This whole thing is Orwellian Double Speak on steroids!

"We oppose globilization!"

"Let's bond together in a social hive mind!"

"We don't like the NWO!"

"We need to get Facebook accounts for centralization!"

"We don't approve of centralization of power!"

"Let all the religions get along, please! You're no different from each other!"

"PEACE"

"Let's lynch Wall Street!"

"Violence is bad!"

If this stuff was any more backwards, upside down and inside out, I'd think everyone was suffering from some kind of world view dyslexia!

For those of you saying some of the complaints are against the government not corporate America, I have some news for you.

The American military no longer serves to provide your freedom, their main job is protecting the wealth and resources or the ruling elite.

The America you think we live in, hasn't existed since the 50's.

Corporate America calls the shots now.

People have been wholesale slaughtered in Rwanda for 15 years, they even did movies about it. Did we show up with a Marine division and Aircraft carriers?

Fast forward to Libya, a few hundred get killed and we spring to action.

Why? They have something we want, oil.

Yah well some man just said on the livestream that "police brutality is part and parcel of the Capitalist System". It is patently ridiculous to sit there and say these things. I wonder if that guy was on the streets of Egypt when people were getting run over by tanks. Was that because of Capitalism? This is why I do not trust what is behind this protest. It is patently ridiculous to claim police brutality as an apparatus exclusively of Capitalism. Perhaps you would like to convince me that Stalin wasn't really a communist too?

The MSM is reporting only a few hundred people are in protest (when they do report) and remain vague to what is going on? LOL well the Media continues to expose themselves agenda wise. This aerial photo from Satellite shows us a different picture.

Does this look like a couple hundred people?

There list "grievances" is a list of ill-informed opinions. Opinions.

Again, we have indignant kids with a poor understanding of reality protesting an enemy that exists only in their minds.

When I see things like this I can't help but think that the 50+ years barrage of progressive propaganda has successfully warped entire generations into a mindset of class warfare, entitlement, and seize-there-assets style communism.

All of these things have a similar philosophical thread:

Entitlement = I exist therefore I am owed (money, healthcare, education, etc).

Not at all. It's more like this: Entitlement = you take half of my paycheck, therefore I am owed something for it.

Class Warfare = Rich people are rich because they stole the money, so let's steal it back! (Ignoring the facts of economics)

Communism = Politicized class warfare with a side of entitlement!

if that was china, they wouldn't get out of their
tanks long enough to stomp people, they'd just open fire.

The only place I've heard about this Occupation of NY is here on ATS. I appreciate the work of all those who have brought information to us.
Without this site, there is A LOT of vital information that would pass me right by.

This is both sad and encouraging at the same time

Just watched a report on BBC. You would think if the media really had a "leftist liberal bent" This would be all over the news, but...you can hear the crickets. If 5 Tea partiers show up it will get national coverage.

RIght now on the livestream is a woman saying that "in the US, a dog has more rights than an immigrant", which translates to giving equal rights to illegal immigrants as citizens. This is nothing more than a leftist radical protest against Capitalism mixed up with some anti-Americanism and demands for socialist democracy.

That is one woman speaking. What the corporate elite have to do with illegal immigrants to me would be cheap labor. That is about it. Cheap labor and votes for whatever party they are interested in. I say, as long as the elitist know that there are forces that can come together in the name to stop their interests, I say it is a good day. Corporate bailouts of CEOs, banks, etc. (if we call that capitalism) and being against that, is as American as it gets. That is not capitalism, that is what we call, BS!!!

I agree with most of what you said except for that^^; I passed high school, I didn't really apply myself in year 12 (or ever, really), I was off partying and getting stoned. I never applied myself because school was pretty dull after I read my first novel a week into prep (I probably didn't understand much, though), thanks to a fantastic mother, philosophy teacher as well as an ever challenging (intellectually) best friend (among other things more recently), my perspective, and critical thinking abilities have been augmented to the point where existential dialectics with people who actually have a BOS are a cakewalk. I'm really not trying to toot my own horn here (honest, I felt the background was necessary) but to suggest that a degree demonstrates a higher level of anything to anyone else, aside from stamina perhaps - is ludicrous.

I have nothing but a year 12 pass, and while I plan on studying chemistry at a tertiary level at some point, I'm more than happy earning $28.60 p/h working for local government. Education should be readily accessible, yes; but I think when our schools become schools as opposed to the citizen factories they are today, a lot of points raised in regards to 'degrees' and things will be fairly moot.. Your education system serves and reflects your current social paradigm, the same as eeeeeeeeverything else.

Of course it is, but who is forcing illegals to come to the States and work for them? I'm sure the illegals are happy to join with Unions because they want higher pay and the same rights here as citizens. International solidarity translates into International unions and workers parties.

There's the problem right there.
Maybe when you decide to do as these people have done and step outside of the mental prison you are in, you can begin to see that the only label which truely fits you is not "conservative" it is "Human".

You see youself as "A conservative" so that is all you will ever be.

"Ohhhh no, I am much more than that" you say.
"I am also a Christian".

Yup, another mind prison.

You are neither "Christian" nor "Conservative".
You are both, THE creation and the creatOR.
You have the ability to see beyond all of this if you should so choose.
But first, you must remove the shackles from your mind.

Truer words are rarely spoken, my brother. Applying absolutist labels to ourselves severely limits one's ability to deal appropriately with the situations that life presents to us. If only you were able to tell this to more dogmatic conservatives. Sometimes the way to deal with something isn't in the rule book that we've been following all along.

the missing secret ingredient is when the leaders stop believing in a higher power (and by higher power, i don't mean bankers or illuminati). if they don't think they are answerable inevitably, they misbehave like the rest of us. they make mistakes. they lie. they steal. they cheat. they exaggerate. etc. when they believe they are answerable to a higher power, they straighten right up and suddenly, you have a much fairer form of government. the mess the world is in, is directly proportionate to the godless world view of the leaders.
