police closed of all exits the crowed is getting pushed back to the hackney town hall. She is calling me scared and the police can see she is not part of it but won't let her out

Thats exactly the type of thing that will turn more and more people against the police and eventually bring on a full scale battle type scenerio. Hope she gets home safe pal

Its takes about 20-30 years for collective consciousness to cause creation. everything from Star Trek took about that long.

This protest 'riot' wasn't to do with the banking industry or poverty.

It's to do with 'gangs' and policing of areas where gun crime along with drugs is rife.
That mixed in with claims of racism by the Police who are trying to tackle those problem areas.

The problem is crime pays. A person can make a load of cash, not taxed, by dealing drugs compared to what they could get if they got a job.

I'm sick of the 'poor me' attitude.

Maybe if they stayed in school, went to college and worked up a career ladder maybe they'd be in a different situation.

Kicking off in Lewisham and trouble brewing in Brixton.

This will go from suburb to suburb, city to city. The fuse has been lit, what is it going to take to stem this?

Will the Army be called upon to sort this out? Marshall law declared? Is this just what the Government wants?

They were warned from the outset that cutting the Police budget would leave the Police stretched, maybe the Police are using this to demonstrate this?

Rioting and looting is never the answer. Peaceful non compliance is the only way forward.

90% of them are unemployable due to their gang affiliations, bad attitude to fellow humans....and lack of education.
They only have themselves to blame to be honest. The cuts dont help but these kids are wasters, they want something for nothing.

They obviously want to continue with the criminal line so as to hold back others from other cities joining in. It wont be long IMO before they have to admit its got a lot to do with people just having enough of this opression we find ourselves in.

Notice every report and interview they highlighting the word "Criminality" "Thug", its called media brainwashing, it wont work cause I know for a fact people can see this for as the beginning of what it really is

Go to college yea, sure... then have no job after, i know plenty of people who have gone to college and uni, left and not been able to find a job, and looking at the economy right now, things are going down the drain again and why do you think that is.... because of our greedy, useless government, not just the UK, US as well, there is no career anymore, thats a myth.

Thanks... here are some further worthy words from Muse. Partcilarly relevant in my humble opinion

"Take A Bow"

Corrupt
You're corrupt
Bring corruption to all that you touch
Hold
You behold
And beholden for all that you've done
And spin
Cast a spell
Cast a spell on the country you run
And risk
You will risk
You will risk all their lives and their souls

And burn
You will burn
You will burn in hell, yeah you'll burn in hell
You'll burn in hell
Yeah you'll burn in hell
For your sins

And our freedom's consuming itself
What we've become
It's contrary to what we want

Take a bow

Death
You bring death, and destruction to all that you touch
Pay
You must pay
You must pay for your crimes against the earth
Yeah hex
Feed the hex
Feed the hex on the country you love

Now beg
You will beg
You will beg for their lives and their souls

Now burn
You will burn
You will burn in hell, yeah you'll burn in hell
You'll burn in hell
Yeah you'll burn in hell
You'll burn in hell
Yeah you'll burn in hell
For your sins

The bbc reporter has allegedly been bottled.....shameful!!

1738: FLASH – our source on the ground says the BBC reporter in Hackney has been bottled. Source was standing next to her at the time – she’s now getting out of there. Violence escalating.

Some phone companies give such phones away for free on monthly contracts, so it's not unlikely.

Besides, technology is cheap. What better way to distract people when they suddenly lose jobs?

There's nothing poor about these morons, they probably couldn't spell poor, let alone know how to practice it. They are nothing more than materialistic, self serving, lazy parasites who think society owes them a free ride.

Poor because they only have £25.00 trainers.

2 things to be aware of.

This is not yet actually called a "riot" by the gov or police but "civil disobediances.

The reason as we can see many riots over many days.

If its a riot any losses suffered (peoples belongings, properties etc) from it which are uninsured, Has to be covered and paid for by the Council/government.

So "Riot" police are being used for a little bit of civil disobedience.

No riots = no compensation to the innocent, whilst as I speak police under attack with riot police having running battles in at least 3 separate areas of London.

Also SKY news at 17.54 ticker stating MET police admitting using "Rookie" under trained Riot police.

Were all ok because Boris Johnson is flying back home!

Maybe he will throw jam sandwiches or teddy bears at them.

Kind Regards,

Elf

Its what the British do best (apart from preying on the weak), sticking their head in the sand and blaming others for what they dont even understand. The media has done an impressive job in brainwashing and conditioning the people of this nation. I think there are definitely criminal elements involved hijacking the protests as usual, and its usually the police who instigate the violence, but the point is, at least they are doing something about police corruption and brutality. Not everyone involved is violent or looting.

I dont know where to start,

My Country is sliping away from us and its breaking my heart that they are using the one method that we had to resist them,

The Public want the army on the streets, Tear gas, Rubber bullets, water cannons...all over a BUNCH of kids...they have won 99% of the pop are sheeple...

in a couple of months when they really want to Protest about the bank runs that are coming our way hope they all cheer the army on then

This is sin't about the poor rising up. As you said, the poor don't have Blackberries. This about young, bored, disenfranchised, people screaming a collective FU to "the man". If I was 17 I'd be pissed off too, stuff is looking bad for that generation.

That being said, destroying your neighbourhood and local shops is not the answer.

Interesting, how the media is playing up the "social networking" angle. That has been an angle in the Arab Spring as well, but in a more positive light, possibly making it more difficult to use social networking and other tehcnology tools for future protests.

Hope everyone stays safe tonight.
