That's not my video, but here is another. This is from STS-126 launched November 14, 2008. It's not as good as an example as the one posted by 'gift0fpr0phecy'. I'll look for other videos, but for now this will do. At the 5:20 mark you can see the solid booster separation that looks similar to the OP's video:

No -- I definitely mean launch. That's when they use the solid rocket boosters. Besides, the shuttle is a glider when it lands -- there are no engines used at all as it's flying through the atmosphere for a landing.

And rockets do NOT go straight up. If they did, then they would come straight down and crash.

They may begin straight up when they launch, but they quickly turn more sideways as they head downrange. That sideways motion is REQUIRED to achieve orbit. That's what keeps it in orbit -- the fact that while in orbit it is moving generally sideways (i.e., parallel to the ground) at 17,000 mph.

A rocket that goes straight up would not be able to achieve orbit.

Perhaps I came across as sounding like a mod, but I was simply trying to point out why we should be discussing the OP video rather than your assertion that since people saw SOMETHING that night, that should not stop us from discussing the sighting in general. We should discuss it, but this thread is about the video.

But again, here's the thing SGIP, many if not most night-time UFO videos look the same too. Does that make them all one big gigantic internet hoax?

I am cynical......gawd knows that to be too true but there's still a part, perhaps instinct?.....that I use as a meter or gauge. It's the only thing I have that is still my own that's uninfluenced. And to me, I feel this is real.

If you've notice (not that this validates the video but) a lot of popular UFO sights are using this exact clip in this sighting/ story. I would think at some point, this video must've been more scrutinized than we can ever accomplish here in order to be used. I'll go back into my History folder and see if I can re-find those websites. I know I saw it on at least two of them

Ever wonder why the camera never really zoomed out again after the pentagon appeared? The camera movement combined with the hillbilly voice give it all away.

Clearly, the videos they show of the green streak are from 2006, and not 2011. This proves that the medias reporting should not be taken at face value (which has been proven many times before).

Not this meteor, i saw a different one fall and thats what meteors look like, giant fireballs falling like a bat out of hell, they don't just hang in the air like that and look like a shiny disco ball.

I guess some people are totally overlooking that pertinent witness description. This 'thing' (or perhaps another 'thing' that night) was traveling slowly. Some say, changing direction although that could've been when it broke up? Who knows.
