Um...we still have our triple A, mainly because the banking practices that screwed y'all so bad would get you prison time up here. Mind you, Steve was a proponent of joining your parade when he was in opposition. Now he gets to sit back and take credit for the better deeds of others. Whatever.

I know I am that's for damn sure. I can't speak for the other 309,999,999 Americans though.

Intriguingly, you pass Dr. Pecks test in terms of at least two of the four tools of discipline needed to achieve a lasting state of mental and spiritual health and well being!

Btw, the will, to utilize the four tools of discipline, is love.

It's not about me, or where i'm from, but just for the record I'm from Canada, yes Canada of the Stephen Harper Conservative Government who once stated that the US Republican Conservative movement, under the leadership of Bush/Cheney "are a light to the world"..

Ultimately Canada is no different than America.

Whatever accusations you level at America can also be leveld at Canada.

The furious intensity with which Canadians froth and sputter about their "distinctiveness" is just one more indication that it is an illusion and that in every meaningful way they are nothing mroe than "USA lite."

Sorry, but its the truth. Just learn to relax with it and it's not so bad, facing reality at last.

It's not an accusation, just an observation, or an inquiry.

In part the Canadian identity is rooted in the insecurity of not knowing who we are as Canadians, but we're proud of it, being a big nobody, eh? It's no less absurd, but perhaps a little more open minded maybe? We don't mind being crazy, as long as there's beer in the fridge, hockey, maple syrup, etc.

Are you legally insane or legally a psychopath
I've seen you claim both.

A psycho would state as you do, that everyone is insane, and we should just deal with it.

That's trashy reasoning devoid of common sense and humanity.

In my view the entire nation is sick. Sick and dying.

It's plain and simple - brainwashing. Brainwashing, brainwashing, brainwashing. Hour after hour, year after year, generation after generation. You can say the propaganda is in their genes at this point, I guess. Land of the free, home of the brave. Give me a break. What a bunch of weak, pathetic people. Well, the overwhelming majority, obviously. There are always exclusions.

Once, they were a truly free society, I'll give you that. At least in relation to what humanity has been used to the past few thousand years. But now? A rotting corpse.

And who's to blame? The republicans, the liberals? DEEERP. Wrong. The CIA, the freemasons, MJ-12, the NWO? Yyynope. It's the people's fault. Ultimately, it's always the citizens' fault for letting their nation get taken over by the interests of a small group of people that operate behind closed doors - beyond the sight of the people. The state - that's you and me. So why is the state so ()$*#ed up and what are you doing about it?

A troll opening post if ever I saw one. You might as well pick any country and ask what is wrong with it as I haven't found the perfect country yet. But if there is, can someone let us know cos we'll all move there!

I dont think anyone is saying any country is perfect, but that doesnt mean one can't discuss the issues that a certain country has, in this case America. Which is similar to a modern day Babylon scenario.

If there is a perfect country, you have given them an extremely good reason not to advertise that fact: fear of getting invaded by the USA/Americans!

The reality is that the system in place is way too far down the road for us to stop it now. The dollar will crash, the economy will crash, and there will be chaos.... but from that darkness the great people of this country who truly care, the ones you don't hear about in the media, will rise up to lead this country back to glory.... well maybe not glory but maybe atleast we'll have a stable society, economy, and gov't afterwards.... or maybe after SHTF we'll just end up in Zimbabwe....

Just everyone from outside the United States needs to realize that there are a lot of us that want change but the plutocracy that is the USofA has been damned and it has been damned by no one but its own people. We have no one else to blame and we will, soon enough, face the consequences.

It just makes me sad.

It would seem that we are all of us mentally ill to a greater or lessor degree, lacking in perfect mental health and well being. It's in the blank spot of awareness and understanding however, where it assumes a state of hopelessness ie denial. It is often the sickest and most destructive who need to maintain at any cost, the illusion of and the image of perfection.

At least those who are willing to admit their shortcomings and take responsibility, have the means by which to grow and to improve their spiritual and psychological state of being. So which position then contains the greater humanity, and the hope for our individual and collective improvement..?

The real problem with people of the US these days seems to be that while they know deep down that there is a terrible and systemic problem, few are prepared to admit it or take any responsibility..

Is the USA "mentally ill"? What's wrong with the USA?

And more importantly, who is responsible? And can it be fixed? Can "Humpty Dumpty" be put back together again..?

Are we bearing witness to the fall of an empire?

The US as in its people are 60% brainwashed by the tv

the US as in its government is carefully transforming the republic / democracy into a corporatocracy / globalist movement. Don't listen to what they say. it does sound crazy. Watch what they DO instead. then it all makes sense.

So the PTB are dispensing the indespensible nation for the sake of globalization. If that's the case, then my question is - in what way does this make the world a better place, either at home or abroad?

I don't think they even know WHAT they are doing, wrongly assuming that the nature of reality and human existence, is a zero sum gain. By the standard of mental health, as measured by the use of the four tools of discipline, it would appear that they are failing abysmally, and that this is merely an issue of GREED, nothing more, nothing less.

If the plan was to level the playing field for the Third World of the Southern Hemisphere, then we would have already seen an outpouring of debt free wealth directed that way, instead of into their coffers.

"You will know them by their fruits."

I think it could be medication. Zombie movies have made a huge presence in movies and games, and I have always thought that may signify the state of our culture, and the term zombie is an african voodoo word meaning to be able to control ones actions with meds.
