Actually, explaining to my doctor why I was laughing so hard probably would not have gone too bad. He probably would have been open to the concepts, but then after reviewing it looked at me over his glasses and asked "your not buying this crap, are you?" I'm very lucky in the fact my two main doctors are best friends, both Indian and both incredibly nice and good at their jobs. They have even invited me to dance with their families at a temple festival. I missed it this year, but I hope to join them next year.

Now on the other hand, if I tried to explain it to the nurse.....

I'm just going to throw this out here, not saying whether it is my opinion or it is not. It's been said that those who truly know the Truth, would consider being labeled a mystic an.......... embarrassment. I don't want to insult anyone here who may consider themselves a mystic. I am just sayin'....

It gets back to the whole idea that the astral plane is only a stop on the elevator, it's just another part of the material world. It is not Source, it is not the highest Truth. It is yet another diversion and distraction on the way up the elevator to the top.

Has everyone noticed it appears that a love match may be in the making on the Record?

Was it on this thread, or somewhere else, or did I just dream it, where there was some discussion about how you would know if the train jumped tracks to a different parallel reality? And the suggestion would be that there would be a detail that would not add up for you, like, JFK was still alive and had never been assassinated.

This came up in conversation with my husband last night. He knows about my participation on this thread and we've had lots of chuckles as I update him every night. He is logical, rational guy but lovingly tolerates my metaphysical/spiritual explorations... "humors" me.. hee hee.

Anyway, he has an incredible memory for facts and details and dates. We call him the "human Google" because if we have no access to the internet, he will know the answer, 99.99% of the time. He also kicks everyone's butt in games of trivia. Meanwhile, my brain works much differently: I cannot hold facts and dates in my head to save my life, but I have a better grasp of the "big picture" and major themes, even if I cannot tell you the exact details.

So we had been out at the pub playing trivia a few nights ago and a question came up... neither of us now remember the exact question (which is pretty funny itself)... it was something about Presidents, and what is the most ex-presidents being alive at the same time. And, we got this question wrong. Yes, my human Google got this question wrong...

Last night something hit us both and we suddenly had this weird feeling.... maybe we got the question RIGHT, but that we really had jumped train tracks? I.e., our answer was right if we were still on track 1, but now we are on track 2, and this is one of those "glitches" that let us know we are on track 2...

Which led to massive google fact checking... and hubby ultimately concluding that we must've just been tired, and are now misremembering, but I dunno... and then he and I talked about how if this is true, if it is possible to jump tracks, well, he said maybe I jump tracks frequently which is why I'm constantly claiming fact A, while he says no, that's wrong, it's fact B, and we look it up, and he is right and I am wrong... ?

Thought that would be fun to discuss on this thread. It could simply be that my brain is like swiss cheese and I suck at facts. That's the simplest answer, right? But even he was a little shaken last night, when we thought about that one particular trivia question...

I also wanted to comment on this:

... which seemed to go up after I made my recent posts here about my experiences with manual #1.

If Open is referring to manual #4, I have tons and tons of experience with that one --- well before I stumbled upon the oct28 site. I know exactly what that manual is trying to demonstrate. The simplest analogy is the common experience we've all had, lying on our backs gazing at the clouds, and seeing animals and shapes in them. "Look! There's a giraffe!" When you point this out to your friend, they see the same shape in the cloud.

The rational answer is "the mind is excellent at pattern recognition" and "power of suggestion is... quite powerful."

I'm not a 9/11 Truther. I really don't care anymore whether it was inside job or not. What fascinates me and continues to fascinate me is the whole idea that as millions of eyes around the world watched it play out on t.v., and were told it was terrorists flying passenger planes, that's what we all saw.

Maybe if enough saw controlled demolition, as the truthers believe, that's what we'd have collectively agreed happened.

And even freakier.......... as the article suggests.......... maybe the towers fell all by themselves, from collective human fear.

Suspend all belief, and *do* doubt, (opposite of what Open tells you to do), and then and only then do you go on a very interesting journey.

At least that site only has a start date and not an end date. Having only a start date leads to an infinite thread! It could go forever. Unless it is a viral for a movie like the immortals....kinds of sounds like it. Meh.

I'm a great believer in where thoughts go energy flows and also what you focus on you will attract.

That is why it is so vital to be in a clear feeling/knowing place and not a place of doubt (of your own sense of self I mean) or belief or theory. When the pressure comes on these foundationless constructs are all blown out of the water and all we are left with is what we can feel and know.

And I've learned this so much from experience. The minute I stray into territories of what should be right or true in my life as opposed to what it's actually feeling like and telling me from within I get into big trouble!!

Maybe I'm a simple soul but I need things clear and straight forward or else my own imaginings can become destructive and I have no doubt that collective fear could collapse the towers just as easily as a controlled demolition.

All the cryptic doublespeak that the open site has fallen into, is to me a symptom of the teenage stage of seeking. I know at that age I loved that sort of chatter and fantasy Yoda figures. But it just doesn't cut the mustard for me when actually getting on with the business of living here on the planet as a being that is capable of manifesting good and bad results in equal measure.

The process of staying clear is a daily effort and I think we are only beginning to grasp the real power of our consciousness. Like you said in an earlier post the astral planes are fun and interesting but are ultimately just bits to experience on the way and not an end in themselves.

So yes I agree doubt everything, except true inner knowing. There has to be a stable inner core, a place separate from ego and thoughts and that it the ultimate protection. When that is in place the journey does become interesting because then exploration is done without fear or at least when fear does come up it can be identified and acknowledged and cleared before going on.

I really do feel that the world is far more magical than we realise and that we are all alchemists who can move timelines and change events by the power of intention. So for me we have to collectively become super clear. I rarely watch the news as it focuses my attention on all that is going wrong and so it magnifies that feeling of hopelessness. I try to stay in tune with all the bits that are going right as that gives me hope for the planet and our evolution here.

I also think that the more in tune with ourselves we become the faster we manifest things so the saying be careful what you wish for is so true as is the idea a friend of mine coined called feckless manifestation ie the idea that by carelessly focusing on what we fear or don't want or even half do want can bring it about and then we sit there saying oh crap I didn't mean that to happen!

Anyway you got me going with that thought provoking post so thanks Shaba!
