Do you really have that bad of an opinion of him?

Care to tell me why? I considered him rather interesting.

Lockerbee, the multiple bombings in the 80's attrributed to Gaddafi.

Just to name a couple.

How long before Libya becomes unstable because of all the factions that will be fighting for power?

2nd line.

Indeed! Boots on the ground will be needed to protect the investment once the Libyans that supported this "intervention" realise they have been sold to the bankers and corporations.

Yeah, and knowing how we are lied to on an almost daily basis by our own leaders, would you really take seriously anything they tell you? They always blame some distant bogeyman, to get the people all riled up, when in fact the causes of terror are often a little closer to home. But hey, it's good for business!

Look, I am as much against this un-war as you are.
But Gaddafi was no angel. Hard to raise much sympathy.

Gaddafi's body to arrive at Misratah "with-in the hour" according to the NTC spokeman on the phone to sky news right now. He's also confirmed his death.

He was shot in "both legs and in the head."

They've just shown the first images of dead Gaddafi live on sky news.. Pretty shocking imnage really. I can't post it due to that but I imagine it's on google now.

EDIT: Just looked on google myself and I can't find it. I'll post a link to it in this post when it comes up as I imagine people will want to see it and analyse it.

Very convenient for them that he died isnt it?

Will he be dropped onto the ocean also???

Yeah.. Funny how he was injured in his legs but now he is dead.. hmmm

Yeah I was waiting for it. He has probably already been dumped at sea too.

What disgusts me is how happy the Fox news team seems to be at the news he may have been killed. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Gadhafi, to see news reporters struggling to contain their joy is not a good look.

According to an NTC spokesman (who was on the phone to sky news not long ago) he was shot in the head as well. His body is also on It's way to Misratah as we speak.

Just saw that pic, it was an AFP image, can't find it either... I'm sure it'll be up soon.

I remember the media saying that they did not want to show the (non-existant) photo of dead Osama because it could make some people really pissed off and cause trouble.

It was ok to show a dead photo of Gaddafi... That wont piss anyone off, not the many Libyans I've seen on youtube who unlike what they show on TV really like Gaddafi and certainly not the people who clearly said that they will retaliate against the US if NATO does not leave Libya.

Nope, no one will be angry about his dead bloody body shown on TV right after he was killed.

I believe this in the first image of deceased Gaddafi (found on twitter) for anyone who may wish to analyse further.

images.scribblelive.com...

It's quite a gruesome image so click at your own risk. (Edit: Nevermind, It's posted below anyway lol)

(If this is a mistake and that picture is not the real one, let me know and I'll take it off asap.

If anyone is reading this, turn into sky news if you can. They're conducting an interview with one of the witnesses to the capture as we speak.

Gaddafi, according to Sky news, was shot in the head with a 9mm and he was also shot in the abdomen.

From the looks of it this was a very public killing, and many civilians seem to have seen what went on exactly. One of them claims to have been close enough to Gaddafi to "hit him with a shoe" so It seems he was never going to survive whatever happened really. They, as a whole, never would've allowed it.

I like that guy who said "I hit him with his shoes" Highly disrespectful in the Arab world.... the joy on his face and the cheers and laughs he got when he said that, he couldn't contain his excitement.

I'm not one to feel joyous and elated at another human beings death, execution or whatever.... but you can see what it means to these people... who have been under his brutal rule for 40+ years.
