If you deny anyone with a pulse their rights, you do not have a democracy to begin with.
Direct democracy is mob rule. Who said its fair?
The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.[1] The Tenth Amendment states the Constitution's principle of federalism by providing that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the states by the Constitution are reserved, respectively, to the states or the people.
The Tenth Amendment Center is conducting a nationwide tour to educate people about the process of nullification. Plans are currently being made for nine additional states. First tour stop was Kansas City; in January, 2012, Nullify Now! heads to Philadelphia. TAC uses a quote from founding father Thomas Jefferson to explain nullification, a process with origins in the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution. That amendment delegates powers to the states and to the people on matters not assigned to the federal government. A state has the right to nullify an unconstitutional federal law. Jefferson said, “Whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers….a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.” Liberals in particular have an issue with the principle of nullification, but liberals tend to approach the Constitution and amendments that followed it from an expansive standpoint rather than from the limiting document the Constitution was meant to be.
If you SERIOUSLY see no good in Communist theory, then you're either lying or you're an unreasonable/brainwashed/immoral person.

Communism will only work in the real world when all men are angels. Never in history has Communism benefited the people it has been *imposed* on.
Most people who find aspects of communism noble were not alive when Communism existed in many more places around the world than it exists today.
I find it interesting though that most people not opposed to it have this *those other guys didn't do it right* outlook. I have yet to hear anyone alive in the days of the USSR and Communist China share your views.
And so I suppose the world must try again for they have forgotten the lessons learned about it decades ago.
sigh

I have a family history to draw from.
I still have family in Cuba under threat of the communist regime.
So many spoiled American brats wanna tell me what's what when it is they who have the luxury of erroneously pursuing failed ideology at the theoretical level in a free society they wish to tear down.
America may not be perfect. But I seek to restore liberty. I seek to restore constitutional governance. I am not brainwashed enough to stand with a bunch of morons who seek to place my family in the bonds they escaped from so long ago.

Capitalism has proven tyrannical?
Really?
We may be suffering from military adventurism. We may have some seriously misguided folks in government. Some of them egomaniacs of the worst kind. But we are NOT a dictatorship.
If you think that I invite you to live in Cuba for a few weeks and see how you feel afterward.
