so, god made us and then gave us the free will to sin but then he didnt like that we were sinners so he sent an incarnation of himself to earth and then he tortured and killed himself to forgive us? if i tried to pitch that to anyone with any sense of logic they'd laugh in my face. "of course, no man can understand the way of the lord" so then who are you or anyone else to try and preach it? let god reach me himself if he wants my love so badly.

Just as a seed is planted and grows into a beautiful blossom, creating nectar for other living things the planting of said seed was done with a loving intent. One can water it daily, feed it miracle grow (I prefer to give it coffee), and do everything in its power to glorify it but that does not mean it will be able to sustain itself. After the roots are deep and it matures the life it possess can be taken away in an instant by infestation of bugs and so on. When the blossom dies and the flower becomes soil again does that mean the person who planted the seed is at fault?

Life is a gift. Life is from the Word that put everything into motion. Everything is so connected, by which every action there is a reaction. This is observed as a Universal Law.

In my opinion you are like a little seed waiting to be watered. Before your eyes is a veil and while you may laugh it off, your words spoken in your posts bring me to this conclusion because they speak so loud. I honestly feel for you and wish you will feel for others when you speak/type.

You can create drama out of any word, story, and so on but once you study life and everything in it you will see there is a connection and this connection is without flaw. Look at the bigger picture, stand from another view point and try to see life from another view point, my friend.

God did not create us to sin. He created us to share in the joy of life and this life is good. We reap what we sow and have since day one. The good news is the future is not set in stone and we do have the power of free will and can indeed change the course of the effects but we must first recognize this power and change collectively through our actions and or cause. We make the bed we lie in and if yours, if not made....is a cause that effects me and every one else, imo. We must get out of the realm of self and think of others as our self.

We can each start with our self. Stop Judging others differences would be a nice step. Someone who does not hold your views should not be considered "insane". You could actually step away from yourself and look from their point of view as to understand others better. Maturity within yourself is not only survival but the growth in every one of us is needed in order to sustain that which we are and want to become.

So did Jesus. Did you know that???

My thoughts:

Once you have studied all religions it is really easy to see what happened and when. Controlling how others believe is common and not only in a religious setting does this mind control take place. I am sure you know that too...just wanting to clarify what I see.

Your story and picture of Jesus, imo, from where I stand is off base, and frankly shows an immature knowing of self and why you are here on Earth.

Jesus is not God.

Hi all this is my first thread,so if in the wrong section please move mods,

This is a summary of my unanswered questions to all followers of christianity,

If god is everywhere, then why do you have to go to church to speak with god?

If god created everyone equal, then why are people born with horrific disfigurations, disabilities and other life changing illness and disease?

If natural disasters are truly an "act of god",then why does god carry out these acts?

If christianity is based on forgiveness, then why go to confession or try to be good in life if all thats required upon arrival at the pearly gates is a simple sorry?

If jesus was the true son of god, then why did god allow him to suffer,if you were a parent how can sitting by and watching that happen to your own flesh and blood not be cnsidered evil?

Let the drama begin!

God is everywhere, we are not, so we go to church. You can talk to God there and everywhere. The family of believers are found together at church. God is everywhere.

God didn't create everyone equal, that is a notion in the declaration of independence. God created everyone unique and special. Suffering come from the fallen nature of man.

Disasters are called an act of God because that is what man's law defines them as. However, God does send some for reasons such as hatred and rejection towards Him, or for openly sinning in society.

Christianity is about Christ as Lord. Forgiveness is given through true repentance. A simple sorry won't do it.

God let His Son suffer and die for you so that He would not have to destroy you at the judgement. Jesus was also willing to suffer and die for you as well, so it was not only God's will but also of Jesus too. Those who do not accept what Christ has done to save them will be as guilty on the judgment day as if they crucified, tortured and killed Him themselves. If that is evil to have done this, they will be held to account for it.

I hope I answered you so that you can understand.

your last statement shows the lack of understand for the christian belief, and you just proved what i just said

you make Christianity fit the way you see fit,and that picture is as accurate as you can get,and to think you KNOW why we are here on earth only shows your arrogance, the true reflection of your religion. You can only guess why we are here, not one person on this planet can answer that question... only guess.

Although there are a couple of actual Bible believing Christians on this site, I would suggest seeking answers on a site such as www.carm.org, because the vast majority of responses will be negative. If I want to know why Elenin and Niburu are teaming up to spread disinformation about Ron Paul so that the the Federal Reserve can bring the NWO, this is the place, but if you want to know the how and why God created us, and has given us the opportunity to be reconciled back to Him through His sacrifice on the cross, by faith, go to carm.org, or try www.gotquestions.org...

I consider myself a Christian but I am not a Catholic Christian.. The answers to all your questions are in God's letter to you ( The Bible ). If you read it from Genesis to Revelations....asking God for understanding....He will surely give it to you....Ask and ye shall receive...Seek and ye shall find....Knock and the door will be opened unto you.... The answers are NOT in the churches...Jesus tells you this... They are the blind leading the blind and they will both fall in the ditch. In order to KNOW the Father you must read the scriptures... I will attempt to give you MY interpretation of what I received from reading His word and try to answer your questions as best as I can. #1...God is everywhere EXCEPT in the churches..Satan infiltrated them before Jesus was born... Back when the Roman Catholics was the ruling church they wanted to grow in power...The only way they could do this was to grow in NUMBERS..as majority rules... They made themselves as god on earth by CHANGING God's times and laws to draw in the pagan worshipers and increase their power and authority... They adopted the pagan rituals. They changed God's Holy Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday...the sun gods day...They adopted Christmas and Easter and labeled it Christian when it is clear in the Bible God forbids worshiping other gods they just LABELED it Christian and the whole world wanders after it just as the scriptures say they will. Right now Satan is having his way with the world and God is allowing him to do so to show man what happens when you disobey Him. #2...God didn't create everyone EQUAL... This too is clear in the Old Testament! Jacob and Esau are good examples... He told of their destines while they were in the womb...He did this with a few others too...Telling their mothers what they would do in their lives even before they were born and they were NOT EQUAL...The reason for all the DEFECTS in the human race is due to the fallen angels who sided with Satan in his fall from Heaven bred with the daughters of man. Angelic beings were forbidden from doing this. Most Christians when asked...Who were the sons of Adam? Will answer Cain and Able and Seth... Genesis 5 CLEARLY states otherwise. Cain was Satans child from the big sin in the garden. Thus you have a whole line of decendants from satan. Why would God tell Moses to go into the land of Cannon and kill everyone there? God promised that land to Israel ( Contenders with God ) and cannonites were the ancestors of Cain ( Satan ). They were in the land.#3... Acts of God?....How do we not know they are really the result of the sins of man? The RESULT of what man has done to Gods planet? Polluted waterways= deformed creatures in them... Man has harmed the delicate nature God has created and these DISASTERS are the result of that action taken by man. Exodus is a good example.... God tells Moses of all the DISASTERS that would befall the Egyptians for not letting His people go! EACH and everyone of them is the result of the actions they took and all can be scientifically explained...Water turned to blood...Algae...happens still today....Frogs can't breathe they exit in masses...thus the frog plague,,,the frogs die and then the next plague FLYS so on and so on...NONE of which God sent..God just knew what was going to happen and His creation was set up to respond in that manner when things go wrong. #4 Churches teach this and it is all wrong... GOD says DON'T confess your sins to man. Jesus says it is EASIER of a CAMEL to fit into the eye of a needle! Jesus says the way to Heaven is to follow God's laws...His ways.... The road to Heaven is narrow but the gates of hell are wide! Not so simple as they make it out to be... Man has ALWAYS fought against God's ways from the beginning.#5... God id a just God! The New Testament explains JUST WHO wanted Jesus killed...It was not the king..He found no wrong in what they said Jesus did to justify His death..It was the Roman Catholic leading priests who demanded Jesus be crucified and Barabbas, the killer, be set free. Satan was an angel and angels have eternal life and never die..BUT because he infiltrated the church and CAUSED the death of His son... Satan can now be punished for this and thrown into the pit of fire and held for 1000 years.. There is a certain law for angels just as there is for man and Jesus was sacraficed as the Lamb of God so that ALL can be saved and not just the line of David..To bring salvation to the world.. I know these statements will OFFEND some readers and many will not agree with MY INTERPRETATION of what I read and understood. I have read the Bible from cover to cover several times and get more understanding each time. I suggest EACH person do the same thing and not take for TRUTH what ANY HUMAN says...RELY on God above to grant you the understanding He wishes you to have. This is just MY UNDRESTANDING He has given me. Hope this gives all who read this the urge to READ THE BIBLE for your truth and not listen to MAN.

What drama?
1) You do not need to go to a church or other building to speak with God...most instances of communication described in the Bible actually take place outside of buildings and in the open spaces of nature...
2) There is nothing in the Bible indicating God created everyone equal...This language found in the Declaration of Independence is not a quote from Scripture...
3) Again, this is the language of man attempting to ascribe to God acts of nature...
4) Forgiveness is important, but not necessarily the, "be all, end all." Repentance is an indication things have become different with an individual...
5) According to the Scripture, we are all "sons of God." As to whether it is evil to watch a child fuflill their destiny or their chosen course of action in their own life, that is simply a judgment of one entity's actions placed upon another...

Father has patience unbeknownst to man. All of heaven cried when Jesus died on the cross. It was thought Father was going to end everything right there at once. All was still for a while, all of heaven and Earth shook at this time. Father hurt at this time, it was very evident.

If god is everywhere, then why do you have to go to church to speak with god?

You do not Church is where you are the large ornate buildings are not houses for God.
They are supposed to be an area where one can congregate with others with one accord.

If god created everyone equal, then why are people born with horrific disfigurations, disabilities and other life changing illness and disease?

That is the product of Adam and Eves original sin which brought about the curse of death upon mankind. It also corrupted mans DNA and the earth was effected by the sin also, read the Bible it is in there.

If natural disasters are truly an "act of god",then why does god carry out these acts?

Answer is above the earth was effected by the original sin.

If christianity is based on forgiveness, then why go to confession or try to be good in life if all thats required upon arrival at the pearly gates is a simple sorry?

You must not have read the Bible in your life, as that is not at all how salvation works.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repent is to turn away from that which is wrong in God's eyes, not to do it, ever again.
Salvation is not guaranteed, one must continually stay the course and hate that which God hates and Love that which God loves.

If jesus was the true son of god, then why did god allow him to suffer,if you were a parent how can sitting by and watching that happen to your own flesh and blood not be cnsidered evil?

So if the bible is "god's letter" to us then how did the bible come about,it is surely man made then, and is therefore(such as any other man made artefact) fallible,no?seems the christian faith likes to chop and change its facts to suit??

The Bible was written by man. The bible is not 100% accurate either. Just look at the OT, it shows a completely different God than the NT. The OT was mainly mans view of God.

The answer is simple. "God so loved the world He gave his only begotton Son" Jesus paid the price of death so you and I could have eternity in Heaven. He suffered so you don't have to if you believe. It was an act of love and sacrifice!! Your last comment below is the real issue isn't it?

Just supposing for a minute, as I don't really believe any of these beings exist (including Christ) outside of myth.

You are an all powerful God, who can do anything you want, any time you wish. You create a very flawed humanity in your image and when they inevitably fall from grace and "sin" as you obviously knew they would, you wish to show them that you love them and wish to forgive them. Out of all the infinite ways to do such a thing you choose...I know, I love my son and my creation so much that instead of finding forgiveness for what is essentially my fault to begin with, I will send my son down who has done nothing wrong to be tortured to death on a wooden cross!!! Yep, that'll fix it!!!

Out of all of the roundabout ill conceived ideas imaginable, this one is up there. Out of all the ways that could be viewed as intelligent and kind, this isn't one of them. If we were talking about any other being, they would surely be considered dangerously insane. Yet, once again, concession is given to God. It also doesn't do to say we just don't understand. There is no other way to view this option without being brainwashed into accepting such a cruel act is loving, apart from completely insane (leaving out the most obvious option ie. it is simply a myth, didn't happen, non existent) .

Wanting them to believe in me so much, I also feel that instead of showing up definitively and giving people a good reason to believe, I will make sure not only that there is no genuine historical record of such a cock and bull story, I will pass my "wisdom" through unknown sources and make sure it conflicts not only with itself but with general knowledge so much that it will be obvious it couldn't have happened. So that any rational person will have doubts, then if they use the common sense I gave them and don't believe I will cast them out and make them suffer forever......because I am so full of love and mercy...

edit on 19-10-2011 by Cogito, Ergo Sum because: for the heck of it

There is outside verifiable evidence to demonstrate Jesus, Peter, Paul, James, and John, (along with many others) existed...Science also knows Solomon (i.e., Suleiman) and David existed, along with Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, etc., existed...

They let the pastor give them their relationship to God, without having a one on one with God themselves. This is some, not all.

Wow, that's a big wall of text my friend. We aren't writing on lambskin any more. You can use some space.

You might want to dump out that old wine too. It seems to be bittering the sweetness of the new wine offered by Christ.

Did you mention him above?
