To be honest, I am at the end of my tether with the petty, childish western democratic system that governs most of us... It's a constant never ending merry go round of lying to get elected, spending the next 2 years or so slagging off your predecessors and blaming them for the whole sorry mess, and then 2 years of lying yourself and being more interested in getting re-elected than doing your job effectively.... Politics is becoming/has become a circus of ludicrous porportions

I don't believe any U.S. president has had any real power since the JFK Assassination. Leaders are chosen by special interests, mainstream media and banking cartels. We cannot see our real leaders as they lead from behind a curtain. This is why someone like George W. Bush went from campaigning against nation building to destroying and rebuilding Iraq. Obama sold us all on hope and change but as soon as he got into office, same old stuff. This is why Ron Paul won't get anywhere close to Casa Blanca, because he would try to take the reigns back with support from the people and, forgive me for sounding like the cliche CTist, "they" can't have that.

I don't think W. or Obama are any better or worse than anyone since Kennedy. They just understand their place and accept it as it comes with it's perks. A lot of headaches, as well, but I'm sure they ignore the potential pains in the neck when applying for the job. Our last 2 presidents probably really regret it now as people want their heads on a pike.

The only difference between Augustus and Hitler is that Augustus won so he got to choose who wrote the History books. If Hitler had won your History class would have taught you how the Allies committed mass atrocities and how the Germans were the good guys.

So what you're basically saying is that you want a tyrant. You value security over liberty. Problem is, it's not just your liberty you're gambling with.

Friend...we are passed Marxism, Socialism, Communism, and all the other things of yesteryear you worry about. Those things you worry about are as relevant as running down the streets yelling the Red Coats are coming, or the "Injuns" are attacking.

See how rididulous the two examples I use sound? That's how ridiculous people who worry about Marxism and Communism are. Those things are outdated, the travesties that happened under communism will never happen in this day and age. Close that chapter and begin worrying about the travesties CAPITALISM and freedom are causing. For I don't believe communism was never responsible for a tragedy that can affect the planet on the scale of the BP oil spill. Communism didn't have other countries people dying in diamond mines to supply them with crystals.

You oppose redistribution of wealth from top to bottom, but have no qualms with it going bottom to top? How can you worry about children and babies but despise socialist programs? I can tell from the OP however, that he/she feels this thread is necessary and he/she seems to have decent intentions, that I can respect. But that is just my opinion.

The offices/departments of the US Government funded by US citizens have changed the names of almost every office/department over the past 100 years to suit its purpose...whatever that was at that time. Example, The Department of Chemistry, now we call it the FDA....lol, what a bunch of @$$ clowns (look back near the year 1909 to get answers for this one and see what has happened since). Ever wondered why the same names have been in power/politics in one form or another for over/near 100 years? Well hell, go back at least 100 years and then you'll find out why and what their interests were and still are. Then you'll start getting to the "nitty gritty"! Most of our money goes into these departments/offices. This will jump start your fiscal research at the very least.

You all really need to stop finger pointing and make an attempt to educate yourselves so we can stop arguing. At that point we can all be on the same page and have a fair discussion about US Politics, Policies, etc., and how to "really" change the way our nation is controlled/operated. Otherwise, we're all doomed to further Gov./Financial/Political disasters.

In ending, I know I will get criticized and scrutinized for bringing up these issues without backing them up. But this isn't science and we're not participating in the local science fair, these are historical facts that can be found anywhere in your local libraries or online libraries, so that criticism/scrutiny will get you no where fast with me. I'm not going to do it for you and lay it out in plain view here on ATS or any other site for that matter. If I did, that would cost ya major cheddar

As the leader of America, people will naturally blame him. He doesn't need to be shielded by his citizens that elected him. Of all things, it is good for him to see the disappointment and anguish of the people so that he can clearly understand that the people of the United States are not satisfied and that he needs to rethink on his past actions so that he may make better decisions for the future.

As for the Muslim thing, I too am a tad curious as to why it took 2 months to released an altered birth certificate...
