I don't necessarily agree with this idea, but if you're gonna do that, you can try to make it interesting.

Although, personally i believe it is not up to ATS or the mods to determine what other websites ATS members visit. (IMHO) i also think this sort of implies a type of control and censorship by ATS over it's members

No it's not, but it is up to them what gets posted on their site.

They can censor all they want and if people don't like it they can leave.

I know it sucks but that's the way it is.

At least I don't need to wory about anyone copying any of my posts to another site, because I only post carp anyway, the government don't pay me to post any good stuff

There are people who just want to stand on the shoulders of others. I for one can see why these people will copy and paste the words of others, but eventually, you get exposed, one way or another. As for the censorship of this site, I had a post deleted under 'manners' or some rubbish. This site is seriously the most censored site I have ever been on, which is confusing considering what this site stands for. Keep posts on toipc and move those off topic, sure. Delete posts that would be considered direct threats to a person(s) or posts that could make the site liable for a law suit, sure. Deleting posts because they do not conform to what is perceived to be being polite and nice, WTF? News flash, the world is not polite and nice and some of these threads that get posted have absolutely no evidence backing them. If you post a thread it should be fair game to all and every criticism as well as praise, regardless of form. Let the people air their views!

If other sites want to copy and paste stuff from here, then so be it. At the end of the day, there is no copyright on the posts (maybe an avenue to look down, I guess) and this site will always be one step ahead, so it's not like it harms the site. What will harm the site more is overly cautious censorship that beats anything I have ever known and threads that lack evidence and are posted just to get attention. I'm not saying delete them, but people should think long and hard and sought to gather evidence before posting a thread on a particular subject.

This site has a wide reputation, I think it should be encouraged to maintain a good one and a leading one in the field of seeking issues of not only government cover ups, lies and betrayal but issues that affect the general population yet get zero mainstream news coverage.

No worries m8 i am not complaining at all....i think ATS does a fine job and they should make some money and yes i do know about the maintenance costs and bandwidth and bladdy bladdy blah.

I was being quite sarcastic that someone from a cut and paste site is actually moaning that someone may be cutting and pasting their stuff verbatim.

I bet if it was cut and pasted verbatim then translated into chinese and stuck upon a foriegn site....then no worries right.

If someone cuts and pastes all the work i do then please do......I would be proud to know someone values me work so much.

I honestly don't see the problem. When you Google search something, it's logged.. When you blog, your ideas and thoughts are free to be stolen.. Sorry, but if you expect privacy on the internet it's never going to happen. I love ATS but to be perfectly honest I use it as a way to pass the time and take very little of it seriously. I would say nobody "in the know" cares about 95+% of the crap posted here.

Again, no offense...just my view of the truth.

Propagate to search the truth then bans users when they post it.
Ban users for being critical to staff.
Ban users for exposing mistakes from ATS members.
Ban users for posting links to websites that conflict with ATS interests.
Ban users for talking about this.

Is this a conspiracy? No, just plain ignorance.

I'm not arguing ATS has the right to ban me or delete my post. Of course you do! But I think it's not productive since I will be generating less content and views for you if you do ban me.

By the way, if they use scripts to grab the content, why not add some links to ATS in the posts, so peeps who visit the other site will know where it came from.

In the past years, ATS has always been vigilant with TC violations involving copyright from other sites.

I have no doubt that once this problem gets to where it should have gotten to before now within the ATS hierarchy, that someone will look into it and if this other site is indeed doing what they are doing and I have no doubt to conclude that they are, that this other site will be confronted and advised in legalese just what a continuation of such copyright infringement will lead to.

Sue their pants off and teach them a lesson whenever you get around to it, but for the sake of the ATS membership, someone better step up soon and address this violation against not only the ATS members whose posts are being stolen and plagiarized, but to ATS ownership as well, because if they think that ATS wont do anything, then we can expect it to continue unabated.

Just a thought, but I as I stated earlier in this posting. I have all the confidence that someone in ATS once they find out about this issue will deal with it the proper way. At least that is what I hope happens. You never really know until someone does something or does nothing.

Except when ATS starts censoring and I consider removing a link to that website as censoring, it gives those websites some legitimacy.

You don't get to be as big as ATS is in the internet world by not doing anything about something like this. Please don't assume they haven't.

For the life of me though, I don't understand why someone would want to C and P something from here onto another site like this, except for SEO purposes. From time to time, during the course of work, I would need to research a tiopic and I would put in certain keywords in the search bar, and a thread on this website would be at the top or near the top of the results page. As a website owner, this is what you want, because the nearer to the top you are, the more hits to your site that you are likely to have.

This other website obviously knows that ATS ranks on page one of the search results page quite often when it comes to certain topics, and this may be one reason why some posts on here are copied and pasted onto another site. For all of you who are concerned that your posts might be getting ripped off, my advice is to not use certain words or phrases that are apt to be picked up by the search engines too frequently in your posts.

Whether some of you know it or not, some of your posts are what they call "keyword optimized". I haven't looked into it, but my first thought is that "9/11", for example, would be a very fertile keyword for other people to harvest and re-plant on their site so as to get further up on the search page, thereby ensuring them of more hits. So if you thread or post about this subject, don't repeat that "word" too may times and the people who steal posts from here probably won't steal yours because Google isn't going to pick up on it anyway. On the flipside, doing that isn't going to help ATS in that regard ether. But it's not THAT important for ATS because they're already the leader in this particular pack. Which is what this other site wants to be, which is probably wy they're doing this.

Forget about copyrights. When you get to be as big as ATS is, where you rank on a search results page is more important. It would be for me at least. And copyright infringement is what websites use to put a stop to this. Every post is time stamped, so it's not hard to prove.

Well, the only thing I know is godlikeproduction.com is run by mason/Illuminati, trying to disinfo those guys.
