8-3-11 Creepy Website! Can We Figure Out The Code?!?!

I went back and looked at the photos under the Sightings link again, since they're key (maybe). I wish we could have someone that speaks Spanish look at them. I know enough to pick out words here and there...

Also, one of the photos under that link shows a woman sitting on the right and sort of gesturing up toward the poster on the bulletin board. Pinned to the top right corner of the board is a blue awareness ribbon. According to this site, blue is for child abuse prevention, free speech, crime victims' rights, alopecia, water safety...the list goes on. I can't copy and paste the text - it won't let me.

I can't believe I've been so into this. But I was really into the Lost ARG...

Does anyone remember the show "Murder in Small Town X" that was on Fox a while back? I was strangely obsessed with that, too. I need to go out and do something.

Also, when researching the date yesterday, I googled Gregorian calendar 8.3.11 or somesuch and found this site that explains 8.3.11 is 86 days away from 10.28.11 - the end of the Mayan calendar and a couple of other things. It also mentions fractal time and then my head hurt because I realized I was going to have to learn more about fractal time. But I find it interesting that the original post on the Fractal Time site is from 2009 and it directly references 8.3.11. Fractal Time

Has anyone mentioned that the main page of the website has a picture hidden in the html, file name: alberta.png?

It looks the same as the Belle photo, but is a larger size and a different name.

ACTUALLY.....In one of the sightngs postings there is missing dog poster. Lost in BAY KNOLL 6/13. There is a seven day aventist church in bay knoll rochester NY. I do not know if they are similar to LDS or not. There is also a Bay Knoll community in Clear Water Houston TX. I see there was a reference to Clear water really early in the thread but do not remember what it was about.

the best idea for frequencies had something to do with the actual frequency of a birds wings (sparrow specifically) and a reference to monty python - its in the recap but I lost the link, and it died out pretty quickly

How many street posters are people going to be able to put up around the world between now and Aug 3rd? Not that many compared to the number of people in the world who have a vested future in Aug 3rd, 2011. So, so far it is interesting marketing but still a failed campaign. Once center of mass is reached, if there is nothing new to add to the discussion, then everyone is going to drop off (just like everyone had to do after Michael Jackson never appeared under the Hollywood sign on July 13th). At that point it becomes a joke. We are probably at center of mass on this one now. The rest of the media isn't going to take this viral anymore than it has.

In other words, if 175,000 (whoever he is) doesn't have anything more to add that people are really interested in that concerns them, then this viral marketing campaign (which is what it is even if they make no money) is over.

If the sky is falling on Aug 3rd, and umbrellas are really that important, they might want to go ahead and speak up just like Harold Camping did with his viral radio campaigns to unsuspecting Christians (a few thousand of which in Vietnam actually were killed by the government the day after they assembled for the rapture and others are still hiding in the jungle for their error).

Eventually, I see something big happening. Something not hypothetical like Harold Camping's rapture nonsense, but something big that effects the internet. But right, now I think Mr. 175,000 is nervous about Aug 3rd because he is becoming just the next Harold Camping. They have already said they are not exicited about Aug 3rd and they believe reaction will be mixed. It isn't mixed for me. I am already becoming pissed.

we did notice the Alberta thing - it lead to speculation about model Camilla "Bell Alberta", which is in the recap - I just failed to mention why

I like where you're going with the same sex marriage issue - it fits along the lines of "human rights" in general - a lot of speculation about womens rights going on, as well as intellectual property rights

No the 7th day Adventists and LDS are not related other than maybe they both knock on doors. There is probably one of their churches in every community. Blindfold yourself, bring up Google maps and point and you will probably find a church within 50 miles of where you pointed. It really has nothing do with any of this.

yes, Someone pointed it out it may be related to steganography.

also Mad Simian speculated there may be SSTV (slow scan tv) signal embedded in the audio (if anyone is capable of checking on that)

Exactly, we are late to the party by two weeks. There really hasn't been anything added to the original discussion for two weeks. We just now picked it up. The 4 folks that invented 8-3-11 are probably already hiding, out and laughing about it. It would have been more interesting had we picked up the discussion two weeks ago. At this point it is an ink blot. It is whatever you want it to be. I would much prefer the four scammers show up in the city square on Aug 3rd, and tell us really what their annoucment is. Oh I get it. The US really does default on Aug 2nd on its debt (no way it will happen) and then all of a sudden that really was their ink blot. No no no. Tell us what the ink blot is now and we will decide if the group has any legitimacy come Aug 3rd. Right now they have ZERO.

I just searched the Dark Knight thread, I am only on page 1 I have to leave the house for a while and I will look more later. The only thing that may be similar so far is that He/she emphasized that they were a a group of 8. I know I am probably reaching, but who knows
