They posted the information with the intent to harass him and his family. I don't think that public servants should be bullied into getting new jobs. Let's flip this a second. You work at a grocery store. A customer calls you a dirty name, you call the customer something. Another customer posts you information online with instructions on how to harass your family. Should you have to get a new job?

Yeah, I know this was pages back, but I just have to say how awful of an analogy that was.
Obviously you would have been fired on the spot if you start lipping back the customer... And this is the internet, if someone hates you enough, then yeah people can so easily post # about you to humiliate you...
Lesson? Don't be a douche, and you wont have anything to worry about. Act like a douche, well then it's free game.
Sorry if your family gets caught in the crossfire, maybe you should have thought about them before acting like a power tripping asshole??
Besides, I highly doubt ANY harm is going to happen to this pricks family... seriously meow, in fact Im willing to bet money that the worst to happen to them will be some annoying prank phone calls.... OH NOSE!!! NOT ANNOYING PHONE CALLS!!!!

Maybe these girls weren't "obeying direct order to move" but Baloney did NOT need to mace them point blank.
They were a handful of skinny hippy chicks. The cops couldn't have just cuffed them and sat them down with the rest of PEACEFUL protesters??? The mace thing was abuse of power. Straight up. I don't see how anyone can not see that and agree that was excessive force??? Unless you're on "their" side....

Also, this is just feeding the fire. Do the cops want violence to erupt?? *My guess is yes* If they continue to do [SNIP] like this it will...
There is NO NEED for mace, water canons, bean bags, rubber bullets for a bunch of hippies...
Until violence breaks out, and riots happen, excessive force is unacceptable. Period.

Hey guys, just saw this thread.. I say finally!!! Cops are only this violent because no one recognizes them, because they think they are safe, and because they believe they have been given the right to hurt innocent people. But that is NOT their job. Their job is to protect human life - end of story. If releasing their personal info on the web is what's gonna take to make them realize their job description, then that's what we have to do. If nobody else stands for us, then we have to stand for ourselves. Great thread, S&F!

Read the freaking thread. Almost every issue you have was addressed by me in the first 5 pages. You may be surprised to find that we probably agree. Reading comprehension and a bit of patience go along way.

it's providing it under the context of revenge for an inappropriate action

you perceiving it as such doesn't make it so.

i have been on the wrong end of that separation gig too many times ... it's a bunch of hooooey.
degrees of separation only show that we are all closer than we think so what gives this offender any more right to anything more than any other offender?

the blue line doesn't do it for me. they are humans, they are public servants, they screw up, they suffer consequences and they should be dang thankful it isn't the public administering such consequences instead of whining about what might happen.

what DID happen is what matters here.

quit erecting strawmen! the issue here is long past the guy doing the wrong thing. everyone in this thread is on the same page in that regard. we all agree. that was excessive, unwarranted force. what we don't apparently agree on , and this is the point that keeps getting strawmen erected to divert the issue, is that it is now being "validated" usage to bring unwarranted reprisals to the guy's family.

tell ya what, when i was going thru chemotherapy, i would get 50 calls a day from people wanting us to take out one of those cheapo quick expiring low interest mortages on our home. after a month of this, i finally started telling them "Hey listen, i'm recovering from breast cancer surgery and i'm currently undergoing chemotherapy. the meds they have me on are making me extremely high strung and i'm in alot of pain. please stop calling me." the next day, i'd get 50 more calls. i'd be in tears, hurl the phone across the room, unplug it from the wall. and plug it back in the next day. same thing again. your phone is a mouth and an ear in your house. people should not abuse it.

and do you know how to deal with such annoyances ???
you call a magic number and have your 'personal information' removed from their list !!!!

you aren't complaining about how they acquired your 'private' information, so what's the dealio?
you were obviously 'bothered or annoyed' by the intrusion, but you certainly aren't calling them criminal, are you?
does that coin you're flipping look the same on both sides?

Interview With Young Woman Who Was Maced

She is the one that got maced. She is not being a little punk about it. She has moxy, she has gumption. I believe her when she said she cared for the cops. THIS is a REAL WOMAN. THIS IS A REAL PATRIOT. She wants what is right. She doesn't complain. She will be back again. I guarantee if she knew people were posting that cops family info she would be furious. I was completely wrong about her. That young woman is gorgeous, in more ways than one.

more strawmen. this was before the magic number. in fact, i endured an entire year of that before enough people complained to get the magic number in the first place.

see this is the kinda thing that bugs me. i was abused by heartless people calling me relentlessly so they could get enough people in their hopeless trash mortgage program and crash the economy. which instead of crashing the economy ended up getting alot of people's houses stolen right out from under them. and it was the same companies too, day in and day out. 50 times a day, up to 10 pm in the evening, 7 days a week including holidays.

sorry but nowhere on my karma sheet does it say i deserved that #.

This isn't the first time that Anonymous has scrounged up the dox for someone who does something that is outrageous. Remember the dog poop on the subway, lol? I highly doubt anyone will attempt to physically harm the officer, but you can bet life will be made difficult for him in more than one manner. I mean come on, one of those women were DEAF.

After watching the video of what he did I was literally in shock...the brazen foolishness of an officer who has 30 years worth of experience in the field is just incredibly moronic. The police only gave on statement to my knowledge, in which they said the pepper spray was used appropriately.

I would like to know WHY that was a proper procedural action. What makes it worse is that they already had them PENNED-UP like CATTLE!!! It's like kicking someone who is already on the ground. Pathetic and despicable. Going by firsthand accounts from witnesses, the other police officers who were ordered to encircle the protestors with the orange netting were clearly disturbed by what they had just witnessed.

Even if they were though, why didn't the police help her? THAT was the second atrocity committed by the officers on that occasion. It was bystanders who, when finally allowed in to help the lady, washed her eyes out with milk. She was DEAF, I mean holy crap.

Then the cops proceeded to start arresting anyone on the streets, and it is claimed that the woman still couldn't see, so they led her into a movie theater to stay away from the police as to not get arrested. What I want to know is why protests always end this way? Even peaceful protests? Isn't this America? We continue to lose more rights everyday, as more and more people choose to sit on their butts and take it. People are apt to suffer injustices so long as the injustices are tolerable, paraphrasing Jefferson, and it is the SAD truth. But, what's even sadder is that these same people still think they have more rights than anyone in any other country. It is laughable to be honest.

please take note of this ^ man's post. in other words, anon is like the new kgb, and we should all proceed to turn each other in to the gestapo at the kremlin or face having our phone called relentlessly, our computer's hacked, our websites hacked, our lives handed back to us in little brown baggies once we agree not to say anything else in descent, stamped "approved by anonymous....for now"

bunch of darth vaders in the making.

you know what really ticks me off? i was completely capable of behaving myself before the new babysitters showed up. now they keep pushing my buttons with their idea of justice. don't worry. anon wouldn't allow this to get so out of hand that innocent people start getting hurt... now it's don't worry, those people weren't innocent anyway.

they are everywhereeeee. spoooooks. tigers and lions and beaaaaaaaars. and they hate us.
and will never forgive us. so what the hell are we behaving ourselves anonymous style for, if we're all doomed already? that's where it's heading. hope that guy's family understands what this means.

lol I did read the thread.. Killed a good hour and a half thanks...well read up to page 10, where I checked to see how far the numbers went and was at 13 sooooooo.....

Sorry, my entire reply wasn't directed at you, just the quote of the customer stuff.. That was the only one of your replies that caught my attention enough to respond.
Some times things get blurred when you aren't talking to people face to face haha.

The rest was just me spewing my opinion on the matter after reading a couple different sites, and the replies here...and the topic seems to still be pity for the cop and his family.
Again, sorry for the family, but that's what happens. Reaction to your actions.
Sucks other people get caught in the crossfire, but that's how it goes sometimes.
I choose to live a passive life, helping anyone I can when they need it, having fun and loving it. You never know what could come to you when you do someone else harm. There are some serious messed up people, that yeah, could take matters too far. If you think you're invincible then you will fall, and you have the possibilty of hurting the ones you love.
If his family is that afraid, they can publicly come out and condemn his actions, and even tell him what he did was wrong. That's the solution I see there...
Give a good warning to the rest of the force that this kind of behavior will no longer be tolerated by the people.
Though again, they're gonna be fine. It's just being blown outta proportion...

i'll say it slowly.

me (undo), domo1, and pretty much every poster in this thread agrees that the police officer was out of line, used inappropriate violent action in the situation. the issue is anon's decision to release this guy's info in the context of seeking revenge, inappropriatrely endangering his entire family. because he deserves it and so does his family.. ya know, to teach him a lesson.

yes, LADIES and GENTLEMEN of the USA, anon hates everybody but will let some of ya alone, as long as you don't do anything to piss any of them off. good luck with that.

you can call it whatever you like but English is preferred.
your perception doesn't make it fact.

so, you're OK with a company of whom you've never heard or conducted business, calling you (annoying you) on your 'private' line and are willing to 'put up with it' ... at least that's what was said.

BUT ... taxpayers who pay for this offender in every aspect of his life don't deserve to know or access public information ?? The same public information that was sold to the company exampled above.

interesting rationale you've developed.
guess maybe you'd be the one we would have to remove the telephone from cause you just aren't responsible enough to handle the privilege, right?

misdirection and a strawman. no i don't want people calling me on my phone repeatedly, once i tell them not to anymore. if they do anyway, that's abusive.

and that's pretty logical and has nothing to do with this guy's family being abused to get revenge on the guy! admit how bad of an idea that is or i'm not gonna shut up. i have a family. i'm a mom. you hurt my family, i'm gonna find out why. if you hurt my family because of me, i'm gonna call ya on it. cause their names look nothig like mine. we don't even agree on everything. we have to take turns using the bathroom. ya know, SEPARATE INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR OWN BRAINS.

I was at that protest, witnessed the beatings and maceings first hand..I'm not a 20-something college kid. I'm 41 and I saw people my age, grandmothers(grannie for peace I think they were called) and hundreds of americans of all kinds there. now, if you're on ATS, you probably know that the REAL problem isn't the wall street people. they're essentially bottom-feeders to TPTB(albeit rather wealthy bottom-feeders). but these protesters won't get far screaming about the illuminati/bilderbergs/trilateral commission because people don't understand that. They DO understand that wall street got bailed out, while we the people got sold out(that was one of the slogans). people have to start somewhere. they started here. and they're doing a lot more for our democracy than some of you sitting up here sniping at them from behind your computer screen. just sayin'

lol!! No, I understood what you were saying, "strawman! strawman! strawman!" then a long and completely offtopic response about cancer and telemarketers...

My response to Anon, and has been in my posts, is that's the reaction to that cops action.
I'm not saying I agree. I stand neutral, what I'm saying is...

and I'll say it slowly too;

When you do harm to people, there is always a chance you are putting your loved ones in harms way. That is human behavior. That is reality. There is wack all you can do to avoid that fact.
So the lesson that should be learned here is to treat people with dignity and respect, love one another, and help each other. Only until then, stupid bulls*** will continue on...
Are you really afraid of Anon?? They are just a humorous thorn in the side of the government... There are way more frighting groups of people and ideologies that exist then them...

Are we now on the same page? Or we gonna continue to banter in circles?
