It's so funny reading the comments by people who state that there's nothing here to look at and that 'everyone WANTS to be different and special'. Are you serious? So, you're arguments are that people want to be different so they'll read 'characteristics' and automatically apply them to themselves? In other words, we're all the same and that the people who actually observe psychological differences between themselves and the majority are really just 'wanting' to see those differences and these differences are actually an illusion?

The fact that many of you can't see these differences is not surprising. You're the 97% the OP speaks of. If you're too similar to the masses, what do you expect to think? I'm not trying to judge you guys, I'm just stating my simple observations. There are differences. Is the OP 100% right? I don't believe so, but he has presented material that makes a lot of sense (the feminine aspect, etc.).

The term "Indigo" is an unfair label. I hate it, although I believe I am what THEY call Indigos. All an Indigo Child is to me is simply a child who has become aware of certain aspects of life much earlier than the majority and has a set pattern to show this awareness. It's the "Why am I aware of such things, and why do I display 99% of these so called "characteristics' that really get me......

What makes a leader and what makes a follower? Why?

Finally, some scientific point. Now consider the following: Sex is determined by chromosomes and sex-linked traits. That is the very definition of sex. And once again, making the leap from psychological development to magical powers is QUITE the stretch.

Not to be a debbie downer but the thing about these posts is they seem to have an air of superiority complex about them, so you are a self diagnosed personality type that believes they are special. WE ARE ALL SPECIAL, it doesnt matter if you self diagnose as an enfj or inft or whatever crap that means.

The problems with Meyers-Briggs, and virtually all personality tests, are plentiful. The biggest criticisms are:

1 - The four factors MBTI uses to gauge personality are not a sufficient gauge of personality. Other personality tests use eight.

2 - Validity. In reading the questions on the test, it is easy for subjects to determine the intent behind the questions and answer accordingly, but not always honestly.

3 - Lack of Falsifiability. The MBTI takes its factors to be indicators of personality, but there's really no reliable method to test whether or not this is really the case.

4 - Background theory. The MBTI factors are based on the writings of Karl Jung, who was a student of Sigmund Freud. Psychology was still in its infancy during Jung's lifetime, and many would agree Jung's theories are much more philosophy than psychology. Much of his work, while certainly interesting, is not scientific in the slightest.

Not that I don't believe people are being led down a negative path, and that certain mental and physical exercises can help along the way, which I do. It just seems that to much stock is put into a self chosen title for ones own mind.

Good post, I just don't agree with the "philosophy" behind Meyers-Briggs testing(not really testing but self verification)

But as to the rest, you're making the leap from the scientific to the unscientific. Nobody would argue that we are all exactly the same. As for ADD, I believe it's over-diagnosed and at worst, may be an entirely fictitious condition.

From what I glean off of your posts, you seem really intelligent but unfortunately, you're being lead astray by nonsense. Just because you rise above your peers intellectually, it does not make you into some sort of superhuman with magic powers.

For me, my IQ is comparable to that of the average person what theirs is to the functionally retarded. Does this make me special? No. There are many more that are orders of magnitude higher up than me. I recognize this fact and accept it. I also realize that IQ is more a measure of capacity and ability than actual knowledge. Growing up reading everything I can get my hands on, I can almost feel like I'm close to the brim. I see my own limitations of understanding. You should see yours as well.

This will be something like the 20th time that I've asked people to go back and read my previous posts. I have ripped the OP's hypothesis to shreds on every count. I'm practically begging you to find those and fact-check it yourself. If you want real answers, I cannot provide them but I can also point out others who cannot. I at least have the ability to do that for you.

I agree fully. Can't tell you how many times I've been called a "Faggot" or "Homo" based merely on the way I look and present myself (I don't and have never waxed any part of my body, not even my caterpillar brows ) I'm not only the advice guy for relationships but I do the following which many insecure males consider "Gay":
- I wear pink and other bright palette colors (girls love it)
- I love: Titanic, The Notebook, Clueless, and Eat, Pray, Love.
- I easily get triggered to cry when I see others in severe scenarios (Ex: Haiti, Katrina, poverty stricken countries)
- I tend to have more girlfriends than I do guy friends

The "Feminine" List goes on and on my friend. You're not alone. This was one aspect of the OP's post that I struck a chord, and that I had not read about. Much more clearer now.

Excuse me? You're the only one laying attacks here. Opinions are needed or this would never have been posted in the first place. Not only were opinions given, but facts as well. ? Me neither, It relates to 2012 as per what the op said but it does seem to have more a tone of female vs male or masculine vs feminine. Your guess is as good as mine, I was just posting my opinions on the op's remarks about personality types.
