburbs of the city where the ferocity of their Resistance operations produced the first instance of mutiny and rejection of orders within the ranks of the American troops in Iraq.

The Commander repeated that this was not a unanimous decision, however, and he noted that there were many Resistance organizations, that I dont know anything about, as he put it.

The commander concluded by saying with a confident smile, Iraq will see what we are bringing about with our own hands . . . the victory of all of Iraq; an intifada that has grown too big to control.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that there is a leadership of major Mujahid organizations in al-Fallujah that is still pursuing the fight as before. One of them is the group of Shaykh Abdallah al-Janabi, the Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of al-Fallujah. According to Quds Press, Shaykh al-Janabi spoke today to a gathering of Resistance fighters defending the city, saying the Mujahideen control firmly and completely 60 percent of the territory of al-Fallujah. The rest of the city is a battle zone where fighting is going on in fits and starts between the American aggressor forces and the Resistance that is defending al-Fallujah.

Shaykh al-Janabi said that al-Fallujah Resistance fighters had used a captured American tank in their assault on US military positions and the operation accomplished its goals completely. He said that the Iraqi flag had been raise in official ceremonies over 12 positions regarded as battle zones.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah commented that these positions of the different Resistance organizations in the city were not in fact contradictory or mutually exclusive. Past experience has shown, he wrote, that every Resistance group helps out the others despite their differences as to their ultimate aims. A proof of that can be seen in the meeting held last Tuesday that took place under a unified leadership.

The source of differences among the al-Fallujah Resistance organizations is the issue of the unarmed civilian population and what to do regarding them. Some organizations believe the best course is to continue to resist, particularly since other fronts of struggle against the US forces have now been opened elsewhere. But other groups believe that the civilians cannot bear the pressure of the siege any longer.

Another source of difference of opinion among the Resistance groups is that some believe it is necessary to open another big front to confront the aggressors on their rear lines, while other Resistance organizations fear that this could result in the complete fall of the city. Despite these differences of opinion, the coordination of the Resistance groups remains strong.

Quds Press reported on Tuesday that extremely fierce fighting was underway on Tuesday on the edges of the al-Jawlan neighborhood of al-Fallujah. Powerful explosions shook the area and could be heard throughout the city, though their exact cause was difficult to determine. Since early Tuesday morning US military aircraft prowled the skies over the city, strafing and rocketing what they regard as targets in numerous neighborhoods throughout the city. US snipers are deployed on the roofs of many tall buildings that over look the city, and they fire on anything that moves in the streets below.

Resistance pounds US Marines outside al-Fallujah with rocket barrages.

Iraqi Resistance forces carried out an intense rocket attack on concentrations of US Marines to the north, west, and south of al-Fallujah. The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that more than 31 powerful Tariq and Grad rockets were fired at the American troop concentrations in three areas outside the city.

The correspondent wrote that the rockets fired into the American Marines to the north of the city were launched from a branch of the Tigris River. The rockets that struck the US troop concentrations to the west and south of the city were launched from the direction of al-Amiriyah and some from mobile launchers mounted on vehicles.

Resistance field commander saw American troops use women and children as human shields atop their tanks.

A field commander in the Iraqi Resistance disclosed to a correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Fallujah what he called the tragedy of the street fighting by which he meant the way that the invading American troops were using Iraqi women and children as human shields.

The commander said that the tragedy began last Tuesday. Before that he had never seen it before, where the Americans were using women and children to shield their tanks. The commander commented: this state is living through a type of savagery that history has never known before.

The Resistance field commander said we could hear the cries of the children and the womens calls for help from atop a column of tanks that was driving along ath-Tharthar street last Tuesday. Some of our fighters closed their eyes in pain and wept at the sight.

Resistance denies claims by Allawi to have arrested a Resistance commander: The commander is free, and Allawi got his name wrong anyway.

Iraqi Resistance sources meanwhile, denied claims by the US-installed prime-minister Iyyad Allawi that the commander of the Army of Muhammad Resistance organization had been arrested.

According to Quds Press, the Resistance sources confirmed that the commander was free and present, but that he does not have the name cited by Allawi. In fact all the Iraqi Resistance organizations confirmed that they have no members or fighters who have the name cited by Allawi (i.e., Muhammad YaSin Ahmad) as having been arrested. The Resistance warned, however, that if the commander of the organization were captured, they would put the world on edge in order to free him from the US or puppet militia hands.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighting in southern part of al-Fallujah as US bombs city.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25pm Mecca time, the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two hours before he wrote this report violent clashes had broken out between US Marines and the Iraqi Resistance in the southern half of al-Fallujah, the part of the city still entirely controlled by the Resistance, US claims to the contrary.

The intensity of the battles have been escalating on both sides along the outskirts of the ash-Shuhada neighborhood and in the southern part of the industrial zone and the al-Jubayl neighborhood where it is less intense but still very fierce in the west but less fierce in the east as one approaches the industrial zone.

US forces withdrew from their ground attack and carried on the fight with an air bombardment of the southern part of the city. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that the US forces are using cluster bombs and napalm in their bombing, in particular in their attacks on the ash-Shuhada neighborhood. The US bombers, that come in from outside of Iraq, were still engaged in bombing at the time the correspondent wrote his report.

Meanwhile US forces strengthened their presence in the south, doubling its presence in the south of the ash-Shuhada neighborhood. US columns have been driving from the northeast of al-Fallujah towards the US forces concentrated in the south.

The Resistance is still holding its own, however, and repelled the US attempt to advance on the south of al-Fallujah. Resistance forces fired more than 35 rockets, thought to be Grads, at the US forces concentrated northwest of al-Fallujah and at the US concentrations to the south. The rockets were fired from the al-Amiriyah and al-Karmah areas. Resistance forces responded to the US bombardment with a rocket barrage of their own from the heart of the southern half of al-Fallujah, firing 82mm and 60mm mortar rounds as well as Katyusha missiles.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Amiriyah reported that more than 18 US vehicles were on fire there at the time of writing, but he has not been able to obtain further details, other than to say that the vehicles appear to be medium-sized or large armored vehicles.

Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Amiriyah shelled the British forces at point 102 in the al-Musayyib area to the south of al-Amiriyah with 82mm and 60mm mortar rounds.

Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Fallujah completely control the south of the city while there is a US presence in the northern half of the city. Those troops, however behave warily and their presence is unstable since the Resistance has been carrying out numerous sharp shooter and booby trap attacks, killing 27 American troops today, Wednesday. More than 35 Resistance attacks by groups of individual fighters were carried out on Wednesday against the US forces there.

Mafkarat al-Islam commented that it does not know exactly what the current strategy of the Iraqi Resistance in the city is at this time. It appears however that the Resistance will not open street warfare on a large scaled but only on a narrow scale lest there be a repeat of what happened in the north of the city when the Resistance succeeded in destroying a large number of American vehicles in the streets, but allowed the US to deploy snipers along the main roads. They were able to change the balance of the combat by severely inhibiting the movement of the Resistance fighters.

Resistance shoots down two helicopters near al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance fighters firing BKC automatic weapons shot down an American Apache helicopter at dawn on Wednesday in the area of al-Amiriyah south of al-Fallujah as it was hovering at a low altitude to take part in the American military operations underway in the south of al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired a C5K rocket and struck a big Chinook helicopter as it hovered over the Saddamiyat ath-Tharthar area southwest of as-Saqlawiyah, setting it ablaze along with all aboard the craft at 2:45pm Wednesday. The helicopter was carrying a load of US troops wounded in al-Fallujah.

Resistance forces shelled the US forces headquarters east of as-Saqlawiyah on Wednesday with about nine 120mm mortar rounds.

Fighting in al-Fallujah on Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Wednesday evening Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting took place Wednesday morning in the southern neighborhoods of ash-Shuhada, an-Nazal, and al-Jubayl, and the industrial zone. After that the US bombarded the southern part of al-Fallujah for several hours, but this had stopped at the time of reporting.

Iraqi Reistance forces in al-Fallujah still control the southern half of the city, the part located south of the main road. US forces had made some progress in northern al-Fallujah and have a presence there. But their presence is not firm and they are subject to a large number of small-scale ambushes by small bands of three to six Resistance fighters.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city spoke by telephone with his editors at about 5pm Wednesday. He said that more than 35 small ambushes have been carried out by the Resistance in the northern part of the city.

Moderate fighting was still underway on the edges of the al-Jawlan neighborhood. Five powerful rockets exploded in the midst of US troop concentrations in various parts of the city and the sound of the blasts could easily be heard. The correspondent said that the rockets, whatever they were, were not Tariq or Grad rockets.

Meanwhile the southern environs of al-Fallujah were bombarded by nine Grad rockets. Later, during the afternoon, the Resistance fired seven more Grad rockets into US forces in that area.

Washington Post quotes Resistance leader.

In its Wednesday, 17 November 2004, issue the American Washington Post newspaper carried remarks of Shaykh Abdallah al-Janabi the Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of al-Fallujah, an 18-member council of religious leaders, tribal chiefs and Baath Party members.

Speaking in an undamaged house in the an-Nazal neighborhood of al-Fallujah on Monday, al-Janabi was protected by several bodyguards and wore an explosive vest, the wires that would detonate it dangling a few inches apart. A bodyguard said the religious leader preferred martyrdom to dying on his bed like a camel, according to the American newspapers report.
The Washington Post quoted al-Janabi as saying: The Americans have opened the gates of hell, the Battle of al-Fallujah is the beginning of other battles. He noted that, We still have our strength, our force and ammunition, and the battle is long, very long. And we will turn Iraq into one big Fallujah.
It is only the beginning, from a military point of view, said al-Janabi. We have succeeded in drawing them into the quagmire of al-Fallujah, into the alleys and small pathways. They have fallen into the trap of explosive charges, land mines and, now, the defenders short supply lines inside the neighborhoods.
The cause will not die if the individuals die, al-Janabi said. It will survive until the last Iraqi holy warrior dies or runs out of bullets. He added, If the military leaders agree on another area where we will inflict more losses on them, then we will.
Al-Janabi mocked the statement of Qasim Dawud, a senior Iraqi puppet official who on Saturday told reporters that al-Janabi and another Resistance, Umar Hadid, were cowards who had fled the city before the offensive. The Washington Post described Hadid as a ranking figure in the group now known as al-Qaidah in Iraq, which it said is headed by the Jordanian militant Abu Musab az-Zarqawi, whom the US government frequently blamed for virtually all the Resistance activity in the country.
I am here, al-Janabi said. You can see me. And if you wait for a while, you can see Umar Hadid. He is still in the city, he said according to the Washington Post report.
Resistance group in al-Fallujah pledges to execute American prisoners.

In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Mecca time Wednesday Mafkarat al-Islam posted a communiqu issued by the command of the Army of Muhammad in which the organization pledged to kill what it called the pharaohs of Iraq of the likes of US installed puppet prime-minister Iyyad Allawi, Qasim Dawud, Salah an-Naqib, and Hazim ash-Shalan and pledging also to kill American prisoners.

The Army of Muhammad pledged in its communiqu to pursue the US military everywhere in Iraq and to take their operations into the heart of Baghdad after al-Fallujah, a battle that had pulled off masks that had not been expected.

The communiqu said that al-Fallujah was the first real battle in Iraq and that the number of fighters was growing - where there had been ten there were now a hundred, where there were a hundred there are now a thousand.

The communiqu said that the organization would be publicly slitting the throats of the American troops it holds captive.

Earlier the Army of Muhammad organization had issued statements quoted by satellite TV networks, saying that it had captured a number of US prisoners. Mafkarat al-Islam has also reported that the Resistance in al-Fallujah is holding a number of US and British prisoners. A film of 36 American prisoners was turned over to al-Jazeera and al-Arabiyah satellite TV companies, but they refused to broadcast it. The US has so far refused to acknowledge that the Resistance in al-Fallujah holds Americans prisoner.

Report on Wednesday in al-Fallujah from albasrah.net.

A report published on the albasrah.net website reported on Wednesday that grueling battles were continuing in the north and south of al-Fallujah. US bombing of the city was concentrated on the south and on the northern edges of al-Fallujah. American AC-130 airplanes were taking part in the bombing. On the ground American sappers were blowing up houses that they claimed were used as weapons storehouses.

Quds Press was quoted as reporting fighting on the edges of the al-Jawlan neighborhood in the north of the city, which the Resistance totally recaptured on 15 November, contrary to American claims. US forces meanwhile were trying to break open a path for their tanks so thy can storm the city through the ash-Shuhada and al-Jubayl neighborhoods.

The sources say that the battles now under way in al-Fallujah are the fiercest ever seen.

Americans use chemical weapons in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Mecca time, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that US troops got residents of the as-Saqlawiyah area on Monday and Tuesday to collect bodies of civilians killed on the outskirts of the al-Jawlan neighborhood in al-Fallujahs northwest and to take them to as-Saqlawiyah for burial. The US troops insisted on going along with the as-Saqlawiyah residents from the moment they left their town and all along the route as they loaded and transported the bodies back for interment in as-Saqlawiyah. US troops also searched all the residents who were to go to transport the bodies, for fear lest any one of them have cameras with which to record the crimes of the American troops.

The correspondent reported that the as-Saqlawiyah residents transported 20 bodies on Monday, among them two women and two children. On Tuesday they transported 14 bodies. The correspondent noted that all those who had died were killed by some sort of chemical gas since their bodies were bloated, as if inflated from all sides, and yellow but without odor - except for a few that the witness said gave off a pleasant smell as is expected of the bodies of martyrs.

The as-Saqlawiyah residents to took part in the hauling of the bodies asked the Americans to be allowed to go into the al-Jawlan neighborhood but the American commander said through an Iraqi translator that although they were in complete control of the area where they then were on the outskirts of al-Jawlan, that was not the case inside, and the Americans could not let the residents go into the neighborhood un-escorted, but the Americans dared not go into the neighborhood with them either.

On Wednesday a group of as-Saqlawiyah residents went on another trip to collect the bodies of those killed by chemical weapons on the northern side of al-Fallujah. A woman refugee who was coming from the western side of the al-Jawlan neighborhood said that she saw the US troops putting bodies in black bags and throwing them in the Euphrates River but she was unable to see whose bodies they were.

The Iraqi Resistance inflicted heavy losses on the US forces in al-Fallujah prompting the Americans to employ chemical weapons for the first time since the fall of Baghdad. The US forces used chemical weapons in the al-Jawlan, ash-Shuhada, and al-Jubayl neighborhoods. The last time they used chemical weapons was last night in al-Jubayl neighborhood.

Mafkarat al-Islam stated that it hesitated to publish these reports, which it could have begun doing two days ago, for fear that they might provoke the Americans to prohibit efforts to clear away the bodies of the martyrs for burial, leaving them instead to become food for dogs, other predators, and vermin. The editorial board believed, however, that the issue of publishing this report had good and bad sides. The bad side of publishing the story being that it might halt the efforts to bury the martyrs. But the good side was that it would show up the enormity of US barbarism in al-Fallujah, and that, in turn could be buried if the story were never published. Therefore Mafkarat al-Islams editorial board decided to publish the story so that it could be recorded and so that history could bear witness to the crimes of the American forces.

Doctor charges US used chemical weapons in al-Fallujah.

An Iraqi doctor accused the US forces in al-Fallujah of using chemical weapons against the city. Speaking on the radio program Panorama FM at midday Wednesday, the doctor said that he had examined two bodies of Iraqis killed by the Americans using internationally prohibited chemical weapons. Mafkarat al-Islam reported the doctor as saying that the bodies had no gunshot or shrapnel wounds, nor any sign of blunt force trauma.

Mafkarat al-Islam had earlier reported on the Americans use of chemical agents in al-Fallujah on 11 November, but at that time the extent of the damaged they caused was diminished by a rainstorm.

Resistance ambush in al-Karmah.

Iraqi Resistance mines exploded in the path of a US column heading from al-Karmah to al-Fallujah, destroying two Humvees, a fuel tank truck, and a troop carrier. After secondary explosions, the Americans started shooting indiscriminately around the area, preventing the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent from ascertaining the extent and nature of US casualties.

Buildings mined by the Resistance blow up with American troops inside.

Prior to their occupation by US aggressor troops, Iraqi Resistance forces picked out a number of buildings that were likely to be occupied by the Americans and hid bombs inside rooms. In one case 20 US troops walked into such a trap and the room was blown up with them inside. Not one of them came out unhurt.

In another case, seven US troops attacked a house in the al-Jawlan neighborhood where the Resistance had mined the water tank. According to the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of al-Fallujah, the Resistance detonated the bomb as the Americans were nearby and killed all of them.

Iraqi prisoner eyewitness tells of treatment meted out to Resistance fighters in American captivity.

An eyewitness who was just released from one of the US prisons in Iraq told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent on Wednesday how the Americans find out which of their prisoners is a member of the Iraqi Resistance. He also drew attention to the role played by Iraqi translators serving the occupation troops.

The eyewitness told Mafkarat al-Islam that the US occupation troops rub a handkerchief soaked in some chemical on the palm of a detainee. If the palm of the detainees hand festers, that is a proof that he has been using fire arms, which is presumed to mean that he has been fighting the Americans. The American jailers then execute him or transfer him somewhere else.

The witness said that the Iraqi translators working for the Americans chat with the prisoners and find out who are fraternal Arab fighters and point them out to the Americans. The witness said that the translators are even more brutal than the occupation troops themselves.

He told of a case where a boy of fifteen was being interrogated by a translator. When the boy made a mistake and said his age was thirteen, the translator pulled a knife and stabbed him in the right side and cursed him for intentionally lying.

The witness said that the occupation troops are setting up numerous prisons in al-Fallujah. They use schools and private houses that they have occupied for that purpose. He added that the occupation troops now hold more than a thousand prisoners who are youths, children, and also some women.
