I have lived for too long in a country split apart by hate, and I know what hate and intolerance is like. One of the reasons why I moved to Norway. Up to now I felt safe discussing politics, religion, etc. with anyone, without the fear of having the # beat of of me, or being killed, or my wife, or kids being raped because of my political/religious POV. I beg you not to take that from me again....

Agreed with both of the last comments, there were multiple gunmen. Why else would they have sent commandos to search the island if the sole gunman was already in custody?

They just confirmed shooter was Norwiegen.

according to the official story this guy lured all the teens near the water before he started shooting. i find it highly doubtful anyone would go near him if he was decked out like rambo with multiple guns and ammo.

I must not have been clear, I know the camp was a labour camp. Left leaning. I was refering to the gunman as an ultra-national right winger angry with the left. He may be angry with immigration laws and is taking revenge on those "lefties" that allowed the influx of forgieners.

Agreed, especially considering that Norwegian police are normally unarmed. Each patrol car is equipped with 2 pistols but they are kept in a locked box. Also, this guy would have had to be the best marksman on Earth to hit that many people. It's one thing to hit a stationary target but when people are freaking out running around it would be much harder.

First of all sincere condolences to the people of Norway!

The bombs were placed near the government buildings and the shooter was on the island that the Prime Minister was previously scheduled to visit but canceled at the last moment.

Sounds as though they were after the Prime Minister but I guess we will need to wait until the facts are revealed or the lies have been cast.

Norwegians take photos you never know what may be of value later.

That have no warheads in them.

My take on this one; Norway was the first country who wanted to recognize a sovereign and independent Palestine country (And the voting about this matter would be now.). Now take the pieces together and you get the full picture. If Norway won't recognize Palestine after this, my theory is correct.

OSLO, Norway — Apparent terror attacks rocked Norway on Friday when a bomb wrecked government buildings in the capital, including the prime minister's office, and a gunman dressed as a police officer opened fire at an island youth camp.

Police arrested one person and said the two attacks were linked.

"Our information is that (the suspect) is Norwegian,'' Justice Minister Knut Storberget said, adding "I don't know so much about him.''

Okay, he is a domestic terrorist.

Was this personal? Was he working with someone? What was his psychological motivation? Was he working with any groups?

i live 30 min away from the blast and i felt a thunder of roar when it happen, i tought it was thunder since of the rainy and black clouds outside. intill i heard the terrible news. i had some plans to go to the city for some shopping but luckily i didn't.

however i dont think this is a Muslim attack. for what i heard it was a thin white skinned man with light hair that was arrested for both camp shooting and bomb. my guess is this is from Neo Nazi terror. so far ive heard its been 10 dead on the island on Utøya and 7 dead on Oslo.

this is sad too see the decendents of the vikings to be running around like scared little children.

the bomb worked for its intended purposes to make people scared and frighten and irrational.


everyone has my sympathies.
