Alas, the "religion of peace" shows its true nature once again.

Except this time no one can blame these actions only on a bunch of radicals or terrorists.

This time it is state sponsored - and state condoned.

Only way to stop all this is to flush out all religions, something like what appears in the Horus Heresy novel series called the Imperial Truth. Base all decisions on logic and science. Leave nothing to superstitions or the divine. Lets face it more harm then good has been completed by religion over the last few thousand years.

I feel like Tiny Tim (not the singer) but the kid from that christmas story.

All I want to say is fight amongst each other all you want.

Point is there is a man who will be executed based solely on his beliefs and to that I want to say GOD BLESS HIM, GOD BLESS ALL WHO ARE BEING HURT AND TORTURED AND WHO SUFFER AND WHO ARE SICK AND BASICALLY "GOD BLESS EVERYONE".

please do not get the image of a flower power hippy on my part, Im far from it, Im a city girl who wishes to live the life of Donna Reed, secure home, happy family, no troubles. That is all, Continue fighting OR stop fighting and join in on praying for the souls of all including in above sentence.

Take Care, I pray for you all to stop this.

With Love,
Wendy.

I think you better get informed as to what happens to 'atheist' countries.

USSR has gone down, China is next. Do not wish that upon yourself.

The Treaty of Tripoli 1796 dispels the idea that the United States government is a Christian entity.

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen,—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

Second of all: has anyone actually proven that God exists yet? At the risk of sounding like a troll; I would think that it's pretty important to establish concrete evidence before one lays down their life for a cause.
I detest violence and don't condone what's happening in Iran but what he's doing is every bit as intelligent as dying for Santa Claus.

i think many of you have got the various islams confused.

shia islam is and always has been a bunch of crazy radicals. they make no bones about that. iran is a mostly shia nation.

most if not all of the ones claiming islam is a religion of peace are sunni. pretty much all of the other islamic nations are sunni.

its kind of like grouping Westboro baptist church with the rest of Christianity....its one small radical faction.

sunni's follow the teachings of Mohammad, and shia's follow the teachings of mohammuds lil homie Ali.

Ali was a crazyassmoflicker. maybe mohammud was too but Ali radicalised way more people.

and stop lumping in islam as an abrahamic religion as if its part of Gods will, they claim their heritage through Ismeal and anybody who's even skimmed through a bible/torah or heard the story of Abraham/Isaac knows that Isaac was the son God promised Abraham.

Ismael was the product of impatience and Abrahams lack of faith. he was the product of a fling abraham had with his handmaiden. God wasnt happy, and made it clear that the son he promised Abraham and his WIFE Sarah, was Isaac. this is the child in whom's offspring would become "his people"

God cannot break a promise, and in this case like many others, had to modify his own gameplan to make up for his childs screwup (Abraham). just because he gave them a nation doesnt mean those are his people. hell he gave the Moabites a nation and they were the offspring of fornication.

because of this Mohammud twisted the story and was able to convince everybody that somehow ismael was the real son in whom's offspring would become Gods people through Abraham. How do they get around the blatant statements of God claiming otherwise? well they claim that "over the many years" all of the writings in the Bible/Torah have been corrupted (by the jews) and that the real story goes their way.

i guess anybody could make the same claim and easily negate the entire book.

as if their passing the story down orally over the years is free of distortion

oh please, why all this religious nonsense? It is all so much rubbish and has no meaning at all. There is no god (or satan, or heaven, or hell, or even fairies at the bottom of my garden). And I have my doubts about the little green men from Mars. When will the human race actually GROW UP?

I think we and the world has the right to expose the Middle Eastern crimes against humanity because no one is able to and the ones that do are killed off in the process.

We are told how immoral we are in the west because the media puts shame on the acts we do, so if the same exposure was in the same standards they too could look in the mirror and think how wrong they are. Now they have they have rebelled and want freedoms but the cost of this rebellion is also a climate for a more severe ideology to take control which will bring more harm. Revolutions in Iran and Iraq in recent history only bought rise to dictators and extermination of the opposite party.

The Middle East is playing a hostage of fear on its people; every move people make can result in death and dishonour. It sees itself as the perfect way of life by their prophet's standards while it teaches our Christian and Jewish message as being false so that all other religions in their mindset is always seen as apostate or corrupt when in fact it is the apostate religion that took from the Jews and Christians verses and made it their own in their control and conquest of the Jewish Covenant lands over history.

The standard of morality it seems in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan is the same climate as where the Jews put Christ on the cross for Blasphemy 2011 years ago and they are not even Jews they are Arabic in culture pretending to be Jews of God's covenant which makes the whole idea even more absurd in the face of religion itself.

I keep hearing on ATS there is no proof Jews are Jewish, how do we know Arabs are Arabs maybe they are black or Russian or something and its all wrong. We know from Bible prophecy that the Jews will one day return to Israel their covenant land with God because they will be driven out from the four corners of the earth, this includes, Europe and the Middle Eastern countries in which they were forced out of, no other tribe or people were forced out and this pressure made Israel becme a nation.
On the other hand we know that Sarah from the Bible who was Abraham's wife drove Ishmael and Helga away into the dessert because he was always mocking their age and was jealous of Isaac, Ishmael the descendent of the Arabs, half Jewish half Egyptian, you can even see it in the Arab women the same Egyptian eyes as their ancestors if anything to go by and they are still isolated by the world to the dessert heat, if not that they keep their own captives there by this faith and tradition.

Which in theory suggests Abraham line was nearer to white like the Jews today, of course different tribes meant different gene pools but the same purer lines meant this one was kept pure for a reason and that maybe holding the key to all the races of the world we have today from Adam.

This spiritual history will bring hostility and wars that end all wars and make God angry with his own judgements but Islamic prophecy predicts its own version of god which will eliminate the Jews and the Cross of Christ which translates to the anti-Christ's ideology of the end times in Christianity. While in both sides of Atheism and Islam and other religious Cults which deny the deity of Christ and his message of love for us is turned to myth along with mankind who cursing his good message for us, bringing a climate that suites man to become deceived in the end times.

Some people just can't wait to play the martyr. Here's a suggestion. Go ahead and recant Christianity, but secretly keep praying to Jesus in your mind. That'll show 'em!

Religion is a poor indicator of the morality of a human being.

Immoral humans come in all faiths, shapes and economic packages!

So...do you support people being executed for believing in something that you don't believe in or...?

You are responding to the OP - who was showing that someone is being executed for their Christian faith. Does the human race's need to "GROW UP" include executing people with different faiths than you. I am a Christian who does not believe in hell or the fairies in your garden. I also don't believe satan is the red guy with the horns that you see in the books either, but I don't think anyone should be executed for having beliefs that I don't agree with...actually, I don't believe anyone should be executed for any reason whatsoever.

Sheesh. Yelling at people who believe differently than you to "GROW UP". The irony...

That is very true. I don't have any problem with religion. Just as long as it's not forced upon me. Religion can a very bad thing, but it can be good as well. I am a Christian, and I believe that if I go out and kill someone, I will eventually have to answer for it. So in turn, it can be a good deterrent in preventing horrible things from taking place. A lot of horrible things have happened in the past, and unfortunately, we cannot go back in time and make all the wrongs right. All that matters is today and tomorrow. Christianity has changed a great deal compared to what it once like a so so many years ago. Especially here in the United states. Islam on the other hand, has changed very little. Their judicial system is as brutal as it was thousands of years ago!

I don't understand how ANYONE could defend this type of action from the legal system of ANY country. Christianity may have a bloody past, but in the "civilized" world, Islam is definitely responsible for the majority of modern "conflicts," including this one.

How can ANYONE tell another person what they are supposed to believe? I am grateful that the forefathers of the US were intelligent enough to implement a separation of church and state, at least enough so that no one can be legally prosecuted for their religious beliefs.

This is a human rights abuse, and I would love to see the UN or some other group step in. If America's policy of establishing their form of "democracy," and stopping abuses to citizens consisted of purely that, with just those intentions, instead of oil, etc, then I would totally support an invasion of this country...Or a coup to establish a MODERN government. But other countries' governments will never act purely on moral grounds, unless they are handy at the time, to feed to the public.

Fox news isn't a reliable source to start with. Plus in Iran their laws are mostly towards Islam. I don't know if you didn't notice but they are a different country and not the U.S I hear you do have freedom of religion in those countries just that you still have to follow their laws and their laws mostly come from Islam. Just like the laws of the U.S some debates that the laws came from Christianity... in some cases since some say U.S is a christian state. other say it's a free mason state.

The Irony is that we founded the U.S to get away from the british for not having much freedom and fleeing from their taxes. They had a tax system back then too. Yet, look at the U.S today we are trying to find more ways to invent new taxes and raise taxes at the same time. hmmm...

I don't know if the story above is 100% true or 50% true meaning yes there is such a case but the punishments that Iran wants might be fibs.. from foxnews... I don't know if it's a political stunt against Iran. Like I said Foxnews isn't news worthy stories... they are used for political reasons. So they want you to hate on whoever they hate... or don't give them a nice big paycheck.

Well, the guy who might be killed thinks he's going to eternal Disneyland. I'm sure he thinks death is his reward and the start of life.

well our for fathers... weren't really religious. They mostly liked logic. That is why they separate the state from the church. It's very smart but they never wanted the U.S to be how it's like today. Like taxing lots of people and big government. Regulate everything... that is why they say give me liberty or give me death. I rather be free the live in a none free world... so he is just saying kill me if I can't have my freedom. Today the U.S is turning into a police state and capitalism isn't our economy no more it's corporatism. Which our Government favors big corporations.

If this is true 100%. I don't support what Iran is doing. I don' t think people should die because the country believes in something else. This makes no sense and plus if this was how every country ran... you won't see technology advanced to what it has been today.

You will always find someone that you don't agree with or like due to their views and opinions. but to kill him or throw him out of your country is stupid and will make your country never think outside the box.

How Do you Think the U.S got to where they are at today? They allow anyone from any country to come over here and even talked about their believes or theories openly.... well in law and theory... I don't think it's like that in real life... lots of ignorant people walking in the U.S that want to attack people they don't like or don't agree about their religion or beliefs even though they don't know what exactly they believe in the first place.

We had a christian pastor... come to our area.. he is like from 4 or 5 states away. Flew to our area since our area has high populations of Muslims. He came here to tell us to not Kill freedom and america... and don't be terrorists...

I mean he is an idiot at the start. He got arrested since he told the city to go f$#$# yourself I don't need a permit to protest. He did finally get his protest... but he at the time he was denied to protests at the location he wanted too... the city didn't allow due to heavy traffic for the local christian churches since it was a friday and it was Easter. Those pastors for those churches written letters to the city mayor to not let the man do his protest on such a day. It will disturb their operations.

yet, the guy been on the local news and explained why he was there.. they let an imam and another pastor talk. The imam and the pastor both agreed this christian pastor is crazy.... mad and stupid. It's the same guy that burned the koran at new york.

So there are still ignorant people. When he was on the local news he admitted that he didn't read the koran. So my point is... why hate someones religion if you don't research it yourself. Just because someone rants some ignorant theory about the religion... dosen't mean it's true.

The only thing I do see is that there are many Americans still in the U.S that stood up against that pastor and said that what he did was wrong.. I am sure not everyone that stood against him do like Islam... but they believe in the constitution that everyone should be allowed to practice their own religion.

I just hope people don't look at this article and say hmm.. there you got Muslims are out for blood.

Wow, there's all this thread over fairy tales? All he had to do was play another game of pretend.

I visited an AA meeting with a "recovering alcoholic" who was forced to go by our government which is supposed to be separate from the church. After the end prayer, which I sat out of, a guy pointed at me and said, "Look at that atheist just sitting over there laughing at us." I wasn't laughing. If religion is being more than a non-event, then it's a sad affair. I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness. Just let it go people. It's really not conducive to a healthy planet.

Nice to hear from someone that knows everything.
Forced by the government or choosen by the guilty to stay out of jail?

You know what is funny is both religions are religions of Abraham based off of his teachings...

Clearly people misinterpreting these teachings and using them for their own gain is the problem

As you said... State sponsored.

So, don't blame the religion. Blame the people who are twisting it's words to fit their own agenda.
