The one aircraft carrier China has is an old soviet one. China is using it as a training test bed for their carrier air wings, and to date are about 30 years behind the west when it comes to aircraft carrier projection and tactics.

People seem to overlook the fact that the chinese economy is completely dependant on the world market and not their own local markets. With chinese manipulation in key sector markets they have apparently missed the mark on how best to control through manipulation, and its now spiraling outside of their control.
As far as the Iranian plot goes, maybe we should pull back on the 100 meter rush to judgment on both sides and see wghat the evidence is, and how Iran can debunk it before busting out the end of the world signs.

The total US death toll for both The Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined is less than 6,000.
Vietnam cost 58,000 US troops, and the Korean war a further 36,000.
Whilst 6,000 troops deaths is a significant and sad loss, it is tiny number compared to both the Vietnam and Korean campaigns..........an no nukes were used after either of these wars to avoid future troop losses!

Not really.........an attack on Iran by Israel or the US is no more going to lead to WW 3 than when Iraq's nuclear facility at Osirak was bombed by Israeli war planes in 1981.....or when the US/UK invaded Iraq in 2003.

They have been saying this for years. I won't hold my breath. This is just more doom and gloom saber rattling tomfoolery. There is not going to be any
war with Iran in the 2 weeks, a month, or even a year from now. The US and its allies in Europe are in no position to launch strikes on Iran nor do
they have the manpower at the present time. Conflict in Afghanistan, military presence in Iraq and Libya. What are they going to do initiate a draft?

The economy is in turmoil, people are disgruntled from coast to coast, the President's political influence and popularity is waning, and people talk of another war which will make Iraq and Afghanistan look like child's play? This war is not going to happen anytime soon unless there is some catastrophic attack orchestrated by Iran on US soil or against US assets over seas. I don't see that happening either.
Some of you may not have noticed, but the looney tunes behavior of President, Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, has largely dissipated from what we have seen in the past. The Mullahs must have told him to tone it down or something? In the meantime, the Busher nuclear plant is online amid international sanctions, and harsh rhetoric by the West. It is said to be producing electricity by the Iranian government, or enriching uranium if you want to believe that. Then, they released the US hikers after about two years of contested captivity. They haven't been commenting on Israel or the Palestinians lately as well. It seems to me they have been purposely going out of their way to remain off the radar, and out of the public focus for the past few years or so.
I am a little skeptical about this thwarted Quds Force operation announced by the Department of Justice as well, because it does not seem to be the way Iran has been operating lately. For example, it is alleged they were operating along side the US military in Iraq with all of its large intelligence network and a massive troop build-up some years ago and all they could put together was circumstantial evidence about alleged involvement in the insurgency and some arrests here and there. My point is, they were operating under the nose of the US military during a time in the war when their force capability was at its climax. Now, all of the sudden they get emboldened or sloppy whichever you prefer? It does not sit well with me. Especially considering the harsh political climate currently being endured by the Obama Administration, scandals coming from every direction, a failing a economy with no end in sight, and all of a sudden a grandiose terrorist crackdown is announced? Two plus two does not equal six but four. The math seems skewered?
Furthermore, they are going to need rock solid proof of a legitimate threat to the US by Iran, because unfortunately for the politicians I am starting think people in large amounts are wising-up. A war with a Iran has too many unknowns, and could be a disaster for the US and all involved. I truly believe that. I am not going to lose sleep over this or head to my basement either. I am sorry folks but there is not going to be a war with Iran in the immediate future unless fire and brimstone is reigning down from the heavens.

Obama needs his own war in order to have the smallest chance of re-election. Now is the time, as the elections are 12 months away.
Also, Obama needs to WAG THE DOG pretty fiercely at this point to distract from the Fast and Furious scandal and the growing Solyndra scandal. IMHO, Barry is in very, very deep doo-doo at this point, and needs a fresh war to take our minds elsewhere.
However, I hope we do bomb the *&(^ out of them....that crazy bastard is way out of control!

ANY attack on Iran, by the USA, or Israel, or both, will be seen by the Iranian religious leadership as a licence (the will of God) to retaliate in every possible way, even if that means that all of Iran is destroyed by war, and all of the Iranian people are "martyred"... Uniting Muslim sects will be swift... To them it will be the war of wars, a holy war.
Don't fool yourselves, there will be no terms of engagement, no rules of war.. Iran has the ability to retaliate through sustained, widespread and devastating acts of brutality and terror in the region.... Inside the USA, and Israel.
Their defenses will be eliminated, but not without great cost to the "invaders"... Bombing nuclear facilities will release radioactive materials, millions could die in this war, and it could easily escalate and broaden into much larger conflict.. across the region, and potentially between super-powers.
An attack may be on the table for strategists, but they should leave this one there.
Nothing good will come from any hostilities... As long as there is diplomacy, and powers involved are communicating.. People aren't being killed... Why would anyone even consider a military option here?

They do not want to be the first to strike, but to do enough to force the US/Israel to strike first.
The USA would be wise to not be provoked... There are other ways....
