Tea Party the cause of debt default.

The congress provides a great counter balance to an extremist senate that insists upon seemingly infinitely raising the debt limit and spending more of our taxpayer money. Our "goose is cooked" if we raise the limit, the debt will still eventually need to be paid (which I hear is now mathematically impossible) if we refuse to raise it, the same is true, it needs to be paid, we have already defaulted, the government might as well own up to it in the present and not keep putting off the inevitable. An ultimate default of the American debt purposefully constructed of strongly fettered chains built though the guise of helping the people is as inevitable as the existence of God. I fail to see how what the congress is doing is any worse than the alternative proposed by the liberals.Socialism administered by a corrupt government never can provide a permanent answer to the needs of the poor, and the poor will always be with us.

Well i can see this thread has run it's course.
A lot of very interesting opinions.
And it looks like they are going to pass a debt bill at the last minute.
I think maybe every side is trying it's best to come out smelling like roses.
But to me they all smell like turds.
One thing for sure , we are a very divided nation.
Is that good or bad?
The verdict is still out.

"Evil Corporations" are what is paying the taxes in the country, from the top down to the employee.

You want to get rid of the "evil corporation" - then people will have no jobs (yes, even less than now) and there will be no tax money to pay for all the welfare benefits.

Unless you would like to take care of that for all of us.

Where do you get this stuff from?
First of all, corporations in the US get some of the biggest tax breaks and shelters known the world over.
Second of all, before we got a walmart in town shipping our money out of the country we had privately owned bakery, grocery, autopart, toy, and clothing stores all keeping the money local and enriching the people of the community. Why do you think you need corporations to give you jobs? Isn't that what corporations want you to think?

No minimum wage is harming people and economy.Let's imagine that some company want to hire a homeless to rake leaves out of estate. It's an easy job for few hours per day, so they can't pay him minimal wage, because they won't have any profit. But law orders them to do that. So at long last homeless don't have a work, and company need to order raking leaves to few of their workers, because they already have the job and one person can't stand so much work per day. Company loose from such policy, because workers who could do more qualified job, need to do some tedious mindless raking.

You might wanna google "working poor" and read up on how great no minimum wage is for people in China
