The basic problem with the economy is outlined here by, none other than the economic czar of Ronald Reagan, Paul Craig Roberts:
Read where he says demand, that is consumer demand. Consumer demand is way down primarily because of the fact that wages haven’t moved up as the profits of corporations have, and as the wealth of the rich and super rich has been raised so high.
Debt is an attempt by the system to maintain consumer demand that has now fallen by the wayside because jobs have been outsourced because of the policies of both parties towards global corporations.
Government debt is so high because of the tax cuts for the rich, and the narrow tax base due to jobs moving overseas.

Political maps are made for political purposes that have little to do with realities on the ground.
For the past few decades SoCal has been as red as they get. Our county government here has wasted years and millions of taxpayer money fighting the medical marijuana laws that were passed statewide, refusing to abide by the laws of the state because they, personally, disagree with them, and use our taxpayer dollars to fight implementing them.
We have some of the highest ratios of police to citizens, yet when the nude mistress of a Coronado millionaire Pharma exec is found hanging from his balcony with her hands and feet tied behind her back, coincidentally just days after his child falls down the stairs and goes into a coma, her death is being investigated as a suicide. The mayor of San Diego, an ex-cop reform Republican, skated on bribery and malfeasance charges when he let a buddy ignore FAA rules and overbuild in the path of a runway by 2 or 3 stories, blamed underlings, confusing regs, "not my area of expertise", etc.
In Orange County the cops have been known to brag that "federal law don't apply here".
Most folks around me own guns, aren't afraid to use them, and are as conservative as they come.
California just looks leftish to those who think Attila, Genghis, and Pol Pot were too soft.

I have yet to see any plan proposed by the Democrats or Obama? When are they planning to do so?

The Tea Party is every bit as much of part of a demoracy as the Reps and Dems. This kind of division is totaly insane.Just blame everyone else for the entire countrys fault.
Tomorrow the Riverside County Board of Supervisors will discuss a proposal to hold a summit to consider a plan for the possible secession of 13 counties from the state of California. Yep, it's the slow news days of July and things are getting serious with Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone's idea to turn Fresno, Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Tulare into the great conservative state of South California

Spending might be a big issue.
But lack of jobs is a HUGE issue that dwarfs spending.
All I hear from Tea-Partiers is how when times are bad a family cuts expenses, tightens their belt, and shrinks their lifestyle.
Funny, most families I know of went looking for work instead, and got another job to to make ends meet..
But, what's that you say?
The Tea-Partiers want Americans to work for Somali wages otherwise they can't compete and are taking money from their employers' dogs' mouths.
That would work out just fine if landlords accepted Somali rent scales, and employers were paid Somali salaries.
But we aren't in Somalia, we're in America, and in America, if you want to do business here, take advantage of our infrastructure, stability, and resources, then pay freaking American wages that are sufficent to pay American costs and allow sufficient capital accumulation for new businesses to form at the bottom.
With enough people working at decent wages, none of this would be an issue, much less a problem.
The capitalist segment of this country has utterly failed it.

They were voted in by a majority of the voting populace and they never abused the system like the Republicans are doing now. That’s the point of my OP.
They NEVER threatened to destabilize the economic system if they didn’t get their way.

The problem is that the rest of the world hears the opinions of DailyKos and Huffington Post and the MSM when it comes to what the Tea Party is about. They have heard Nancy Pelosi and Janet Napolitano deride Tea Party in the worst way. And why have they done that? It's simple, Tea Party is the true representative of Constitutional Liberty and American values and therefore the biggest threat to the spread of Socialism.
