UARS, signed, sealed 'returned to owner????', well at least we are told that this is now history.
Fine, but how about this;

www.newscientist.com...

ROSAT - Said by NASA - to be coming home, so to speak, next month However it not yet on the list as Germany says it cannot - as yet - define the true date of expected arrival. So could such be part of the present debate???? or just how much 'Junk' is heading this way, but said experts prefer to say nothing until it really happens..
what a wonderful world.

There was an interesting thread about September 26-27. There was also a Timewave Zero Thread about Sept 26th.

There's something very suspect about this story. I used Google to translate the whole article and it's full of contradictions. Take note of the parts in bold.

One woman died and six others were injured in the incident. A neighbor said the outbreak was caused by a burning object that fell from the sky and completely destroyed a house and several cars. "It was a tremor," he said. Are the causes of the accident.

The incident occurred minutes before 2 am, in a building located on the intersection of Luis Vernet and Los Andes, a town of Monte Grande, of Esteban Echeverría. The causes of the explosion are still unknown, but locals say they witnessed the fact that "a ball of fire fell from heaven." "He began to feel much smell like gunpowder," recalled one person who lives in the area told C5N. "There is no explanation for what happened," said Cayetano, a local resident, told Radio 10, then adding, "a neighbor ran because he saw a fireball falling blue." The commander of the local fire department, Guillermo Pérez, remarked that still do not know the cause of the incident, but acknowledged that the first version is aimed at an "object that fell from heaven." "I heard that version, but I can not say at first. Must be bound to expertise to really see what happened, "he said in a statement to Radio 10. Perez confirmed that two trade houses and" were completely destroyed. "In fact, a woman who was trapped under the rubble lost life while six others were rescued and were taken for care at a local hospital, told C5N firefighters who work on site. The victim is one of the people who lived in the building where the explosion was generated. As the injured, three belong to that house and three adjoining the house, hit by the blast. All the injured were out of danger, said C5N. According to the story of neighbors, the outbreak was felt even in adjoining towns like Ezeiza and Temperley, south of Buenos Aires.
And now we are hearing reports that the guy with an image of the "fireball" is actually a hoaxer? This is already one huge tangled web of disinformation...

This is crazy, I feel like this should of been on the news or something. How can something unexplained like that happen and kill someone and it's just a random article on the internet?! And all the videos and other situations that were kind of the same just add more question to how little it is mentioned?? Is this some sort of new phenomena??

It has been on the news here in Argentina all day. Other posters have said that it was mentioned on the news in other countries too. But as people are now starting to go with the semi-official story of the gas explosion...

There have already been shows where the people who suggested the meteorite possibility have been discredited, and we know that the young man who presented a picture was arrested for false testimony after admitting he was lying.

There's not much that we can do. Other than try to gather all the information available, but if someone's trying to cover things up then I'm afraid we won't find much and all this will be buried under the "Gas leak" category and that will be the end of it.

Yep. All eyewitnesses of the fireball are liars, the dude who took a pic is a hoaxer, the firefighter in the video who said it was no gas leaking explosion is wrong, the Argentina Defense Minister, who went to the explosion area, was just being sympathetic, the guys wearing hazmat suits and carrying radiation detectors were amateurs and everything is perfectly explained. Case solved.

It's a cover up (Im from Argentina) and here the news are saying about some gas leak that lead to an explotion. On tv and most of websites over here.
The other side of this version that in Echeverria ONE guy saw this ball coming straight to them, too many versions of the same but the media here are labeling this *incident* like a gas leak that caused an explotion.

Cheers.

All eyewitnesses of the fireball are liars, the dude who took a pic is a hoaxer, the firefighter in the video who said it was no gas leaking explosion is wrong
After doing some more research I can be fairly sure this wasn't caused by a gas leak. Here are some more sources I've found in the last 10 minutes:

www.clarin.com...
www.lavoz.com.ar...
blogs.discovermagazine.com...

The first two aren't in English so you need to translate them. The 3rd one is a discover mag article in their bad astronomy section. They claim "It looks like the cause of this was a gas bottle exploding, and not a meteorite" but lets have a look at what the other two articles have to say.

The neighbors who were awakened at 2:10 by a loud roar, agreed to testify that they saw "a blue ball that fell from heaven" before the blast at the corner of the Andes and Luis Vernet.
---
However, Casal, earlier, had said that "not" rule out "anything" after the possibility that the incident has been caused by a phenomenon aerospace, adding that "there was no subsequent fire and the bottles that were in place not explode. "
---
Security Minister Buenos Aires, Ricardo Casal, said "we have to wait several hours" to know what happened. "Do not rule out anything, all versions are possible, the shock wave is strong and the bottles did not explode."

Here you can clearly see that these gas bottles have been removed from the rubble unharmed:

Love how on the news here they said that a gas leak or gas incident had been ruled out.

I guessn thats how the world works now. Give 2 stories and you please everyone!

A translation done by me of the second site *la voz del interior*

Here they are saying about the theory of the fragment of a meteorite o some spatial debri. But this version lose credibility when they founded a gas tank of 45 kilos with a poor and bad connection to an oven. the guy that saw all of this *the other version* was detained under false testimony, he *uplodaded* some images of an *element* of red color crossing the firmament.
------------------------

So in short therms they are still labeling the version of the explotion with a poor conection to an oven...
When the guy that saw the *red ball falling from the sky* was declared as false testimony and maybe he will face some charges.
