I'm 41 and I saw people my age, grandmothers(grannie for peace I think they were called) and hundreds of americans of all kinds there. now, if you're on ATS, you probably know that the REAL problem isn't the wall street people. they're essentially bottom-feeders to TPTB(albeit rather wealthy bottom-feeders). but these protesters won't get far screaming about the illuminati/bilderbergs/trilateral commission because people don't understand that. They DO understand that wall street got bailed out, while we the people got sold out(that was one of the slogans). people have to start somewhere. they started here. and they're doing a lot more for our democracy than some of you sitting up here sniping at them from behind your computer screen. just sayin'

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S SANE AND RATIONAL this isn't about the protest being invalid!!!!!!!!!! it's about going after the cop's info, posting it publically in the context of revenge, thereby abusing his entire family and putting them all at risk for reprisals.

stop with the strawmen already

it was not off topic. it's to show you that although you may not agree with someone, it doesn't mean you should call their relatives and abuse them for days or even months on end.

I understand that it's not cool to harass innocent people. I get it. You're not reading what I'm saying.

I'm just going to copy and paste my last reply.

"When you do harm to people, there is always a chance you are putting your loved ones in harms way. That is human behavior. That is reality. There is wack all you can do to avoid that fact.
So the lesson that should be learned here is to treat people with dignity and respect, love one another, and help each other. Only until then, stupid bull[SNIP] will continue on... "

Sucks for the family, but that's reality. You can only try to change the world by doing good, and hope that you influence people in a positive manner...

misdirection and a strawman. no i don't want people calling me on my phone repeatedly, once i tell them not to anymore. if they do anyway, that's abusive.

and that's pretty logical and has nothing to do with this guy's family being abused to get revenge on the guy! admit how bad of an idea that is or i'm not gonna shut up. i have a family. i'm a mom. you hurt my family, i'm gonna find out why. if you hurt my family because of me, i'm gonna call ya on it. cause their names look nothig like mine. we don't even agree on everything. we have to take turns using the bathroom. ya know, SEPARATE INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR OWN BRAINS.

so, they abused your telephone number, your request to cease and your harmony ... what did you DO about it??? nothing?

why should anything be done to anyone who might call the officers' listed number?
if it didn't bother you enough to DO anything, why should we be concerned in this instance?

again with the family getting abused ... fallacy, fantasy and fear-monger much?
but don't forget, the family of every innocent person arrested suffers, why shouldn't his?

if i were the family, i'd be more concerned about folk like you being 'concerned' ... really.
it is NONE of your business, is it?
His (officer) information is public, he is a public servant, he made a horrible decision and there will be consequences. why is that so difficult for you to understand?
perhaps He (officer) should have considered the consequences before he armed himself with mace and assaulted an innocent and disabled (deaf) person. (as another poster indicated)

big deal you're a mom, i'm a generation ahead of you, i'm a grandma ... you're point?
public information IS public information ... get that through your thick, separate, individual brain and we won't disagree at all.

no, i don't do harm to people. i play video games that contain violence, but i know how to separate video games from reality. if i say i disagree with you, that is not harming you. if i say i disagree with you and your relatives should be harassed because of it, that's bad. if you hit me, i don't take your kids to court, although they may suffer financial hardship if i win the case and earn part of your pay in recovery, they will eventually be able to work their own jobs and make their own money which i can't touch with a ten foot pole, cause it ain't yours. that's because we are individuals. living in the same house does not equal, guilt but it also should be off limits.

you start demanding spouses turn on one another, this thing will hit the fan in earnest.

i wasn't the one who mentioned karma but if you're gonna go there with me, i would suggest your cancer was more related to karma than the persistent phone calls.
this is just another mistaken "perception" on your part.

the ONLY strawman argument in this thread is the one you're presenting ... vigilante-ism.
if anyone wanted to harm someone, they certainly wouldn't need Anon to identify them

they would simply follow the public information trail already existing.

So its perfectly fine for wall street fat cats and corporations to rob the economy,
And its perfectly fine for their nypd lapdogs to mace girls.

And expect not to be retaliated against? Just another family lost in the fray of what is happening to america right now. Families are going hungry on a daily basis, children are losing their homes because their parents can no longer afford to keep that roof. There are millions of EMPTY houses in america. So one family in danger, is really not a huge deal. 1 out of ever 2 children is going to go hungry today, Guess whos fault it is? I suggest going out and joining the protest.

If you think this is going away, you're going to be sorely mistaken. This has already spread across the country, and it is only going to get bigger.

And a lot of the general populace does agree with what these people stands for (They're not just kids, they range from 15 - 80, at least). We have military vets in there, students, mothers, fathers. Dont delude yourself to think this is a bunch of kids. Sorry if im repeating some things from pages ago, im only hopping in now and im not reading 13 pages since im at work. But there are legit problems with the world, and at least someone is doing something about it.

They have people walking along the street going to work that talk to them, and SUPPORT them, and they only are not there because currently, they still need to support their families. Thats why its always the young that seem to cause change, because their elders have commitments.

Anyways. Move along.

note: Also, going from several hundred in a march, to several thousand in a march in under a week, is pretty good. And the more people wake up, the more people will join. The revolution has begun, and if this goes nowhere, it reminds people that THEY can change things if they take action.

It will not be in vain.

has he been arrested? if you can't see the difference there, then we might as well all go out now and start exacting our own forms of justice!

ya know how i got the cancer? gulf war syndrome is contagious. you don't have to be a military member to get it. and it attacks all your body organs via your neurons, in my case, it signalled my pituaitary gland to estrogen overload. i ended up with estrogen based breast cancer. but 5 years before that, it put me in a hospital in a coma on total life support. and before it did that, it drove me slowly insane. karma? FOR WHAT? so i can be blamed for stuff i never did! that's why. so i can be blamed for places i never went, in a time when i never lived, to people i never knew.

that officer put his family at risk because of his behavior. those women were no threat; he just wanted to show them how big his dick was. the DOX they dropped on him was payback, sure..good on anon. too many people get away with too much dirty # without retaliation. maybe he'll learn a lesson?

I love Anon, but god their slogan is garbage

They are anonymous,
They are 16 year olds
they do not forgive their parents for turning off their WoW accounts,
they do not forget to try proactive for their acne issues,
expect them to get busted for DDoS
edit on 9/26/2011 by mudbeed because: (no reason given)
anon has been around for almost a decade now. So you saying they were 6? Well then, seems if a 6 to 16 year old can make a difference, why not you?

i see no difference.
an offender is an offender.
persons arrested are OFTEN innocent ... this douche-bag, not so much.
Innocent persons arrested for ANY crime suffer as well as their entire family (and extended family in some cases)

cops witnessed breaking the law ... as you state ... aren't EVEN arrested.
so where is the justice for the victims ?? and their families?

don't you think the deaf, injured woman will have subsequent trauma with which to cope?
why shouldn't the cop?, he did the damage, unjustly.
how, in any frame of compensation, does or will the officer comply?
**** if there are medical bills, we pay (taxpayers)
**** if there is a lawsuit, we pay (taxpayers)
**** if there is retaliation, we pay double ... + repairs (taxpayers + construction 'fees')
**** why are WE held responsible for HIS STUPID ACTS ???

certainly, someone OTHER THAN US, deserves to provide compensation for the unjust behavior he displayed.

I find the "we are legion" the most embarassing part. I think it's from star trek. It really sounds childish. In german it got exchanged for "we are many".

But then i don't like the whole construct of the slogan. Just too much bragging and too nerdy.

Ok, we are not seeing eye to eye here.
I never said YOU were doing harm, and especially to me. lol. Com'on, I'm not sensitive. Thanks to surfing the net since I was 13, and working in kitchens for 8 years, I'v developed crocodile skin. haha.. . I have a pretty crude and vulgar sense of humor, and there really isn't much that really offends me..

The point I'm trying to make, and I'm really don't know how else to do it now, but continue to repeat myself.

I understand everyone thinks to very horrible that this officers info and family's info is in unknown peoples hands.
I get that part.
That sucks.

BUT!!!!
BUT! BUT!BUT!!!!....

.... If this officer wasn't an out of control, power abuser, and can even be consider sadistic, simply did his job *protect the people* and just handcuffed the girls, and threw em in the conner with the rest... None of this would have happened... That's the lesson. Treat people with respect and you will be much better off. when you don't, don't go whining and crying to people about injustice to you and your family. Sorry, but the only one to blame here the the guy who caused all the distress to begin with.

Anon threatening to overload em with pizzas IS NOT a serious issue.... Cops macing trapped, defenseless hippy girls is a serious issue. Reap what you sow.

"Respect existence, or expect resistance."

That is all.

peace.

well ok, you get a pass on Karma cause you clearly don't know what it is.
if this is your only pass through this world, karma can't touch you ... if you don't believe you've harmed others in a previous life, you have no karmic concerns.

as for your cancer, glad you're in recovery.
not touching the GW reference cause from the medical studies i've read, it's being attributed to a bacterium.
however, your resentment shines brightly ... perhaps that is influencing your opinion regarding 'collateral damage'.

i was stalked in real life, years ago. someone stole all my black lingerie out of my house and it wasn't my husband. it was a very bad stalking. it was not fun, in fact, it was scary as hell.. when i hear about anon's activity, it reminds me of stalkers. i freak out when i see it because i recognize the tactics.
i will never be stalked again without people hearing a great deal of freaking out griping. not scared griping, freaking out angry griping.

That's funny because a few pages ago you called them dumb hippies. You assumed that they all had rich daddies that would fix their problems. Your all over the place man! You say you are all for protesting; just don't get in the way of people on their way to work. You began putting others down that don't have the same ideals as you, but then you say you support them. I feel sad for you. Your arguments are pathetic and you only care to draw attention to yourself at times, posting videos of the type of work you do and telling others who have spent time researching that they are wrong. Anon said nothing about using the cops information for harm; that was an idea that you came to on your own. I wish you the best on your journey to finding true happiness. Your negativity is holding you back brother.

Like it'd be so hard to figure out where that cop lived anyway. I'd just google his name and check it out, not that hard. Long as no one innocent gets hurt which highly doubtfully would happen anyway- someone just needs to mace that cop.
