Ron Paul; Let Iran Have the Bomb

I'm just tired of hearing the bleating. If we have to '' isolate '' so be it. Isolation is a good thing, sometimes a break away from it all is healthy. Why do we always have to be the referee. Just give me the candidate that doesn't yap yap and actually does something before we go further down whatever type of road we're heading now leads.

Thats all just a pipe dream though. For some reason that world will always be about talk.

I don't know who I'm voting for, at this point I'm leaning mostly towards R.Paul. You can listen to all their perspectives and if you think in that perspective, you'll agree. So far Paul has made more points I agree with.

After a little online research It appears that Ron Paul is correct. While Iran used to have an air force, most of it has been destroyed, is beyond repair or they lack the necessary replacement parts. Fun website you linked. It looks like it was put up by a middle school student.

If someone wants to nuke us and they are determined enough, they would try no matter if it is Iran, or anyone else. If you get someone that is determined, has any type of way to get it here, and just totally consumed by hate, you have a scenario.

I don't think going on nuclear witchhunts will make us any more safer.

IRANS Air Force = 52,000 active personnel and 530 aircraft
90 fighter jets, 44 F-14 tomcats of which only 25 are operational.
And a bunch of trainers, and other "crap" that's pretty much useless in combat roles, unless haphazardly retrofitted in a hurry, and then...MEH..

UNITED STATES AIRFORCE = 329,638 active personnel
68,872 reserve personnel
94,597 air guard personnel
5,573 aircraft, of which 2,132 are fighters
450 ICBMs

Sure I agree that we shouldn't interfere with Iran's development of the bomb. Only two possible outcomes, 1) they are the nice guys that they say and will not attack us or any of our allies and all is well, or, 2) they do attack us or our allies and we give them a little more nuclear and then all is well too.

Either Iran gets a nuclear bomb, or Israel gets rid of theres.


Either the middle east becomes 100% nuclear bomb free......or everyone can have them.

Either mankind grows up, or we start slaughtering each other and become extinct. I seriously do NOT think the human species is intelligent.

No, 280 jet fighters/attack aircraft, 3 maritime/spotting aircraft,, 6+ recon/aew, an intercontinental tanker/refueler, 142 transports, 219 trainers, 32 helicopters and at least 450 missiles do not constitute a laughing matter. I have fought an air war. It is nearly suicidal to underestimate an enemy because your own stuff is newer. All of our F-4s, F-105s, and B-52s were brand spanking new compared to the N Vietnamese Mig 15s, and 17s and SA-2 (V-75) missiles, which were of a 1950s design.

People said the same thing about the Iraqi military and look at what happened there?
The only thing that killed American tanks in that battle (Gulf War 1) was other American tanks, a little glitch we have since fixed. That was the Army by the way, my territory, advanced as hell but backwoods compared to the tech of the Air Force.

Domination has been the Us Air forces Game for many decades now, hence the motto "no one comes close"

His comment that Iran doesn't have an airforce was correct. Unless having some airplanes and helecopters makes an airforce. The point that should be taken from that comment is: They have no air-superiority that can hold a torch to what we have.
Remember the highly trained Iraqi forces that were going to fight us to the death?
Remember how long it took us to march to Bagdad?

The Iranians are not necessarily our friends, but for us to allow fearmongering to dictate our policy is disgraceful and is cause for concern. The blabber-mouths are just trying to create more crisis.
Crisis = Policy
which = the ability to implement more control over us, here at home.

Ron Paul is right, which is why he sounds so out there. No one else has the guts to say anything close to the truth, let alone say something as absurd as leaving Iran alone. Crazy talk, right?
