Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Jesus also talked of Satan at the last supper
John 14:30
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
He is here, and always has been.

You have to remember something about the human brain. We were once very barbaric creatures running around this planet, killing and maiming animals and each other. There is still a lot of barbarism still left inside our primitive minds, so it's still active.

I wanted to know this because most believe they are in Heaven...But the Bible says "the dead in Christ shall rise first"....
They go in the grave like everybody else. Resurrection comes later.

If you burn in Hell for eternity, why does the Bible say that "the saints" shall tread on the ashes of the wicked on the new Earth?

OR . .
You can figure out that Revelation is metaphorical with no indication that it should be taken in any other way.
