I disagree. What bible would you be referring to? There are many different Christian bibles. Also the Hebrew bible and Quran. You can argue all day your views are correct over the other but no one is correct.

I haven't read most of this thread so forgive me if I repeat anything already posted.

I really can't believe that anyone with half a brain and access to the internet and MSM still believes in the christian idea of God. Isn't it clear that all christianty (and any other religion) has done is divide the world. We should all be believing whatever the hell we want to believe without christianity been forced down our throats at every turn, you guys are worse than the god dam hare krishnas lately. God has never done a single thing to make me want to believe in him. I was a christian by force throughout my entire childhood, and all I saw at church was internal politics and gossip mongerers. No Miracles, no wonderful enlightening moments, just the same old crap every sunday.

I'm not Saying that their aren't good ideals to live your life by in the bible, but it reads like a horror novel. I have always felt that a god that rules with fear is not worth the time and effort. The only God I believe in is the human race.

Stop waiting for some fictitious character from an out of date book to come save you. Save yourself.

So wait, you're saying that a new age meditation practice led you to Christianity? Thats a bit of a spiritual paradox for me.

If it helps, I went the other way, from 20 years of devout Christianity to an open mind, seeing that all religions are pointing people toward the same spiritual truths, but the message has been completely ruined by 'religion' and those thirsty for power and control.

Besides this spirit guide experience, what piece of evidence was the tipping point for you to change your beliefs? Just curious.

I believe my computer is god, It gives me everything, women, entertainment, music for my sleep, and even deliver food and i can actually touch to make sure its real.

I was somewhat Atheist, never believed in god but do believe in body energy, mental focus,meditation etc, Ever since i started spending time on ATS, everytime i see a god/religion post, i automatically think the OP is either brainwashed or just not smart enough to see the truth

Its like in 3,000 yrs after humanity wipe it self with nuclear weapons or something even worse, along with natural disasters, someone finds the statue of Liberty and start believing that it is god, the rich and the greedy would exploit to control people and the cycle continues.

Need some sort of evidence to say god exist, otherwise i would believe what i always believed in, God/Religion used to control people back in the days, now it is just a shell with nothing inside and empty beliefs.

When I was into metaphysics, I had spoken to a spirit guide who told me a spirit of a passed family member was telling me to follow catholicism. He said it was my grandmother. I figured out that Her religion was catholic, she was a very good woman. So i figured she was speaking to me directly from heaven.

There are also RATIONAL (this not being quite identical with deductive logical) approaches to metaphysics, such as philosophy and theology, where the use and subjective interpretation of ouija-boards isn't used for presenting 'universal truths'.
