beat me to it - i just checked if she had logged in today! Nice catch. So who logged in?? "amanda" or "mom", haha. And why no posts anywhre, no updates? Yeah, people that believe things at face value could perhaps take a few lessons in rationality, logic, and probability. It is like those *&%&*^$&^%&* facebook reposts that make me so mad. People reposting sob stories about children dying, or dead, or sos and so needs your prayers and all that jazz. People read them, repost them, along with comments like "OMG! I am so distraught overhtis. This has upset me me so much" blah blah. Yet if they would have taken a minute to google they would have seen it was a hoax. And when you point this out to them, they ignore you. They dont even delete the post, they just leave it there. that drives me so batty.

ok, rant over. sorry about that, went OT there for a minute. well it was sort of relevant. People seem to prefer to wallow in the tragic than accept the fact that life isnt really that tragic after all. I think people watch too much drama on tv. Life is actually pretty tame, boring, quiet, eventless....if someone tells you a story that is not that, question it. Get to the bottom of it. Dont fall for it, without something to back it up that is.

Man you guys r some heartless bas***ds. I read the entire mothers thread. I even commented on it. I don't see all the sceptical crap most of you r bit**ing about. The daughter posted to ask one question. The third reply answered her question. To be honest she probably doesnt give a rats ass what any of us think. If my mom was in her moms condition I wouldnt. She got her answer. Maybe things arent going any better or god forbid got worst. Ask your self what you would do.One thing about the comments the mother left on other other posts about the members bashing people, If youlook at the threads she read, that's all there was to comment on. Plus she said she just posted to twenty to post here. Also, I notice that either the mother never logged out or the daughter didnt because the member has been online for 3 straight days. I shut down my computer without logging out and guess what I was still logged in. Guess that answers that.

I think both r real and I hope the mother is alright. She was really scared. The whole thing just seems to real to be made up.

Yeah, I hear you my friend

It's nice to give the average people a fair amount of the benefit of the doubt but THIS?......come on!
This stunk of gullible fodder!

Now if this was an established member or even a newer member who posted on other threads then, yeah. A very very little 'maybe' .....that this MIGHT be true.

But this had very reasonable doubt right from the get-go!

All that needs to be done is insert yourself in said-scenario. Grant it, we will all vary a bit but would a reasonable person (daughter) hop on a conspiracy site looking for answers as to why their mother is deep in a mysterious coma in the hospital?

I mean, really?

I hope the Mods can trace the ISP and perhaps see if this user has been here before and hopefully if they have, banned their arse and toss this in the hoax pile.

And that's another thing. A lot of disgruntled banned members do this from time to time. They've been known to create threads like this.

I'm just sayin'.............................

PS
And to the other poster above?
Pssst, 9-11 was an inside job as is this

I have some waterfront property in Arizona that you might be interested in. Just let me know

And might I say, just because someone thinks OTHER than the way you do, doesn't make them any less wrong in a situation such as this.

I think you need to deflate that ego of yours a tad. After all, you MIGHT be wrong.

Well if it isn't the arsehole brothers.

This thread has two possibilities.

One: the person is trolling.
Two: the OP is telling the truth.

Your post's reflect on both outcomes.

One: Your hypocritcal by mingling with (what you believe) is a troll.
By contributing to a thread that you believe isnt real, by replying and attacking the OP you are keeping it alive.

Two: If The OP really does need help, and half the things she reads in this post are you two
calling her a troll. She's going to think that this website isn't worth coming to for help.
I'm not suprized that she hasn't posted back, you guys make the forum look like its run full of non understanding
jerks.

In the end nothing good is coming out of it.. So why bother?
.... Sigh

And im sorry for you OP. I hope everything is okay.
Thoughts be with you.

Attention
Boredom
Retaliation
Psychology project
Friends' bet
Hoax wanna be

Ask yourself the opposite question now: Why go through all this trouble asking conspiracy strangers a crucial question when your mother was rushed to the hospital under doctors care?

But we see that she, Amanda? popped on today.
Why not update the worried posters? Obviously she's not sitting vigil by her mothers side.

This is not how a typical person would spend the very early hours (if not minutes) after their parent lapsed into a coma.

Call me a skeptic and cynical. I see me being reasonable and rational.

Not going to bump this thread anymore. Good luck everyone.

just because I don't agree with you does not make me a heartless bastard, you know. I actually have an infinite amount of heart when it is warranted. I just also possess a strong sense of logic and an incredible amount of intuition. When it comes to behaviours and such, my gut instinct is right about 98% of the time. I can read people, even through posts. and i may not always have anything hardcore to back myself up, but my gut tells me things and it is rarely wrong.
In this situation, my gut tells me none of the people - not the mom, not "amanda", not her "little brother" behaved normally. You say that this whole story is "just to real" to be made up...hmmm. i see details in the story, and a lot of people see details and automatically think this has to be true. But details are just a glamour. A way to pad out a story to make it seem real. In this instance, I get the gut feeling that the author of this story created "details" that did not fit the characters in her story. As a novice writer, and quite used to critiqueing my own work, it stands out to my eye. The pecan pie and venetians? nah. and a loving mom giving these to her kids to "sustain" them?? Not buying it. Bake them a casserole or two for the freezer, then you are sustaining your children. What the hell are they going to do with a dessert that will be stale in two days. That is not sustenance. The daughter, a grown woman, thinking to grab her mother's computer on the way out the door to go to the hospital? nah. The half grown son needing his mother's permission to have some of the "pie" she baked for him? Again, my gut says no, nice try by a struggling writer, but sticks out.
I am not heartless, I am just left with the feeling that I just read a sub-par story, not actual events.
But I know that different people would see it a bit differently. Hey, some people thought Twilight was a great series and a great movie, so there you go.
As a person with a talent for both intuitively senseing things, and for writing, I just think it is false from beginning to end.
But like I said a few pages ago, if i am wrong I will apologize...

Good point.. but then again maybe she was embarrassed because some did see her hoax?..maybe there were ulterior motives behind it, that really didn't have much to with hoaxing..?

Seems like the possibilities could have a variety of reasoning behind them.

If it was legit, hopefully the daughter has found the answers she was looking for, and her mom is doing better...

I can't count the times that question has been asked.
Inevitably, it's proven time over that many have the time and the inclination to hoax without need for applause. Your question alone please many hoaxers.

My belief is the mother finished her dream as suggested on the first page of the mother's OP
-- if it's hoaxed then that wouldn't phase me either.

Maybe you should try to finish the dream. If you can stay asleep and go with it, just see it through to the end. Maybe your mind/subconscious won't give you any peace .....

this sounds like the movie insidious. when a person astral travels and cant get back to the body. we leave our bodies every night and our dreams exist in another reality. sometimes the soul gets lost in the dream. hope this helps.

Why is someone with such highly intuitive intelligence trolling on a site like this. I come to this site every one in a while and today decided to join, since this was on the front page I went to it. I read both pages and think that some people on here are so full of themselves and so adept at hiding behind fake id's and imaginary minds that the think way to much of their own opinion. Some are so use to their own fake lives on here that they wouldnt know a true story if it jumped out of the page and bite them... Yes, I went there....
I read both stories and I really dont see any hoax stuff in them. I bet if I went to all your profiles and then went and read your post to the things you comment on, all of them would be ust like this, full of self rightousness and self admiration. PLEASE.

Highly intuitive intelligence.
Are you for real. How's that for sharing a opinion. Posters have every right to call Hoax on this because it is way to far fetched. Deny ignorance.

funny - you just joined today, adn the first two threads you post on are "amanda's" and her "mom". hmmmmmm. so are you amanda or her mom? Is this just more of the drama you are unfolding?
I saw you post in the other thread, and I have been waiting for you to post here. I knew you wouldnt be able to resist -= or that thatw as your intention all along.
and I am not here "trolling" as you say, lol. Anhd since when has someone intuitive or intelligent not able to also enjoy the ATS forums?
Actually I live in a remote location with not a lot of people that live here, and I dont watch tv, so I enjoy browsing this forum. Makes for nice diversion from all the quiet and nature and lack of conversation. Fills the quiet, lol.
anyway, take care amanda.
ETA: lol - I was going to come back to make a prediction that you would next quickly hop to a few other threads to crank out a few rapid posts to "throw us off", but you have already done that! Knew you would.

I've changed my mind and am going to post more.

Here's why I think this is BS.
The person who wrote about her dream claims that god is trying to tell her something (right before the intense Sept 26-28th hoe-down incidentally)

Now this lends probable cause to think this person believes in God. After all, this person thinks this other person is trying to tell her something.
So why not respect this person and capitalize his name? It's not like this person was not using appropriate upper-case throughout the original post. After all, s/he was cognizant enough capitalize 'Earth' (which I do too) but not 'god'? Really?

Fast forward to this thread.

The author to this thread also fails to capitalize god.

Is this a slam dunk as to who-dun-it? Nah.
Is it coincidence? Perhaps.
Is it just emulating the parent? Maybe
The same author? Most likely!

Nice spotting the capitalization of God. I try to remember to capitalize it, forget once in a while, but not always. good catch.
And I love your posts! Have a great day!

You sign on today and feel you can attack people? Wow. Usually people trend the unknown waters a little more cautiously.

Interesting how YOU don't use apostrophes (dont----wouldnt etc) like the OP in the original Dream thread!

Coincidence? Maybe
Same person? Most absolutely!

Get out of here.
