OP do you even see the hypocrisies of your own threads and posts?

You speak of whining protesters, yet you whine insistently in your threads.

And you talk about accomplishing nothing, well guess what............?

So your assertion is that Obama himself organized these protests? Is that a joke? I know you skip most, but please read just this one. This is fact not conspiracy, ok. This is why they march!

The reasons although soured are clear and are not left or right friend. Certainly there are many clueless or those who seek to turn it into some commie affair, but at heart the protests are to call attention to the fact that Wall Street rules America and to call out some clear Cheat Thief’s.

First I would recomend viewing the trader on BBC who spoke the truth on air, and caused all involved to get fired and clearly set the MSM on its head.
rt.com...

Second I would suggest you follow the money. Americas wealth has not just disappeared my friend.

It has become impossible to distinguish between elected officials and concentrated capital in this country. Each candidate spends 1 billion+, and most of that comes from JP Morgan Chase, Goldman etc…

In 2001 JP Morgan Chase held 24 trillion in derivatives. Today those same derivatives are worth 76 trillion due to inflation alone. Derivatives are securities whose value depends on the values of other basic underlying securities, and inflation leads to profit for these traders.

These traders go to bed at night dreaming of the next recession, and seem to have engineered this one. JP Morgan and Goldman were the top speculators behind the Oil hike!

Because we all saw the housing crash coming! They were shoveling loans down everyone’s throats, and some states like Texas even enacted legislation to halt the practice. JP Morgan and Goldman were at the heart of this as well.

The housing mess was a clear hit at the American Dollar. The money the Fed prints only accounts for 3% of our total currency supply. The other 97% is issued by private banks in the form of loans.

In 2006 there were 13 Chinese Yuen to the Dollar, today there are 6.3 and this number is falling. American labor is just about on par with Chinese labor, and if we did away with Unions and the EPA we would be sitting on the next China. You see where I am going here?

Because our media will not cover the real issues! Instead they just shove more plastic men down our throats!

The days of saying I didn’t see it on the news, so it must be bull are DONE, DONE and DONE!

Another plastic man in the WH will not fix anything!

The protests say WE KNOW!!
rt.com...

Sorry that I have to use Rueters, but they are covering the protests while the MSM is not. You may see it on the MSM but it is painted as a left or even communist affair.

Bush, Obama, Perry, Romney all of them are the same! Our house and senate is packed with special interest and if you follow the money most comes from Wall Street!

P.S. What do Marines and bananas have in common? They both start out green turn yellow, and die in bunches!

Keep this in mind: The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belonged to one category, and that the art of leadership... consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention.

Many that protest are clueless friend, but so are most Americans. When 100,000 march it will not be for flower power or to make a statement, it will be tell these criminals that they are not to big to fail. They are to big to exist! Maybe they are not monopolies, but it is still time to break them apart and ensure none has this power again. At present JP Morgan owns more than 50% of the Inflation Linked Derivatives market.

My employer, for the fourth year in a row, has opted out of cost of living increases, opted into insurance premium increases and crazy OOP expense plans and has just switched me from slary to hourly without notice or regard for contract.

I am attending the OWS meetings and have observed the formation of these groups, their issues and their participants. You have no #ing idea what you are talking about. If you are THAT wrong and biased about who you percieve to be involved in the movement, your opinion is compltely null and void.

Put on your pants, get off your couch and go see for yourself.

As for the use of metaphore....it is aclose to expressing the sentiment of these meetings as I can express in words. It is visceral, not political. Again, you might know that if you actually attempted to gain some direct expereince as opposed to picking it from Glen Beck's soiled underthings.

Look, I believe you believe what you're saying. You're slightly older than me, and I'm glad you have a masters, I've only got a BS (I love that double meaning...). But your employer is cutting out COL increases and moving hourly pay to save your job.

It's either that or fire you. I'd guess that the industry you are in probably is suffering like many of them are right now.

I know it sounds sexy to think that the executives are hoarding the wealth - but the bottom line is that when a business starts to struggle, the low hanging fruit is the first thing to go.

Publicly held businesses (the kind your 401k is based on) are the worst about this because all those pesky shareholders (like you with your 401k) demand a consistent level of payout - regardless of the economic situation. So the companies look at what they can cut first - what "non-essentials" are easiest to get rid of while maintaining the same level of output.

If you're job isn't crucial to the work process, or if someone else can do your job in conjuction with their own - you will get laid off.

It's not evil greed - it's a fact of life. Hell, look at it this way - when you downgraded your cell phone plan to save money - you just cost someone their job.... Way to Go Bully!

I work in the penal system in mental health. I understand what has happened in my state and it is being investigated as seroius misappropriation of funds. The fat cats ARE in this circumstance, sitting pretty. Some are twice retired and still working as "consultants" with half a million dollar salaries while they displace the mentally ill onto the streets and into your backyard. The jails are overflowing here and the budget has just been cut by 6-8%, while the cost ove benefits has risen as well. Law enforcement is struggling here. Is that non essential enough for you? I know, I am familiar with these people. Some have created corporate entities as subsidiaries and contracted out work to themselves at increadibly inflated rates, using the metally ill and cap Medicaid as funding. It criminal. that is part of what we are yelling about locally...eight people pulling strings in the state mental health system has cost over 500 people and 10000 clients everything...they are even opening up "non profit international corps in Carson Nevada in a giant historical mansion as a way to funnel money away from prying eyes.

Do you know that the police do intense sweeps of the uptown business districts before every major publicity event here in Utah so that we look good to outsiders? They clean up the rabble and drop them on the jail steps. Most of these are mentally ill and on some kind of med, which gets discontinued durring incarceration because there isnt a lot of money for treatment. They go from eccentric to crazy in about two weeks....

I'm all for letting them run around bat ass crazy, I actually think that is better for them than incarceration or "welfare" treatment. I don't care if they sleep on my lawn or knock on my door for food. The wealthy districts and East end areas, however, have a total # fit. It uglies up the neighborhood. It reminds them of the financial gap between people and makes them uncomfortable, so we keep them out of view. We are arresting people just long enough that they lose their jobs, relationships, homes and vehicles...over some pretty stupid things, like drug possession and public urination. They are turned out without options and, well, are hungry and tired. So they go to someones car, or back yard and steal things to get something to eat or to drug up and numb out to the total hell they are living in. this is the world I live in every day. I live among them because I choose to work in a career that actually tries to make a difference in this world instead of a paycheck. You sound like you may actually have read about this world in US News or Business Weekly...

Most people onthis planet are paycheck to paycheck or are freaking out trying to pay the bilss and the solution is "cut out cable and internet" or "get a new phone". You are pretty damn far removed my friend. But we are coming, so just sit back smugly and pretent that we are a bunch of smelly hippies that will lose interest in a week. That works for us. Just keep living apart and in your own world.

The gap is increasing and those falling into it are doing so in increasing numbers. As history bears out, when the disaffected become the majority and food and shelter become scarce, revolution is in the wind. That is what is happening here, not your pretent war of ideologies. Its all about food and shelter. Thats the unifying structure, thats what will drive this movement. Every successful revolution in history has always had this componant at its core. Watch out for this one, better bar your door if you live in any way that even resembles upper class. Its coming to a town near you this week.

What you are seeing is the beginning of a resource war. Its about food and shelter. Not cell phone plans.

Stop drinking the cool-aid of "news" channels that don't show the truth!!

Interesting how they didn't air that part, but instead showed a stuff that's not important. And it's not just FOX, CNN did it as well amongst most of the others.

Also, you made 3 threads with pretty much the same OP...one uninformed thread not enough?

This shouldn't even be judged from a left vs right perspective. Sometimes stuff is just plain wrong no matter how you look at it.

Everyone should be outraged, no matter their party affiliation. Sadly, the mass media (corrupt) who are sponsored by big business and Wall Street companies (corrupt) doesn't show the truth, and neither do the politicians (corrupt) they bring on their shows. It's about one thing, and one thing only, MONEY.

Over the years those crooks worked hard to get us to this point, and it's about time the people wake up and stop being sheep. And I don't mean that in a violent way, I'm not talking about guns and civil war. I'm talking about protesting. The only way they will be FORCED to change (or announce a dictatorship) is if the politicians get their faced rubbed in it. They NEED majority support to win elections, so they can't ignore this issue if enough people wake up and protest.

Sadly, this thread is a good example of people who've been so brainwashed by the corrupt mass media and silly pundits like Rush that they can't see reality anymore. Totally and utterly subdued.

All you die hard OWsers out there: Be careful what you are fighting for. Take a few deep breaths and think for minute. Is what you are feeling now the same feeling experienced by the poor people of France in 1789? They quickly came under the Terror of the Committee of 12 and then under the authoritarian regime of Napoleon.

How about the Russian proletariat in1916? They were quickly consumed by the 5 years programs and then by the tyranny of Stalin.

The downtrodden citizens of Germany in 1930? I don't have to tell you how liberated they became.

The Chinese in the 1940s? Well after about 50 years of tyranny they loosened up a bit, so we'll give them a break.

What about the Cambodian peasants under the leadership of Pol Pot? Google image that one.

But this is different you say? I'm sure their leadership was telling them the exact same thing. When "the workers of the world unite", bad things happen. To them usually.

Domestic primate biological impulses create hierarchy. Large, centralized systems bring alphas that are distant from the lower tier primates and that distance makes for the liklihood of abuse.

Only at a localized level can natural leaders emerge. Leaders are part of our biological system. It's ok to have them.

If higher level aliens do exist, they see no difference between a centralized, corporate controlled society, organized on principles of war and slavery vs a centralized, collectivist authoritariat, based on war and slavery. What you are fighting for is the same thing you are fighting against. You may not think you are fighting for it, but all societies organize on hiearchical principles. It is nature. Unless you are denying Darwin now, too.

The only way to avoid the war and slavery is to create a highly connected yet DE-centralized system. The system closest to this concept to date is the one spelled out in our laps. The one we gave up. The one that begins "We the people..."

Give power back to the states. Massively cut federal spending. Disengage from the UN and NATO and allow the much smaller federal government to enter into treaties seperately with nations on limited basis.
If the people check their representatives properly, federal subsidies to special interests will end. Without a large central, government, there is no military industrial complex. Without a central bank, local banks, though interconnected planetwide, are answerable to their customers. Without a large, central government, there are no subsidies for industry -at least not paid for by by the nation as a whole. Without the power of a large, central government, there is no one for the corporations to pay to take care of them with inside deals. If the power is in the local governments (what smart states would encourage), these local leaders would be directly answerable to the people. You dont have to worry about what Pelosi or Boehner are up to because, excepting a few nationwide issues, it doesn't really affect you. THAT is the power of the people.

Giving the existing elites reason to crack their whips even harder and then have a laugh at your expense doesn't do a whole lot of good. No matter how good it might feel to scream and yell, or do repeat chants or whatever.

You know the scenes in movies when some medieval leader dealing with a riot says something to the effect, "The riff raff need some room to vent from time to time?" I know you don't want to believe it, but that's you they're talking about.

Trust me, these elites aren't as smart as they, or you, think they are. These smoke and mirror games can only last so long. The cracks are very apparent now and the man behind the curtain may be screaming to ignore him, but it's not doing any good.

Rather than fall victim to more slavery, with a different flavor, how about actually using some human creativity and supporting things like freedom, personal responsibility, rewards to those who earn them, etc.

What was the anarchist slogan of the early 20th? Workers of the world, Disperse!

hankyou for taking the time to write up your experience there in your city and your work area , the mentaly ill people .

when I read stuff like this and the cruel greedy horrors of men and women who exploit the funds coming into these areas . I just think , bring it on ..let the people do what they must do , to stop the greedy immoral people amongst us all in all walks of life .

it makes me feell that i should leave food out overnite for the hungry that go past except we dont have any here .

I do see the homeless guys down the beach though and I want to ask them their stories . What happened .
i THINK IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT BOOK .

Then I think of ways to engage them in life and me at the same time , by holding art sessions in the beach parks for them . Like get community grants to buy all the supplies and lay paper out and ask them to just draw their stuff .
I should have done the art therapy courses .

Just something to include these people in everyday life activities . Like Yoga classes for free for the fellas . Singing groups around where they are . Not round them up for a reality TV show called the Homeless Chior .

There is so much we all could do for helping others .

Then I think about openning up my garage and letting people who wander around sleep in there . But I dont as i have expensive bikes in it . See I get selfish .

More straw man tea party propaganda, this is NOT ABOUT OBAMA! That would imply all the people there are conspiring together to distract. This is laughable, this is about WALL STREET GREED! Are you clueless or are you just projecting your politics on others? People from all parties are there together and now the unions.

GET REAL! This is mere political trolling this is part of a smear campaign, stop dragging all of us in to your petty political BS! This is not about you or your political agenda and what candidate you think should win in 2012. Obama is wall street he is to blame as well. Him as well as the Rep are all bought and paid for by the bankers. The people know this and are standing up in great numbers. The Media is the banking propaganda machine. You making this wild claim accomplishes nothing in the process. The bankers love people like you seeding propaganda and trying to divide us.

Pathetic
